I heard dreadful rumours that at the end of DOC Sephiroth would return...I played it and checked the secret ending so I know he didn't but...it was a tense moment while waiting for the end of the movie in case Sephiroth should show.

Sony has said that they want the PS3 to have a lifespan of around 10 years. I don't think they'll go quite that long, but I think they'll go longer than the normal console lifespan. This will conveniently coincide with the conclusion of the Final Fantasy VII compilation, and I believe the fabled FFVII remake will come as a launch or close to launch title for the next Sony console.
The flaw in that scenario is by then no one will care about Sony or Final Fantasy VII anymore and we can all go on living happily and buying neither product.

Be reasonable Snk, FFVII WAS very good...just Cloud and Sephiroth are overrated. I wouldn't mind a remake of it if one were to come out.

@Air Yeah Tifa used to be one of my favourites, then I got into a debate about her VS Zell and the only logic anyone seemed to be able to truly apply was "She haz b00bs lol EPIC WINZ" and I went off her after that.

If a game gets remade into a film it usually sucks.
But for this it's no so much a remake as a.....upgrade...so what they add voices for some scenes boost the graphics massively probably add a few more CG scenes to show off...I can't really see how they can ruin something by remaking it like this.

See, that's where you're wrong. He actually did at the end of the game. Remember all of those scenes after he figures out what's really going on and what really went down all of those years ago? Buuuuuuuuut, when Advent Children game along they decided to scrap all of that wonderful character development for the angsty goodness fans all know and love from disk 2 of FFVII. I came across this site a while ago, which contains fan (I think?) translations to Squenix's official side story compilation called "On the Way to a Smile." It kind of explains Clouds progression into emoness, but he was happy at some points too. I thought it was really insightful as they provide some background information on Denzel and other characters that they included in the movie, Cloud's decision to run a delivery service, etc. They included a little scenario where Denzel and Marlene were Cloud's "assistants" in helping him plan his delivery route and Tifa watching them and thinking of them as a family. (I thought that was adorable at least) Also how Cloud would take fewer delivery jobs so he could spend time with Marlene and Denzel. It's a much less angsty side to the story and I would recommend people to check it out even just to get a better idea of the world they lived in post-Meteor. Plus they answer quite a few common questions in the FAQ like "I thought Tseng died?" "So... who exactly WERE Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo?""What exactly IS Geostigma?" Interviews with the producers too.

YAY! We love semi-secret info. But yea Snk I did think he seemed much happier and a lot less angsty at the end like completely over Aeris.
Though the pretending to be Zack thing may have designated that he went out with Aeris...never thought about that.

Mind Control? A little far fetched, memory loss? Almost definately but he filled in the blank spaces of his memory with Zack's adventures so he's pretending to be Zack in essence.

And yeah like everyone else has said it did have too much of Cloud in it.
But the film did have excellent CGI and quite a good story-line to it.
I'd give it 8/10.

Your right there was too much Cloud but for you in particular I think your lucky, Rude and Reno probably got 3rd most screen time after
1:Cloud
2: The Super Sephiroth Bros
Though I disagree with the animated difficulties. Sure it was good considering the fast-paced battles and stuff but I felt Spirits Within's CGI was better.

Why were you expecting Heidegger to make an appearence, he got one of the most comical deaths I've ever seen. He tried to flee the battle in Rocket Town or wherever and got rammed by a truck.
That was Palmer, not Heidegger. Heidegger died with Scarlet in the exploding Proud Clod, or... whatever that thing was called.
I thought the movie was alright. It had it's flaws, but it did have a great soundtrack. I hear alot of the soundtrack in Mugen matches.

I've got the Japanese version of AC. And TBH, I hate Cid's English voice actor. I never imagined Cid being a hick. I imagined him being a foul mouthed and lazy drunk. And sounding like a guy who could bite your ear off.

Awww but he's a smart hick, I liked his voice and they had to tone down the swearing a little, make him appear like a decent guy the texas accent was exactly as I envisioned it
