Pylons made me perform it with her in front of our grand parents the day after we started learning the dance. I must have messed up twenty times, but my grandparents would have known

Gosh, Kyon's VA is horrible. He's the so-called narrator of the story, isn't he? There're supposed to be parts where he talks to himself and the audience, and times when he talks to other people in the Anime. In the Japanese version, this is pretty obvious as when he's talking to himself, he lowers his voice significantly, as if he's talking in his head. When he's talking to other people, however, he talks in an obviously louder tone of voice (more boastful? I don't know)...
The dub version, howeverrrr...
He just speaks in this horribly monotone voice, no matter who he's speaking to. I had to pause and try and figure out who exactly was he talking to before I could continue, many times while watching the video.
It was a pretty irritating experience.

I HEARD that in the Light Novels it's actually even more confusing with Kyon narrating the different situations as it doesn't directly describe to who or what compared to what you usually see in conversations of books.

Ah, I found someone who uploaded them in chronological order, and I've just been watching those. Up to episode 8 so I'm just gonna finish like this. It makes perfect sense so far, I dunno how watching them out of order can make them make more sense but there must be something to it..
