rewatched GoT after watching adventure time. i didn't think i would be so affected by the episode as a whole seeing as i've pretty much already completely spoiled myself (thank you tumblr and books), but i still am.

Spoiler:
i think the one time i had THAT kind of reaction to a series was when lori died from the emergency c-section on the walking dead. but of course, i still couldn't bring myself to actually stop watching the series.

i'm cracking up though because
Spoiler:
i keep imagining the party god instead of grey wind's head sewn onto robb's body.

Spoiler:
Is it bad that I had a massive grin during that entire scene because it was just so well done? And I was looking forward to it, after hearing about it, not having read the series, but pretty much knowing the entire plot so far through osmosis of tvtropes, flatmates, discussions with uni friends. Still, seeing it in motion was even better than I thought it would be.

Huh, eveyrhting I've watched this week's been an episode 9. Gargantia, Attack on Titan, Game of Thrones (though technically it's season 3, episode 9, but I'm still counting it.)

Yeah all the anime I'm watching right now generally started around the same time as each other so they're kinda at the same episode count. Kind of.

Suisei no Gargantia is an anime about a soldier whose race fights these aliens that kill things in space somewhere. He gets separated from his fleet and gets flung to Earth where it's covered entirely in water. He meets people he's never seen before along with technology much inferior to his own. It's pretty much a character development anime. It's also a mecha, so that may be a turn off for some. Since SOME people don't like mecha.

It's also not really about the mecha, more about the contrast of someone who's entire life is war, and the relatively carefree and peaceful lives of the people on Gargantia. Although the mecha fight scenes are still gorram awesome. It's a treat to watch visually, too. Lots of beautiful oceanscapes and night skies.

So I finally decided to take a dive to sewers and finally see the Nickelodeon TMNT.

I wasn't that interested it when I saw a pics of new character models and all,
but now that I've seen first four episodes I actually like the reboot a lot.
The show certainly hit a nostalgia in my heart as it resembles the 80's tv serie quite lot.
...well...with the way how the characters are more friendly and happy at least.

And of course it comes with that kick-@$$ Heroes in the Half Shells theme.
Sure it's not the same but it's pretty catchy and cool remake of that track.

Anyway, seeya later I'm going back to see some more Turtles.

I tried to get into the new TMNT...The only thing I like about it is that there are some anime elements in it.

Gargantia, still. Going from strength to strength, though a bit annoyed that I just found out this is a 13-episode series. I'm used to 25-episode ones. And it could easily go to 25 if it was slated for it.

I'm the complete opposite of that. I usually expect an anime be 12-13 episodes, and 25 if they're expected to be good.

I wish more anime could be more lengthy...I think people are a bit biased when they say an anime sucks just because it's over 200 episodes long.

I like 13-26 episode anime but sometimes they feel lacking to me.

Ok, that's true...I stopped watching Shugo Chara because of the filler, it was fun filler but I just wanted to get to the point.

I was a fan of the original Naruto series and I didn't mind the filler...Then again I was just a casual fan.

just watched the GoT season finale.
Spoiler:
as with the general consensus, pretty anti-climactic compared to the last episode.

LOL @ jon snow, though. i kind of felt some secondhand embarrassment for him when he did the "you won't hurt me" speech at ygritte.

Gargantia's been showing that problem of: "Why don't I get 25-26 episodes?!"
Episode 10 is a testament to that. Curious to see how they "wrap" things up within 2-3 episodes.

Hell, even if the plot wraps up in the remainder, I still want more of that world. I stand by what I said earlier, it could easily be a 25-or-26 episode series.

I started watching Gargantia and I think I'm up to episode 7 now. It's alright, but the plot isn't very interesting. It's like something is about to happen, but it never does. I'd like some kind of plot twist to happen soon.

So, started watching Flowers of Evil.

The rotoscoping I was a bit skepticl of before watching having only seen stills, but it works, it really, really works. Fits the tone of the series perfectly.

Seemingly minor problems in the grand scheme of things, bringing about high tension, and some downright creepiness. Very effective.

Also started watching Babylon 5 again, just as good as the first time. (Of course it is, it's Babylon 5.)

Regarding Gargantia, I'd be fine with no plot ever showing up, the world's beautiful and interesting enough to fuel a purely character-driven story. A fine example of that is Lost in Translation, which some people complain that nothing really happens in it. It's very much a character driven piece, and one of my favourite films. Not to say that a plot-driven story can't also give great characters and development of them, such as the aforementioned Babylon 5.

Seriously, watch Babylon 5, you'd be doing yourself a favour.

Rewatching Madoka. God, this series...

Spoiler:
I get so emotionally confused watching this, that's the only way to put it. Obviously it's one of the most heartbreaking anime series ever, but I don't feel sad the same way I do when I see other depressing stuff. I almost want to say it's more like detachment, but at the same time I definitely feel sadness on maybe a deeper level? idk, can't even describe it, it's weird.

On a related note, this is just about the cutest thing I've seen in my entire life.

Weird. I never got sad during that show. Even when Mami died I was like, "Ehh, they'll probably just have Madoka revive her or something". Oh... It never happened. Whatevs. Then Godoka fixed everything and everyone was kinda happy. Then Homura's all alone.

I would say I'm watching the anime version of Another but... can't quite seem to find it, plus get over my slight fear of having to watch the bloody parts in full color and movement. Anyone know where I could watch Another, wihtout having to register on a site?

I've watched enough anime to not expect everything to turn out okay in the end, especially when said series takes a violent tone swing by the third episode and things just keep getting worse from there.

And Homuhomu is never alone, so says the final scene.

That anime is on Crunchyroll I believe. That's where I watched it anyway. ;x

For currently airing animes I'm watching: Attack On Titan, Oreimo 2, Date A Live and Hunter x Hunter

For animes that are not airing anymore I'm watching: Sora No Woto and A Certain Scientific Railgun.

Finished the first season of Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated and it was excellent! I love the original series and the way Mystery Inc. makes fun of it, while being a tribute to it at the same time is just amazing.

Episode 12 of Gargantia, bloody good.

Also started watching Haiyore Nyaruko-San, or Nyarko San: Another Crawling Chaos to give the English title. About Nyarlathotep in the form of a teenage girl in Japan, showing up to protect a guy from aliens. The tone I'd describe as basically Deadpool.
Oh, and it includes the wonderful pun "Cola of Cthulhu" which gets my vote.

Should also mention I'm re-watching one of the greatest TV series ever made: Babylon 5. Just about finished the second sason, bloody amazing writing, and acting, and general television all round.
