I just saw episode 3 of The Returned. Right now there are so many question marks flying around, I can't seem to make sense of what is happening. Every episode more mysteries appear and none are explained. Somehow though, I'm actually enjoying it. The characters are interesting and, overall, the story keeps you hooked.

Just watched the first episode of Attack on Titan finally and....this is....I can't even... :larry:

If there was one show I'd say had so much emotional depth to when it comes to a death scene, in the FIRST EPISODE no less, I'd say this one hit the mark.....pretty hard!

Gargantia, damn good ending, wonder what the OVA'll be...

Spoiler:
Chamber sacrificing himself was quite poignant, he'd been growing along with Ledo, outright surpassing his programming, and now Ledo gets a life where he can actually be happy. Although what sucks is the rest of humanity in the stars will still be following the path leading to everyone weak being exterminated, and needless eternal war with the Hideauze.

Also been watching Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W, bloody hilarious, and really touching at times. Oh, and outright crazy.

It's well worth watching, only discovered it in the past few weeks, didnt take long to finish the first season. Combination of it being 12 episodes, and good fun to watch, wanting to go right on to the next one.

Yeah...Clamp seems to love skinny characters. And even though skinny doesn't always equal attractive to me I can tolerate this.

Besides this anime has some nice fantasy and makes me laugh.

Other than watching a let's play on YouTube, I also happen to be watching the first season of Downton Abbey. It's a pretty good show if I do say so myself.

Finished watching the anime of Another, which was long due because I love Ayatsuji Yukito's work (heck, I've met him, and my thesis is partly on his works). I also happened to finish his novel Ankokukan no Satsujin last night and my opinion on both works is similiar. The horror atmosphere works mostly, as one would expect from Ayatsuji, but the 'main trick'/'twist' at the end was very predictable if one's familiar with Ayatsuji's work. It also doesn't really work well in a visual medium, though I can see they tried hard on it. Also, god, people, communicate! The first half of the series is just 'oh, look, this is mysterious', 'did you see that, don't you want to know what the meaning of that is?', 'what do you think they are hiding', even though practically everyone in the cast actually knows what is happening and they could, and should explain. This is not building up a mysterious atmosphere, this is keeping the protagonist uninformed, with no purpose other than extending running time / book length (and it makes no sense in-universe to do that either!).

(It's even worse with Ankokukan, where the protagonist spends 800 pages coming across mysterious events, with everybody else knowing exactly what is happening and just saying 'We'll explain later' to the protagonist)

Hmm... everything I watch is either over, in between seasons, or is in a mid-season hiatus...

Over:

-Emperor's New School
-Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends
-Di Gi Charat
-Hoshi no Kaabii

In between seasons:

-My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
-Littlest Pet Shop
-Dan Vs.
-The Big Bang Theory

Mid-season hiatus:

-Gravity Falls

So yeah, I'm currently just watching well... nothing. I occasionally watch re-runs of everything I listed above, but I'm not tuning into any new episodes since everything's either over or is in between seasons/on hiatus.

EDIT: Unless of course online videos count, then I'm watching the following:

YouTube:

-GameGrumps
-MrRepzion
-JaclynGlenn
-CraigAA1028

Channel Awesome:

-Anything by Doug Walker
-Nostalgia Chic (though I don't think there's been a new episode in a while)
-Brad Tries
-Infomercialism
-Video Games AWESOME
-Rap Critic
-Todd in the Shadows
-and occasionally other shows where what's being reviewed just sounds interesting to me

Danganronpa The Animation. It looks promising, but it's only like 13 episodes so we'll see how it goes from here.

So I just watched Time of Eve.
It's short, only six episodes long, with most of them being 15 minutes, so it's essentially a feature-length film in one sitting.
The basic premise is that, in the near future where androis are commonly used for everyday purposes and the like, the main character discovers something odd in his house android's movement logs. So, he goes to chek it out and finds a cafe where the house rule is that there's no discrimination between humans and robots.

It's really good, I wish there was more of it, but in the "This is a really good world and really nice characters I want to spend more time with" way, as opposed to a "This is too short" kind of way. The visuals are really gorgeous too, and it makes constant use of Aasimov's three laws of robotics.

So, I give this a Cyberpunk(genre) out of 10. Anyone who likes the genre should definitely check it out.
Anyone else? They should check it out too, it's really good.

Doubt the OVA's gonna give us more story since it looks like it'll be focusing on Ridget when she was younger. Not like that that's a bad thing. Damn it Ledo! Dig up Chamber already!

Aww, and here I was hoping for more Ledo adjusting to his new life, now that he's left everything of his military self behind, and more Amy/Ledo moments dammit!

But yeah, that was indeed a great ending, to a great series.

Here I thought Gargantia was going to have an ambiguous ending. Oh well. I'm glad I took the time to watch it. The character development was just soooo good.

And now, on to Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team

Been meaning to watch this for a while, seeing as how it's about the regular troops in a franchise that usually focuses on the Gundams and their pilots. Only 12 episodes long, so it won't take as long as other Gundam series, but still so far so good.

And to reiterate, watch Time of Eve, it's brilliant.

Ultimate Spider-Man, the 90's series, the 60's series, Spectacular Spider-man, the Sam Raimi movies, or Amazing Spider-Man?

It's freaking hilarious! Why did Shepard's Yu's shirt randomly open during the twirl?

Because badass! :agent-Smith:

Watched the second episode of Watamote, and I dunno about this series. I just don't find it funny so far as many other people. If I had to relate myself to a loner character I'd be closer to Hikiygaya from Oregairu. Never been the type of person that awkwardly tries to make friends. Also, Tomoko's too petanko for my tastes. Hopefully the series gets a little better.

I personally loved that series. The manga's great too. For me, it's mostly because I can relate to Tomoko. I think she's more of a pettanko character only in appearance. It's not that she's insecure about her flat chest, but that she has no friends or social life.

I'm pretty open to anime and I'm pretty easy to please as long as it's not Horror or Magical girl, but damn. I feel so uncomfortable watching Watamote. The awkwardness... I guess that's the charm of the show. For now.
