That's great! I have a friend who I think would love this show, but she doesn't watch much anime and she prefers dubs. Hopefully the show will get one soon! :acro:

My friend doesn't really watch much anime, she's more for cartoons. I only just got her into one anime recently, the comedy 'Sgt. Frog' (which is actually one of the few anime I do think was better dubbed, so I can understand kinda why she'd prefer dubs). That being said, I really like the Japanese voice acting in Watamote, so I should probably get her to watch it. XD

It's very funny and there are many references to pop culture! I think that's why the dub is so popular, it added a lot of American pop culture references in so that the effect of the Japanese original could be felt fully by a Western audience. The voice acting is absolutely brilliant too. I can't watch the sub anymore.

I've mentioned Cowboy Bebop to her. She's a big Nostalgia Critic fan and he likes Cowboy Bebop, so I thought that might make her interested. She hasn't watched it yet, but I'll pester her to see it. :gant: I think she'd like it if she watched it.

Cowboy Bebop is another series with an amazing dub. I thought Hellsing's dub was better than the original Japanese too.

I am not to acostumed to watching anime, I personaly dislike it, usualy. However, there was one which I saw in Spanish (I'm portuguese BTW) when I was 11 and recently watched the dubbed (English) version once again, and I must say, I absolutely loved it, it's Keroro Gunso, or Sgt. Frog, whichever you'd rather.
That was probably the funniest moments with any type of media I ever had. :gant-clap:

My favourite moments was when they literaly bashed and destroyed the fourth wall (I believe this is limited to the dubbed version although I could be wrong). :jazzedgy:

I started watching One Piece, but never finished it. I should definitely keep watching it. It was really cool when I first saw it. I hardly watch any of the major Shounen anime really. I thought Soul Eater also seemed interesting.
I think I read the manga of Haganai, but I prefer anime, so most probably I didn't continue with it. It sounds like the sort of thing my friend and I would like, so I'll check that out.

It seems a popular show with those who perhaps don't usually like anime. As I said, my friend is more into cartoons, but she really loves Sgt. Frog. :will:

Anyone here seen Sword Art Online? It's starting to grow into one of my favorite anime as of now. I really like the general idea of the storyline and how the characters (main and guest characters) interacting with each other as they battle throughout a game that will kill them in real life if they die in the game. It's a really good watch.

Also like it because the main character is voiced by the person who voiced Asbel Lhant in Tales of Graces. :P

I also like Last Exile cause I'm a huge fan of the whole Steampunk genre. Also the dub is really, really good in my opinion.

Which one? Sword Art Online, Last Exile, or Last Exile: Fam Of The Silver Sky? I never saw Fam Of The Silver Sky, but I have the English dub of the original Last Exile on DVD.

Right now I'm revisiting Paranoia Agent, and wow.

If you want a good psychological horror/thriller/satire/mystery (according to Wikipedia's genre listing), go watch it.

13 episodes and totally worth it (The English dub is really good, too). On my 2nd rewatching I find to have a deeper appreciation for it than before. Sooo yeah... Head to Youtube now...

I mostly read manga, I don't watch things too much. But anyway, here's my top four (in no particular order):

1. Fullmetal Alchemist (manga): I. Love. FMA. Do you know how many times that series made me laugh? And that doesn't even give credit to the awesome plot, the loveable characters, and everything else that makes it great. No wonder I read it in less than a year.
2. Bakuman (manga): Don't judge! I really like the characters for this story, and how they all support each other even though they're rivals.
3. Soul Eater (original anime): It was my first anime, and the characters just kept me watching it, all the way through. Not to mention the funny parts...
4. Yotsuba (manga): And then sometimes, you don't need a plot. You just need a little green haired girl enjoying everything and dragging everyone along with her.

I also need to get back into Case Closed/Detective Conan...

I have a hella lot of fav animes, but nothing beats SnK, EVER.

Besides, I only like it because Levi is so hot.

Okay, drop whatever it is you're doing and go read the manga. Now. The anime cut out so much stuff (partly so it could air on TV, I assume) and pretty much stopped right at the point where the manga started getting really good.

On-topic, top three for me are probably Cowboy Bebop (that soundtrack, fantastic ending), Slayers (opening songs too stronk, pretty much the only fantasy anime I've found that actually manages to balance humor with a serious story), and Gurren Lagann (it's...Gurren Lagann.)

Other top contenders include Kill la Kill, Haruhi, Madoka, Panty & Stocking, Code Geass, World God Only Knows, Bubblegum Crisis, WataMote, Utena, Evangelion Rebuild movies...

Ghosthunt-Great mix of solving cases linked with supernatural

Perfect Blue-One of the first anime movies I ever watched and great psychological thriller
