The Brave Little Toaster, all the way. I know it's not exactly 100% Disney, but they did work on it.

I used to watch that movie seriously like, every day as a kid. xD

I count Beauty and the Beast in that too, as most of the characters are anthropomorphized objects :D

Ha, I didn't understand the implications of that movie until I was older. Of course, today I understand fully, and my only reaction is "Dayum...this was rated G?" O_o

Frollo is possibly one of the greatest Disney villians of all time, or at least, the most realistic. :karma:

Frollo's "Hellfire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame - PURE EPIC. And THE best "Villain Song" hands-down, or at least the deepest.

I realize a lot of people confuse certain movies for Disney films... if you want to know who to blame, meet Don Bluth - He actually worked for Disney up until 1979 when he started his own studio, and proceeded to give us classics such as An American Tail, The Land Before Time, Thumbelina, Anastasia, Titan AE... and more recently a... Scissor Sisters music video?!

I don't really care too much for the classics, mostly because I saw most of them when I was little and too young to understand anything. I never understood most of the movies (such as, in the Lion King, why Simba ran away.) I'd have to watch them again for me to like them again.

General
Hercules (OWN)
Fox and the Hound (OWN)
Tarzan
Mulan
Emperor's New Groove
Lion King
Lilo and Stitch (I used to like this one so much; but then people at the L&s forum I do to started treating it [and Stitch] like some sort of Disney god; drove me nuts >< But it's still a good movie, I just don't think it's the best anymore. I actually like the series a lot more.)
Pocahontas
Aladdin
Beauty and the Beast (wanna see this again, so much ><)

Sequels (I'm probaby one of the only people in the world who likes the sequels; I happen to love a lot of them, probably because I don't compare them to the originals, nor do I automacitcly think they're just for money. Keep in mind, these are my opinoins.)
Little Mermaid 2 (Better then the first at times; freakin' obessed with this movie when it came out)
Lady and the Tramp 2 (same as a above)
Lion King 2 (I've seen so many videos on YouTube that have both the first and second, that at times they might as well be the same movie to me.)
101 Dalmations 2 (Thunderbolt and Lightning OWN.)
Fox and the Hound 2 (not better then the first, but you just can't compare the two; they're just too different. The first one get's it's gleam from how dark and epic it is, while the second is through the eyes of them as kids.)
HOND 2 (what I liked about this was that it gave me what I thought Quesi should have gotten in the first; the girl)
The Aladdin sequels (Disney Channel played the third one a lot; Genie's line of "Sand: it's everywhere. Get used to it." Makes it own.)

Really the only sequel I didn't like was Pocahontas 2, though it made a whole lot more sense once I learned it's what actually happened. But you fall in love with her and John Smith, and then they break up? *pout* Mulan 2 was OK, I guess. I didn't like the random singing... but then I remembered they do it in the first one too. >> I've love to see Bambi 2 (it looks so cute.) and Brother Bear 2

Pixar (I do consider this Disney.)
Every Pixar movie is genius, with The Incredibles at the top, and Toy Story on the bottom (Toy Story 2 was so much better >>)

.... Now I wanna watch HOND. Haven't watch that in foreverz.
I draw, see?

Just Pocahantas 2 and Mulan 2?

The worst sequel in my opinion of them all has to be a tie between The Hunchback of Notredame 2 and The Brave little toaster sequels. They suck SO badly.

Hm, my favorites are: (they're not necessarily cartoon movies though)

-Finding Nemo
-Mary Poppins (I used to watch this everyday when I was little. Then I would go around telling people my name was Jane Banks 0_o)
-Mulan
-The Brave Little Toaster
-Cinderella
-The Lion King (it wasn't until 5th grade until 1. I realized it was the basic plot of Hamlet and 2. The Heina's march is basically the Nazi's march...and that scared me)
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame
-The Chronicles of Narnia

Hercules, Tarzan, Treasure Planet and my favorite pixar movie is Ratatouille. ( Everyone seems to dislike this movie, but I think it's really artistic, but I guess the idea of the most unlikely creature becoming a chef turned people off.)

I never get sick of watching Ratatouille over and over again, i don't have the dvd, but every time it's on tv, i would watch it all the way through.

I would say Alice in Wonderland (1951) is my ultimate favorite, though there is one part that i don't like watching, which is when the poor lizard gets shot out of the chimney. I dunno, when i was little, whenever i watch that part, i would always wonder what happened to him.

101 Dalmatians (1961), though i haven't watched it in a while. I also have the book it's based on by Dodie Smith, and I love both versions.

Up, and I especially love the soundtrack. My friends told me i was heartless though because i didn't cry over the intro on Mr. Fredricksen's life. Also, my cousin looks exactly like Russell.

Wreck-it Ralph is the last disney/pixar movie i watched, and i loved it! But i have to say, it's mostly because of Sugar Rush. I love the racers, my favorite is (the lesser known) Citrusella Flugpucker. She's basically a blue/purple recolor of Jubileena Bing Bing. I keep messing up her name though, pronouncing Flugpucker as "Plugf*cker" which sounds weird haha :uramidn:

Repressing most, I don't remember... I liked watching Toy Story 1 and 2 with my mom, but I have yet to watch Toy Story 3. I like how Toy Story basically had stories that grew up with their audience - although I heard the ending part of Toy Story 3 is way too over the top and schmaltzy.

Sadly, several of the movies not created by Disney were amazing and actually better, in my opinion. Especially Prince of Egypt - that thing was amazing, I loved it every time it came on TV!

Now, I love Hunchback - probably because it's the most adult of the Disney kids movies made back then. It had a few references to other movies, the theme was dark (although the ending is shit, the book was supposedly much better and darker) and the songs were great. Although I have to say, I much prefer the songs in french.

I have my suspicions Tinkerbell from Disney's original Peter Pan film may be responsible for increased bitchiness/gossipyness/typical bad female stereotyping in women based on her jealous and mischievous actions in that film that may make an impression on young women.

Ratatouille is a fine film I just think it gets overlooked in Pixar's collection next to giants like Wall-E and Toy Story.

People who say that are just emotionless wrecks who are mad it made them cry. Your point about Toy Story growing with it's audience is correct and that's partly why Toy Story 3 is so powerful, it's an ending a beautiful ending and yeah it's full of sentimentality but in a way we can relate to.

Should check it out.

Watch. Toy Story 3. Now!!! You won't regret it. Toy Story 1 is still my favorite of the three. (It's the funniest.) But Toy Story 3 is second best for me because it kept me on the edge of my seat and nearly made me cry.

I'm a person who doesn't really like crying, but I do have times where I know I have to cry to feel better. So... I guess I don't mind crying....? So....
I actually read up on TVTropes about Toy Story 3, too much information at once so I probably missed out on things. And I watched reviews of it and they all seem to say that the ending... was good, but too schmaltzy. I love how TS actually grew with the audience - TS1 and TS2 were kind of the same. I mean, the favorite toy goes missing and he wants to come back home. That's the large storypoint in TS1 and TS2. Except in TS2, towards the end, when it starts to go more into the direction of the dilemma of your owner getting older and not playing with you anymore...
I'm just gonna flat-out spoil now for TS3....

Spoiler: Toy Story 3's Ending and Schmaltz
Andy about to set out for college and his giving or selling away of toys, throwing broken ones away or leaving them behind, that's great. And then he decides to give his toys to a young girl and he'll know they'll be in good hands.
It's just that he comes with a box and takes each and every one of them out and begins a tiny semi-speech about the toy, how great it is, hands it over and starts that whole thing with the next toy. And he goes incredibly teary at that point and starts acting like he was still a kid.
I admit, though, that bit where he has Woody on his shoulders - that was a great book-end reference to TS1.
It's just... it's too over the top. I would've probably understood it more, if he had given her the box and then hesitate for a while in handing Woody over - Woody was his favorite toy, I think even his longest?
Just a slight stop before he lets go, that would've been a much bigger impact than just dragging on and on about how he's giving all his toys away.
Really, that ending scene looks like the producers are just yelling at us, "You bastard! You gave your toys away when you grew up, didn't you!? Didn't you, you little...!! Isn't this sad!? Aren't you sad that you did that?!"

I admit, I still have two shelves full of cuddly stuffed animals that I just can't give away. Mostly because those were the ones I had the longest, given to me by my mother's best friend or family members. And I'm kind of looking forward to having my kids play and cuddle with them.
Heck, when I feel sick, I still take my stuffed lamb and cuddle it!

A movie I forgot to mention I liked was Emperor's New Groove.
I watched it with my mother and I agree with her opinion on why it's so fun to watch, "it's basically an hour and a half of Saturday Morning Cartoons".

*sigh*

Sometimes I just think you're too cynical to enjoy things at times CM. I definitely wouldn't have looked at TV tropes before I see a film but hey some people like spoilers.

I certainly know my toys and action figures all had little stories and roles assigned to them as a kid. Plus it's not just Andy being 'overly indulgent' in his emotional outpouring. It's him using the moment as a socially acceptable way to play with his toys one last time. He could hardly play with them alone without social reprimanding but playing with a child is fine so he felt less embarrassed by it. Though it'd be pretty cruel to just hand the box over and pause on just Woody, at least Buzz deserves a moment's mention as well.

Though I had a worse experience after TS3.
Feeling nostalgic I went to the garage to see my old toys, found rats or something had eaten great big chunks of them.

Yes indeed, I was confuzzled when Andy didn't hesistate when it came to giving up Buzz...Seeing how at one point he loved Buzz more than Woody.

Oh my! That's terrible. After watching Toy Story 3 for the first time I felt slightly emotionally attached to my stuffed animals on my bed, well even before I watched the movie it breaks my heart to see stuffed animals in bad situations, I should probably know better since in reality stuffed animals are souless, but the sad backstory of the antagonist of the film really hit home for me.

Spoiler: Toy Story 3
It also gave my younger brother more proof that teddy bears may secretly be evil. I actually felt sorry for Lotso, he was so corupted on the inside that he lost all sense of reason.

That part was intense! But during the intense parts of the movie I seriously expected character death, thankfully no character dies in the movie. But I don't think a character death in the movie is such a bad thing since there are ways to show character death in kid family friendly movies without scaring a child for life.

Goof Troop: The Movie

I know that the classics like the Lion King, Little Mermaid etc. are better in the technical aspect and stood the test of time better.

But I just liked this one the best. Maybe because Goofy is dumb and funny (Ideal setup for comedy for a 7 or 8 year old), but the stuff he did so he could be the best father he could be, that moved me deeply when I was a kid.

Holy crap getting all nostalgic about shows and movies having morals and educational values (SUBTLE ones).
Face your emptiness don't be afraid. The danger is often smaller than your fear.

Let's see...

My favorite Disney (well, at least partially made by Disney) movies are:

Spoiler: Very long list inside
Fantasia
Beauty and the Beast
The Lion King (my all time favorite as a kid, and now. I've even seen the Broadway play twice)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Aladdin
Hercules
Mulan
Lion King II (one of the few Disney sequels that didn't suck)
A Bug's Life
Inspector Gadget
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (still one of my favorite Christmas specials)
Remember the Titans
The Emperor's New Groove
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Monster's Inc.
Lilo & Stitch
Treasure Planet
Brother Bear
Brother Bear 2 (another sequel that didn't suck!)
Holes
The Pirates of the Caribbean movies (mostly the fourth one)
Freaky Friday (I thought I just liked it as a kid, but I have to admit, it's still funny now)
The Haunted Mansion
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Meet the Robinsons
Bolt (hate Miley Cyrus with a bloody passion, but this movie was adorable)
Wall E
Ratatouille
Up
Tangled
Toy Story 1 and 3 (hated 2)
Alice in Wonderland (the Tim Burton one)
Wreck-It Ralph

Used to like a few others, like The Aristocats, when I was a kid, but I guess I watched them so much that I trained myself to hate them.
