The Hangover - 9 out of 10:
Loved this movie, it was quite hilarious, and i'd highly recommend it to anyone who liked The wedding Crashers or Old School.

Rachel Getting Married - 2/10: This movie was incredibly boring in my opinion...it was so slow.

I think the plot was really good, but I just feel like they could have done more with it, not really sure why though. The special effects were beautiful, though.

Sorry, I'm horrible at reviewing things. x3

In my opinion, I though it was really good because, most of my family is from New Orleans and they told me alot of stories about Mardi Gras and so they had a lot of theat stuff in the movie, like gumbo and pastries. If you know about that kind of stuff you will probably like this movie. I encourage everyone to see this movie. Gracias! :will:

Not much to say, except that the Coen brothers show once more why they're the directors who understand human nature the best. Go watch it if you still can, but without expecting anything from it, and without talking to people who've seen it beforehand. You'll have a better experience that way.

I am just back from Avatar, I have seen it twice now. I never thought I would rate this high, nor that I would see a movie twice in the cinema. This film definitely deserves a 10 from me. I don't think I have ever seen a better movie. It was just epic, even after seeing it twice. Heck I could go a third time. =P

We watched Girl, interrupted (6,5 - 7 / 10) at school today.

I guess it was okay. Laughed a bit at some points although the movie shouldn't be that funny. One of the things which I did not like was that the storyline was kinda predictable. You just knew that one of the girls was going to kill herself, you just knew that Susanna was going to be "healthy" again because that's how Hollywood is.
I did not like that Borderline syndrome was shown as an "easy heal-able" disease; Talk about it with your therapist, get your medication and ohhh life is beautiful again. That's not how it works in real life. Susanna didn't seem to have any ordinary symptoms for Borderline either, they just didn't made it obvious enough. The movie was more based on the whole crazy friendship between her and the sociopath Lisa anyway. Meh...

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann movie 2, Lagann-hen. 1/10. Awful, awful, awful. It had none of the magic that the second half of the series possessed, it removed the sense that it was a dire struggle, Rossiu was handled terribly, the re-recorded scenes were atrocious, Kittan was mishandled, the final battle was idiotic beyond belief, the background music changes were horrendous, and many of the sound effects were misplaced. The original series is far superior to this garbage.

It's got Robin Williams, who is a very cute actor. It's a very funny and touching film. The ending was just wonderful. I loved the scene with the butterfly.

Not because I'm a super-hard critic or anything, it's mostly just because the first (and only time) I watched it I was too busy cracking jokes and stuff to particularly enjoy it. But from what I actually saw of the visuals, it was stunning.

Sherlock Holmes - 9/10
I wanted to see more Moriarti, but seems they left that as a sequel hook. It was a very good movie though, and Robert Downey Jr. was a much more believable Holmes than I originally thought he'd be. ^^ I enjoyed the movie a lot. Of course, this is coming from someone who hasn't read the original stories/novels/what have you yet, so take that as you will.

Well, since I wrote it to post it on the "Rate Avatar" thread, but then remembered this thread exists, I'll paste it:

Avatar - 9.5/10

Of course, visually excellent, and the plot wasn't that bad. My only problem is the cliché the plot comes from. Everything else is absolutely original, but the strong-exploiting-the-weak thing is unoriginal. I think Cameron and the crew focused on the visuals and creature/environment design, and left the plot on a secondary plane.
As I said, I loved everything but that. It was a very good movie overall.

Sherlock Holmes: 9.5/10 - You know that giant compilation of Sherlock Holmes mysteries that no one checks out? I loved reading it, so I was really excited about this movie... but a bit disheartened by the commercial. It seemed overly "action-packed" and hollywood-like, but I gave it a try and I thought it had a nice balance of action and plot movement. It's pretty shocking to watch this and then go home and watch Iron Man; Robert Downey Jr. was very impressive with his accent.

I said it on the Avatar topic, but I give Avatar an 8.5/10, partly because I'm a big fan of amazing graphics and I was too busy staring at the screen to focus on the plot. I admit, it was a bit predictable ('cept who dies, imo) but I thought it fit and I thought the final battle was really fun to watch.

About the two most (good) recent movies:

Avatar: 9.8/10 I saw it twice, one without 3D and the second time with it. The fact in there is the sensation of depth which the one w¡thout ·D didn't have. The plot is really good and the final battle is really cool. The thing that got those 0.2 points away from a total 10 is the predictable parts, some are really really predictable like:

Spoiler:
the relationship between Neityri and Jake (Sam Worthington, if that's how you write it) which is a very important part of the plot and I kinda knew they'll be together at the point it was determined she would teach him the way of the Na' vy.

Sherlock Holmes: 9.5/10 I just saw it today and I really liked it. Robert Downey Jr. has a far better accent than I thought but still it's not enough but I enjoyed seeing him as Holmes, I though as someone said earlier, it would be a bad action movie but instead it surprised me with a good storyline and when they solved the misteries... cool, I loved Watson (Jude Law) and his new catchy phrase: "Trust me, I'm a doctor" XD (I gotta make a sig out of that) and well, the hook of Moriarty is really good as it IS a part of the novels.
Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

Dragonball evolution 1/10

It was so lame I tried not to point everything that thery got wrong during the movie.

First off I think that the worst screw up in the movie was his outfit He got the outfit from grampa gohan but the outfit had master roshi's symbol on it. also the clothes had blue pants and the torso of it was yellow.

(there might be spoilers yet i dont think that you'd watch it after this)

Spoiler: things they got wrong
Goku didn't have a tail

master roshi didn't have a beard mustache or his red rimmed big shades, also he didn't have a staff or a turtle shell

they called the kamehameha wave the kamey hawmey haw

they made goku do richard simmons poses to do the kamehameha wave

piccolo killed grampa gohan

goku wasn't a kid

goku went to school

chi chi went to school

piccolo didn't have antennae (just bumps)

goku's great ape for was called ozaru and was an eighth of the real great ape size

master roshi had a tiny thin mustache that disappeared half way through the movie

piccolo had some lame side kick asian chick

they pronounced piccolo peekolo

piccolo didnt have his purple outfit

bulma tried to kill goku

yamucha was a total retard

the world martial arts tournament was round with walls

shenron was a fiftieth of his real size

goku was nothing like he was in the manga/anime

there...

Spoiler: people/things that they left out
ulong

kirillin

capsule corp

the ox king

over all they tried to make up for the crappiness with big special effects and many slow-motion sequenses

(without the slow motion the movie would be 20% shorter)

over all it was the crapiest movie since garfield gets real

No wonder it won all those Oscars. This film is seriously good, but if you don't like sad endings, be warned. It has a VERY sad one, though amazingly I did not cry (and I cried in Pocahontas for pity's sake). I recommend it <3

The Lovely Bones : 9/10. Wish they'd be a tad more accurate in the book. But the movie was GOOD.
Dear John : 5/10. Horrid acting, just a bad movie. Overrated.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief : 7/10. Was okay in my book. Plot went too fast for my taste. The actor is like 12, lmao. CANNOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

The Dollmaster
It's a Korean horror flick-but not so great, more of the 'stuff 'em in a house, lock the doors and have some creepy thing kill all off in interesting and disgusting ways' kind of movie.
5/10

The Reader
A very...interesting movie. It gives another side to the women of the SS in WW2, and humanises one in a moving story in a relationship between her and a teenage boy, and the movie follows him as he grows up.

The last movie I saw was -

Attack on the pin up boys (A Korean Movie starring Super Junior)

It was pretty funny so I'd rate it a 4/5
But it was one of the most immature movies that I've ever seen!
It's just basically people getting excited about having poo thrown at them.
But it's funny :)
Mrs Edgeworth! (lol, I wish.)
Even Mrs Kaliver Gavin would be nice!
