I've been sitting here wondering what Animes I like.... And I just realized that The Moomins cartoon is in fact an anime, since it's made in Japan! So I say The Moomins Edgeworth

And I like One Piece too.

Technically the Moomins were a collaboration between Europe and Japan, but since Japan's in there I suppose they count--plus they seem to mostly be famous in Japan and Europe exclusively.

That Groke terrifies the hell out of me though.

I was traumatised by The Moomins when I was little. That and the talking tree in Mothercare. *shudder*
Anime is pretty impossible to find on TV over here, (unless you fancy watching randomly aired episodes at different times on Kids TV channels, all with the worst dubs ever) so if I'm gonna get into a show, I have to either
a) Spend my own weight in cash on DVD's.
b) Get used to spending 2 hours downloading each episode, for it to crash my computer half way through...
So I'm only really into Naruto, but I'll watch odd episodes of other shows when I can see them.

I'm a Studio Ghibli fan and like their stuff, and enjoyed Akira.

As far as Anime series go, besides Pokemon I've only really watched Naruto and Bleach and like them both (subbed FTW). I'm gonna start watching Death Note soon, and then maybe Trigun, Hellsing, FMA, Ghost in the Shell or .Hack. I'm a big fan of multi-episode arcs.

Hmm... my current top three:

Neon Genesis Evangelion

Watched the entire series a few weeks ago (my friends and I had a marathon of it) so I'm still really into it, but it's a really, really good series that deserves all the praise it has recieved. An absolute classic that should be required watching for any sci-fi fan.

Fruits Basket

The first anime I ever watched in Japanese, and again I think it deserves the attention it gets. It's hard to find a series with characters more endearing than Momiji, Shigure and the others... and the spectrum of genres it contains; subtle romance, action, angst, slapstick humor and a sparkle of the supernatural; you can see why almost anyone can love it. But the thing that makes it work the most is how character-driven it is.

Azumanga Daioh

Anyone who knows me knows just how much I absolutely adore this series.
It's wonderful. It's hard to put into words the charm and appeal of an anime that is little more than the day-to-day activities of a group of schoolgirls, but there's something irresitable about Azumanga that draws you in and doesn't let go. There are eight main characters; six girls and their two teachers, plus a few utterly hilarious side characters (Mr Kimura, Chiyo-Chan's Dad, Kaorin...) and after twenty-six episodes I think it's impossible to not have a special place in your heart of each of them. From Osaka struggling to learn the difference between an escaltor and elevator to Nyamo the PE teacher getting drunk and accidentally telling her students about her sexual experiences from her youth, it's how real the characters are that brings the series to life. In every character you can see traits of people within your own life; everybody knows a Sakaki, has a Tomo in their life and has an Osaka side to themselves.
After telling my friends I was learning to drive, one of them said "Even if you manage to get a license, I'm never riding with you." I asked "Why not?" to which he responded "Because you're Yukari". XD

But I think the thing that which makes Azumanga so special and different to other animes is that it doesn't try and follow conventions; there aren't any giant robots or people turning into animals... it just shows and makes you realize that the important things in life that stay with you forever - high school and otherwise - aren't the huge life-altering challenges and changes but the little day-to-day things that you take for granted.

I can't reccomend it highly enough. Larry

T.o.t.a.l.l.y f.o.r.g.o.t how amazing that anime is. Sad that there's only 26 episodes.
I love Ayame and Hatsuharu Godot

I loved Hana and Shigure best. Haru was brilliant, though. And Hitori's emo-backstory episode nearly made me cry. Larry
The anime was good, but the ending was utterly terrible. The manga carries on for a good while after, though, but it gets much darker from where the anime leaves it. It makes the whole Kyo's-other-form-thing look not-angsty.

My favorites?

Azumanga Daioh

This series is so much fun, you just can't get enough of it! Take 8 Women, and 1 perverted teacher, and you get a high school comedy that is pure gold! Tragically, Azumanga Daioh only lasted in 2002. But I have the box set! It's a heartwarming loveable comedy!

The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya

This show is having a second season!!!!! And it's being released internationally next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gundam Wing (eveyone hates this one but me)
Trigun

Oh geez! Can't believe I never noticed this topic before! Well, guess I better start with my list!

Naruto and Bleach (yea, I'm into those nerdy animes! ><)
FMA
Cowboy Bebop (one of the best ever!)
Samurai Champloo
Yu Yu Hakusho
Rave Master (Love the story, wish they would have animated the rest of the manga)
DBZ (doesn't everyone, even though its so overrated?)
Evangelion (save the last couple of episodes, but the movie made up for that)
Death Note (Really good plot)
and theres probably some more, but I can't think of them all right now!
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

Usuta Kyousuke is a comedic god. Although SCGSM is the only anime he's gotten so far, have you ever read Pyuu to Fuku Jaguar? It's his current series, and I think it's even better than Masaru-san was.

Also he just had a oneshot published in Jump last week, Shoulder Tackle Yasuzaki-man.

You can dl it here:

http://teamangelsub.free.fr/Ritual.htm

also the raw manga of Sexy Commando is floating around on #lurk, I believe, along with some of Jaguar.

The only anime fandoms I'm ever active in anymore are Gakuen Heaven, Ouran Host Club, and Trigun

I also liked:
- Hellsing
- Yu Yu Hakusho
- Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuru-chan
- Strawberry Panic
- Tsubasa
- Card captor Sakura
- Samuria Champloo

Oh no, I completely and totally love all things Cromartie. Eiji Nonaka is one of my favorite authors. I think the manga is much better than the anime, though. I just find it interesting that Cromartie's chapters can be read outloud and still be funny; you really don't need the art except in certain cases (like with Freddy, who doesn't talk.)

I also harbor a special love for the live action Cromartie Movie. <3

I've recently become obsessed with Loveless. It's a really good series with good characters, a nice drawing style and good plot.
I'm not sure on my opinon on the central romance being between a 20-something guy and a 12-year-old boy, but it's still good.

The teacher in it looks just like Adrian (only with cat ears), though.

Hokuto and Kamiyama were spot on, indeed~.

Oh man, I was so disappointed that Hayashida with the mohawk wasn't gonna be in the movie, but ah well.
It was still good, nonetheless. Besides, it would've been hard to re-inact that mohawk with a mind of it's own.

Freddie was great, too.

Makes me wonder... is Eiji a "Queen" fan or something? Or did he just like to parody Freddie Mercury?
I never did get what was up with it.. hm..
