Ok so I came across this fan based movie of MGS entitled "Metal Gear Solid, Philanthropy". And I know by the time your reading this text your saying "Fan movies suck!". But that might not be the case considering what I've seen thus far. The team is not expecting profits (let me repeat, this is a none profit production) and they worked for this movie out of their own fandom for the MGS series. So you can imagine they tried their hardest. Plus it looks like they have some really talented tech producers in the team because the effects are pretty good for a low budget production. But the team has kept the story locked tight, but we already know two things. 1. The movie is not based off of none of the games, just the idea. Since Philanthropy is the name of the counter terriost unit that Snake and Otacon formed after the Twin Snakes. 2. (Spoiler alert, yeah right) It deals with a tank that can launch a nuke. Anyway heres the link to the website. I think that the full movie should be released this month. I would post the 2nd trailer (which you really should see) but the code is kinda not meant for a forum like this. Wow, impressive. Given that it's originally an Italian dub, though, our version might be a little stinted... |

Its a small price to pay, but they actually hired fluent speakers to do the translations. Which is good considering they could have just slapped some subtitles in English or translated it in fractured English. I'm really looking forward to it. |
