Kara no Kyoukai or "KnK" is a series of movies based off of the Type-moon novel, Kara no Kyoukai. I think there's seven movies total, I don't know how many has been released in theaters in japan(4 or 5?) but 3 has been released on DVD and subbed by GG-TakaJun.(Even though I got AonE-menclave for the first movie) Summary from ANN, but it doesn't summarize the other two movies.. Quote: A string of suicides is the topic of much speculation of the local media but police are left baffled. However, after Shiki Ryogi's friend Mikiya falls into a coma around the same time, she takes a personal interest in the case. Something more supernatural is to blame, however, the cold and distant Shiki isn't exactly normal herself.

It's my favorite of the works in the Nasuverse and also incredibly pretty. I read the first novel some time ago and never bothered to continue on. I'm pretty glad, because the movies are really done well. Misc fact: my friend's sub group is doing the series, which I'm glad for, because they do damn good work. |

I was wondering WHEN someone would mention Type-Moon here, since I've been a TM junkie for about a year now. Blame Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya for that. =p Still, the Rakkyo movies are a fantastic series of stuff -- I'm doing my best in learning moonspeak as fast as I possibly can, since I intend to buy all the reprints of the novels as soon as I know enough kanji to understand the Nasuese dialect of the japanese language, including the novelization of Tsuki and the Fate/Zero manga and novel. =D |

Awesome double post is awesome. Just finished the third movie, Remaining Sense of Pain (Tsuukaku Zanryuu, 痛覚残留). It was fucking TWISTED. My reaction to it? O_O Just... O_O Can't wait until next episode. =D |
