I've met several in my younger years, nearly all were country singers (thanks to our county fair and Topeka's Railroad Days). The first was the Girls Next Door (the country band, not...) in 1987 (got a photo to prove it), Becky Hobbs, Mel McDaniel, and John Conlee thanks to our fair, and Pam Tillis, Doug Supernaw, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (the're a real great bunch of guys) at the RR days. The non country one was Nascar driver Bobby Allison (after he retired) while he was with one of his son's pit crews at a race at Topeka's Heartland Park.

Comics updated 12/12. Projects updated 9-5. Fanfic updated 11-4. sprite thread 6-2

I met the a cappella group who does the Oreo jingle, a member of which does all the female radio voiceover commercials. They were really awesome. I met Scott Ramsoomair, the creator of VG Cats and nearly had a heart attack. I also met Seth Green. :P

I met Jake Dylenhall (however the hell you spell his name) at work...
Met Tommy Lasorda and Tom Hanks at a Dodger Game... which sucks ass about it is that they lost that day. BUT STILL!!!!

I've met Pete Seeger, and actually got to interview him. Also I've met a bunch of different authors of books that probably not a lot of people have read (it was part of a library thing where they get local authors to come).

None. The closest I've come is at the two concerts I've been to this summer. Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Motorhead, Heaven & Hell, Sixx A.M., and Testament. All of the band members were on megascreens so I got a clear view of them, but I've never met any celebrity in person.

Ehh, I wouldn't say he's famous, but I did meet the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series, LittleKuriboh. He lives in a nearby town. I saw him and Safty on the bus, went to see their local play, Sleeping Beauty, and she invited me to ReCon.

How long have you got? Seriously... an armful of names. A lot from various shows, conventions and gatherings I've attended over the years (you can see or assume from browsing pics from my Flickr uploads) and hence those have not lasted too long, but some people I have had the chance to sit down and chat with for a while. Plenty of people outside the photos too... mostly videogame related.

(and yes, all the Star Wars signatures were obtained in person, most of them back in the late 90s)

The only celebrity that I've met is Keri Kenney (her last name is Kenney-Silver now.) from The State/Reno 911. Of course, I met her a LONG time ago at a Lollapalooza that I was at, way before Reno 911 existed. ^_^;; She was very nice, and I got her autograph.

I've seen Howie Mandell and Seth Green at some conventions.

Walt Flanagan, who was in Clerks, Mallrats, etc. He works at the Jay and Silent Bob Secret Stash comic book shop in Redbank :D

Also, at least in the comic book industry, Adam, Andy and of course, Joe Kubert. Actually Andy is my current teacher. :)

I met Lance Bass when I went to see Hairspray. He was REALLY nice. He was pretty much being mobbed by people on his way to work (he was running late of top of that, I later learned), and he still stopped to sign autographs for my friend and I and have a short chat.

I met several Broadway actors and actresses including Sebastian Arcelus and UK actress Kerry Ellis.

I met a children's book author named Joanne Barkan who'd published over 100 books.

I met some staff members from Viz and Funimation, if that counts, and I may meet Brad Swaile and Veronica Taylor in a few weeks.

I really haven't met too many uber famous people. I've met a couple of authors and professors that have had their works published, but nothing on grand scale. My mom met Elvis when she was five. He was running away from rabid fan girls and he stepped on her. He picked up very quickly and told her sorry and then ran off again.

I met Cuba Gooding, Jr. He was in a movie that was filmed in my hometown. (Radio, just so you know.)

I almost met George Clooney. He was filming another movie here. (Leatherheads, if anyone has seen it.)

Also, the lady who won the Legally Blonde reality show to be on Broadway is from here.
