Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. I was waiting unto the boards were fixed so I could post this.
Has anyone heard of this anime/manga series?

"The series is about a demon, Neuro Nōgami, who feeds on mysteries, and has come to the human world after eating all the mysteries in his. But as a demon, he cannot act overtly. The first thing he does is force a high school girl to become a detective, while Neuro acts as her assistant. While it appeared to be a mystery series early on, the author has described it as "a straight forward entertainment book wearing the skin of a mystery."

Its very interesting and funny and I recommend it to people here because its about mysteries and stuff sorta like how AA is about that...sorta in a way.

just going off of the OP i was going to post and say it looked generic and annoying, but i like the promise of these mysteries. maybe i'll give it a watch sometime.

I actually thought the same when I first saw the OP. But I was bored and it was either that or gurren lagann. I started watching and was hooked by the 2nd episode.

I haven't watched the anime, but I've read the manga.

At first I thought it might turn out to be a supernatural version of Detective Conan, and it kind of is. It's somewhat dull and episodical at first, but it gets better from the HAL arc on.

IMO, the Kaitou X arcs are kind of the equivalent of the Black Organization arcs. Arcs that help drive the plot, but they're thrown in the middle of a bunch of (almost) irrelevant stories.

I started watching this series last week, and after watching most of it, i decided to go and read the manga.
I sat and read up to ch 143 in 4 days

I just finished watching the end of the anime yesterday and I thought it was great. Sure the anime can't compare to the manga, but it was good in it's own way. Plus I love it whenever Neuro torchers poor Yako.

Yes despite how much he torchers her, I have a fondness for Neuro x Yako. Doubt it'll ever happen though.

Because nothing says true love like setting your girl's hair on fire.
