When I first watched it, I was surprised to see Tseng alive, cause VII made it sound like he died.

JENOVAroth stabbed him in the Temple of the Ancients. You see it in a flashback and come across his corpse as well, if I recall correctly.

Why were you expecting Heidegger to make an appearence

Hmm are you like not a fan of the games but you watched the film? Generally with something like FF I'd expect a movie to be watched mostly by the fans but sure theres a weird fanbase but meh thats the beauty of freedom of opinion.

I like most of the games. Can't say I like it as a series overall. However, almost all FF-fans I've met regard FF as their bible. If you say anything bad about it, they'll do NASTY things with you.

Whichever fan decided Sephiroth was supposed to be liked should be shot. The entire point of the game is that you're supposed to hate him with a deep, burning passion. And I do. A lot.

Well, I don't hate him with a deep burining passion, I just don't like him. Sometimes he's kinda silly, too. I lol'd at some scenes that was supposed to be serious. "Move away! I'm here to see my mother!!" Not to mention his "comeback" in AC.

Admittedly he wasn't that bad...I hate Cloud more than Sephiroth. After I played Crisis Core you got to see Sephiroth before he went nuts when he was just a SOLDIER and he was cool a good guy even so I kinda gained a little respect for him after that. And it's also kinda hard to hate him for killing the most hated character in the game for me....as they say the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Meh, I wasn't too fond of the movie at all. Well it was entertaining, but it just wasn't quite like what the game had. They dragged on a story that was already done and just made more confusing than before. I did like how they made the characters just like before, Minus the fact that Cloud is now really emo and Vincent is well..... uncaring.... pretty much. I mean, it's like their personalities did a complete swap. Or something. And why the fuck is Cait Sith riding Red XIII?

Heh heh I actually found the second link kinda funny, most carameldansen tributes are just the same dance moves over and over and it's RRRAAARRRGGHHH!! worthy but this one ain't so bad and at 1:24 has a Phoenix Wright tribute with Genesis. Still you get fanworks like this in anything.

I'm not denying that FF fans go nuts at times but stuff like that is common in anything worth having a fandom. You'll probably find plenty stuff for Phoenix Wright thats equally odd just look at the hordes of slavering Edgey fangirls, it's just that FF is such a big fanbase that it's just got more crazy folks than most fanbases out there. It'd be like America if fanbases were comparable to countries.

Isn't Tseng supposed to be dead? I guess it was an okay movie. Great graphics. Barret looked cool. Vincent was pretty cool as well. But they kinda made Reno look like a joke. Or was it Rude? I don't remember. And they made Cait Sith was... useless. (He didn't even have his mog suit.) I guess he wasn't that powerful in the game. (I never use him in FF7) And the main villian was kinda lame too. He was such a winer. Or is that just my memory? I don't know. And I don't get the end of the Cloud/Sephiroth battle. What happened. And once again, Tseng's alive? What? But it was okay. I guess it's because I was a big fan of FF7, although I'm not one of those over obsesive fanboys.

"Dilly dally shilly shally" Cause she was so annoying to me, get her for one disk, get her ultimate weapon for all of 20-30 minutes before she runs off and gets killed, didn't like the pairing, plus she forces you to go to some stupid temple with only her and Cait Sith for your back up. Ugh plus I dislike magic so much, I'm much more of a physical character. When Cloud was comatose I was like "YES YES YEEEESSSS!!!" as it let me take my ultimate physical party of Cid Vincent and Barret. And Rude and Reno were like comic relief in the film but...I'm not that bothered about it...they were pretty funny in the game, I couldn't take them seriously after finding them getting wasted in a pub in Wutai.

Mr. I can survive a giant laser beam fired from this ultimate monster pointed directly at me with the intent to kill. I liked how he was about to explain how he survived that and Cloud just interrupts him mid sentence with "No" for absolutely no reason.

Heidegger is not good-looking enough for them to bring back. ;-) That's my theory anyway. Think about it.. all the characters who were supposedly dead but come back in some form or other have some kind of fangirl base. Too bad about Scarlet though, as an epic bitch slap-off between her and Tifa in high-def CG would be pretty hilarious. XD

It also doesn't help that the Temple of the Ancients shrinks into the black materia. I don't remember seeing anyone help him out or seeing his corpse. I'd like to think that if the whole stabbing thing didn't kill him, that would.
