Jesus, you people are far behind. I been following Batman R.I.P. for a while now. Besides, with a title like Batman R.I.P., it's not liked this was unexpected. If this isn't a hoax, and he is really dead- They will probably just go the Captain America route by having his place being taken up by his sidekick (Most likely Jason Todd or Dick Grayson
) or possibly Hush. Besides, DC has been killing off heroes for a while

Someone told me this is not canon in the actual universe (probably in one of the 62+ Earths instead) because Barbara Gordon is walking perfectly fine as the new Commissioner.

...That had me confused but I hadn't read Batman in a while before I picked up Batman R.I.P., I just assumed something happened and Barbara could stand up again.......hey, they used it in X-Men to Charles Xavier tons of times.

Pfft, he won't stay dead. DC are too chicken shit to keep one of their staple characters dead. Doomsday killed Superman in the 90's and Superman didn't stay dead for more than a month. Not to mention, the Justice League's already lost Martian Manhunter. D:

My thoughts exactly. They won't end anyone permanantly because they just kill someone off for the shock factor or to keep it fresh, then later they'll revive him/her/it because status quo = good and also = stable stream of money...

...What age Superman was it....I think it was the Golden age Superman came into the present age and proceded to go insane and kill trillions of people and super heroes. (The Trillions from the people on our earth and going through a few planets cores to blow them up). They didn't come back. Batman aint coming back Which is exactly...They will make yet another Batman Universe with Wayne still alive.
