So who else is looking forward to Spider-Man 3? I'm so uber stoked, I've lost complete control of myself, I can't concentrate on anything without also thinking about how awesome the movie is going to be! I'm also looking forward to the Wii game just as much. (perhaps even more then the film) Sal

Strangely enough, I'm more interested in seeing this than the Pirates of the Caribbean movie coming out. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

Of course I need to by the Wii-version of the game too.

I dunno. Some people seem a little scared that the plot will be overly complicated. Three villains? How are we supposed to keep track?

As I said in another topic, while I do want to see the movie, I'm not getting my hopes up. Mostly because Venom is being used by Raimi, who outright hates the character, and who said he would never be in his movies because of it. That alone casts doubt that Venom will be used well in the movie, though I could be wrong. It's mostly a wait-and-see moment now.

Technically four, if you count the whole symbiote-taking-over thing a "villain-like" situation. Or five if you count Bruce Campbell. Hobohodo

But yes, it does seem rather complicated for a single movie. Part of that stems from there being too many villains, though having to also wrap up the loose ends from the first two movies also crowds things further.

I don't think the three villains thing will be that big of a deal. Venom will probably not show up until 3/4 of the movie minimum, and the Sandman probably doesn't have that much depth to get into, other than being a powerhouse villain.

It's really more three villains then four, I wouldn't count the black suit itself as a villain. And don't worry about plotlines, accoriding to IGN, they do a good job with it:

Saw it. Loved it. Will buy it and every other Spider-Man movie on DVD. I was able to keep track of the plot lines very well, actually. You don't need to know a whole lot about Sandman or Venom. The movie mainly revolves around Peter, Harry, and Mary-Jane.

Spoiler: MEGA SPOILER OF DOOM! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
The last part of the movie where Harry and Peter team up was boss! Sandman was also cool. Godot

Yeah, I just came back from it. It was AWESOME! Everyone who thinks that it seems messy because the number of villains; don't worry, it's easy to keep track ;)

Spoiler:
I also liked the team battle at the end.

EDIT: Gah! Messed up the spoiler XD Ah well, fix'd now

Anyways, I just saw it last night, and I LOVED it. Also got the Wii game, which is good, but not great. I really wish I had a 360 so I could play that version, which looks 20 times better.

I'm off to go see Spiderman 3 tommorow with my mates. I don't really mind how good it is, as long as my Tango Ice Blast doesn't melt in 2 minutes and I don't put my foot in my popcorn again...
Anyway, if I actually see any of it in between everyone throwing popcorn at me, as usually happens, I'll give my opinion tommorow.

Ha ha! The scene where he had to take his pills cracked me up.

Spoiler: Peter Parker spoilers
Pete's emo/jerk hybrid was cool as well. Cool in a "jerkish" kind of way. When he lobbed Harry's bomb back at him I was like "DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN! That's raw!

And, seriously, I was able to keep track of what happened in the movie because there were so many villains.

Just saw it. I liked it, but not as much as the first two. And there was just way too much going on with all the subplots and such, imo. But

Worst of the three Spider-Man movies, though maybe that's not saying much? Cinematography was a bit disjointed, what with the multiple story arcs - the direction and writing wasn't very serious, we get horrendous dialog at pivotal plot points.

Personally I wanted to see more of Venom. While he did provide some orgasms for the special effects crowd, the utter awesomeness that is Venom wasn't done justice. All a bit too trite.

Quite frankly, it defintely would've been cooler that way, rather than two fight scenes with the black suit actually on.

To be honest they could never do the Black Suit justice unless they somehow crammed Secret Wars into a 2 hour movie beforehand; also if they were going to pull a Venom they should have phased Brock into the second movie so that his sudden hatred of Peter isn't 'y halo 2 hour movie.'

I still think they should have done the Lizard. I mean they even introduced Dr. Connors in #2; that's too much of a tease. =/

I saw it last saturday and was kinda disappointed, it was to me not nearly as entertaining as the previous Spideys. There was just too much to be told in the time and in the end, it didn't work.

And I hate the designs for the symbiot suit >.> No webbing pattern, big white spider please.

Doctor Connors was in the second movie? When?

I completely forgot about the lizard, actually. I'd rather him than Venom.

EDIT: Oh, I remember now. He was the teacher. He was also in the third movie; the guy who analyzes the symbiote, if I recall.

OK, I saw it today. Unfortunately I'm not in much of a review position, because I spent most of it having popcorn lobbed at me, avoiding spilling my drink down my top and begging my mates for Nacho's which turned out to be horrible, but that's a different story.
Anyway, having not seen the first two movies I spent the first half hour asking evreryone 'Who's that?', but once I got who was who it turned out to be an alright movie. Emo Spiderman didn't get nearly enough time though...
And I didn't get what the point of the Sandman was. It just made me sing 'Sandman' in my head for the whole movie.
And the bus didn't turn up afterwards, so we were all stranded at the Tesco Bus stop for an hour, until we could get a ride home. So, my review of the York bus service? It's shit.
