I like Excel Saga, to be honest I much prefer the Manga, as slow as it is being released but surely. My favorite characters? It has to be the three men, Iwata, Watanabe and Sumiyoshi. Though I generally love all the character, both big hitters like Excel and minor repeat characters like That Captain\Major\General guy who runs that Hotel, I never know if he was ever given a name.
I am surprised by the amount of fanservice it gets away while not going 'too far' (if you excluse possible
Aww, if I was smart and all that I would love to make some PW Excel Saga sprites but eh, I'm lazy.

And it only stops short of "going too far" (fanservice-wise) if you exclude Episode 26, "Going Too Far".

Sure, it isn't meant to be taken seriously. It's just random hijinks. It's good for when you don't feel like commiting to a long-running, more serious anime (or other show).

Sorry, though I liked the anime, it does suck toejam compared to the manga... though if one is to be overly picky and snooty, read the anime? wot!? but I'm nice so, nevermind. *here should be a silly face to force home the light-hearted vibe this comment should be giving thus setting the mood or 'tone' to avoid confusion*
Maybe should start a Puni Puni Poemi thread too, actully nope. On Nabeshin, self-insertion is bad, get a friend to do it for you! It is much better...
