Pretty much every chapter is left on a cliffhanger.... just so those Japanese kids will buy the new chapter when its released. Its all for the money.

Uhm. What?

It's published in a magazine. It's not like they say "Here you go, once FMA chapter for only 1000 yen"

Post subject:  Re: Fullmetal Alchemist

I know that. You'd be pretty much getting ripped off if they just sold it by the chapter. I guess I just worded that wrong! >_<

What magazine is FMA published on?

EDIT because I was being stupid: Not sure. Shonen something.

Post subject:  Re: Fullmetal Alchemist

... No. It's published in the manga magazine (aka, more than FMA in it) Shonen Gangan.

Although most of the stuff its running aside are video game spin-off mangas.

I didn't know FMA was in a magazine O_O I thought it was so popular it didn't need to be in one anymore....wait, if its famous then it would be in one, or more XD
Brilliant series though, never got bored yet!

I hate most of the anime cast.

The manga cast had enough subtle differences that were handled and executed enough that I can like. The only big difference is Envy when it comes down to it.

Manga Envy > Greed II > Greed I > Everybody else >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lust >>>>>>>>>>> Anime Envy

The movie sucked big time, they rushed it, what would you expect..

The anime heh I give it a 7 or so, the second season just started to falter, but Rewrite was good I would say.

I love manga Sloth. He's adorable.
...I was weirded out by the way that the anime changed Lust's personality completely from the manga... and pretty much everything about the homunculi was changed, as well.

In my opinion the anime and movie were... bad. >.< Really, the manga is so much better. I liked the cliffhanger that they left. Can't wait for chapter 73.

Anyways, my favorite character is Roy. Scar and Greed are pretty cool too. :godot:

I saw that video. He was being a complete ass, I'd be VERY flattered if someone took my characters and made a porn out of it, it just shows that they liked it that much. :yogi:

*nods*
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who saw it.
It's not just the fact that he is anti yaoi. I DO NOT CARE how much of a "nice guy" he probably is..

He still made himself out to be an ass and made it seem like he OWNED the freaking character.
And is so full of himself. Heard he even claimed he was a better voice actor then the japanese one. Bah. I'm not a Roy/Ed fan at all, but god damn it, you do NOT treat the fans like they don't know anything about a fandom. And you do not think of yourself as superior. -_-

If I ever see him in a con, I swear to you that I will turn the other way and never look back.

I don't plan on getting kicked out of a con if I punch him in the face. I don't plan to "show him" anything. I will just avoid him like the plague. He has enough fanboys and fangirls as it is that give him asspats and tell him how great he is. D=

Who said it was about yaoi? (him being anti-yaoi just happened to be mentined is all.) *blink* I was only talking about how Ed's english voice actor is over-rated as fuck And I don't like him. I recall it being a bit on topic, considering it is a FMA cast's VA.

After a few of the later manga chapters, I'm not a fan of Roy/Hawkeye either to be honest. Not in the fandom community-sense, but rather, the fact that I prefer their relationship as platonic.

I'd like to think that male/female close friendships don't always end in babymakinsex.

I just know this fact.

In the next few chapters some one important will die.

Other then that, I think Arakawa should have killed off Havoc, I mean, why keep him alive when he's just going to rot in forgotten character land, like anime Toji in Evangelion.

I love FMA; it's so cool. I don't really collect the manga cause i can't seem to find it anywhere but i've downloaded several chapters off the internet and i have one volume of the anime. To be honest, the manga is a lot better cause it's the original thing while the anime, while still quite good, stears off the destined path that Hiromu Arakawa -sensei wanted.

I heard that another manga is by Arakawa-sensei is being adapted into an anime. I hope that they don't do the same thing like with FMA... :blondie:

Yeah. I heard that she was watching over the production of the anime or something like that to make sure it didn't vent too far off from how the characters and what not were supposed to be. But then again, I ain't too sure.

I LOVE the FMA manga. But, I suppose I'm one of the very few manga fans who actually likes the anime.

I do agree the anime went really crazy plot-wise and the characters were changed and that the manga is definitely better, but I'll still watch it. For whatever reason.

I suppose my ability to ignore certain things comes into play. I've always been the type to like things most people hate...

What I meant was that she wanted a different end for the anime so it doesn't turn out just like the manga's ending.
