<3 Trigun.

Still one of the best anime ever. An AMAZING quality dub (I loooove the dub, honestly I think it's better in terms of acting and the tech work (like adding background conversations and stuff) than the original Japanese). Awesome characters. Nifty music.

I really liked this series. I never read the manga, it confused and baffled me. I did buy the anime series though. Stellar work.

Ah, Trigun. It was the first anime I watched all the way through, first the sub, then also the first anime that I bought the DVDs for.

I've been trying to read the manga, recently. I read the two Trigun volumes and the first three volumes of Trigun Maximum and I'm still entertained. I need to start catching up on it, though.

I've been a Trigun fan for a long time now, and have the entire anime series as a boxset.

Oh gawd, episode 13 of this series was win.

I remember Trigun, mostly from the fact that up until last year, [adult swim] kept airing the series constantly for several years. I liked it, much moreso than the manga, and the dub had some great VA work.

Trigun's one of my favorites, too. The manga's awfully screwy (picked up Maximum 12 at Acen this year. Anyone know if it's still going?) but the anime is great. The dub's pretty good, but watching it makes me miss Wolfwood's accent. Sho Hayami speaking kansai = luv.

I've still got the first volume of Trigun on videotape! I watched the dub version, and agree that it was well done.

I started reading the manga, but can't remember where I left off on it any more.

At Anime Expo, I often see Trigun cosplayers carry around boxes of donuts!

The manga actually just ended this year at 102 chapters but the final chapters have yet to be released in a volume. 12 is the most recent release.

I just started watching Trigun, and I gotta say, it's great. All the characters are great, and the only person I don't like so far is Meryl. It's a really nice anime, and I enjoy it.

This man is pure win. And the dub was awesome. (Johnny Young Bosch = <3)
In fact, have any of you ever seen Bosch's band, Eyeshine? I've seen them in concert twice. :edgy: Pretty good music.

Anyway, Trigun was a really wonderful show... I thought it had such an awesome story. And there endless amounts of fun quotes. I love when Vash was singing "The Genocide Song!" It was so cheerful.

...And Kuroneko. :shoe: Nyaa.

I watched the first 4 minutes of what I think what was the first episode, Vash or whatever he's called looked and acted like a right proper twat, so I switched over to Lazytown.

Can't I love them both? Or they can love each other, and I'll watch... *Shot* But seriously. I loves me some Trigun. The soundtrack really rocks my socks (Tsuneo Imahori FTW) and the story was just something else...
Spoiler: The End of Trigun
It sucked that Vash had to kill Legato. It tore him up that he had to violate his principles, but it was really his only choice. That's why it was so awesome when Vash, unlike many emo anti-heroes, realized that his "ticket to the future is always blank." He forgave himself and set out to make amends, and I think saving his brother was really the best way to do it.

Plus: WOOOOOOLFWOOOOOOD! WHY?! T_T

PS: By the way, if you like Trigun, I recommend the manga Immortal Rain (AKA Meteor Methuselah in Japan), which in the beginning has a very similar premise and plenty of interesting characters.

I didn't like this series. The story got worse once they started showing the GHGs(I hated Legato so much), and for a Madhouse anime, the animation quality differed from awesome(the first episode) to god-awful. I didn't like Vash much, either. Agreeing with Gears, he was too much of a twat.

YES. The dub was purely awesome! *wants the manga* *has a few Vash shirts* :3

:keiko:: It's on-average watching percentages from humanoid poster number 21B5a was of 47.6 percent action, 36.9 percent of a fully-achieved desideratum humorist (human hilarity) experience, 14.5 percent of one's humanoid feelings of sentimentalism, and lastly--exactly 1 percent Kuro-neko appearances that equaled pure humanitarian joy for this subject's pleasure center in particular. One-hundred percent has been fully achieved by the Trigun program. Furthermore, one would have to assume that the Trigun's English articulations simulcast has achieved success in at least two study subjects; and quite possibly many, many more.

o.o Errr, I liked Legato. Wolfwood, Vash, Legato, Maryl, then Milly were in my list of favorites. x3

Have you noticed that lately, we're seeing more and more characters similar to Vash? What I mean is that they're all strong and really docile because they like humans/people or something, or that they're strong and don't know it, but're still all "Love and Peace" kinda guys? (Like Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood... he reminded me of Vash. xP)

Trigun was the first one out of only two anime series I ever managed to buy all of. I've seen plenty more in completion, yes, but the only ones I have sitting on my videoshelves are Trigun and Gundam Wing (shut up). Heh.

I think I'll watch it when I go home. It's so fun.

This anime, I wind up recommending to everyone who wants to get into anime, but are unsure where to start. Mostly because this series is awesome (and I'm actually quite picky when it comes to what I watch.. there's a LOT of crap out there right now circulating).

Like a lot of decent anime series, I've noticed that it doesn't really pick up and get amazingly awesome until halfway through the series.. so you really have to give it a chance.

I was considering going as Meryl to Otakon one year, but decided against it, heh. She's one of the very few female characters in anime that I actually LIKE. MOST of them I hate with a passion (and no clue why I like her, either, since she shares many qualities of other female characters that make me despise them! ..maybe because her dopiness is sort of an innocent child-like one, as opposed to a "DURR I'm a blonde chick")

I liked the anime a lot, but I adored the manga. Am I the only one who over-analyses it? I remember reading volume 3 and 4 and just rambling about cinematic some panels were. Volume 7 was absolutely beautiful, just the dialogue between
Spoiler: omg
Vash and Rem (and Vash's 'I never would have known that when you cry, Rem, you look just like you're laughing')
was perfect.

The art is immensely detailed and can be a bit confusing in some panels but it somehow suits the series. Sometimes, the people end up looking out of proportion though. I love the fact that even the bare land is detailed despite the story being set in a desert planet. It's gruesome, funny at the most unexpected times and it takes extremely sad turns. Each character is separate from the other.

My only problem is probably volume 10 where action drove the entire volume. There was no room for any breather and I actually felt tired after reading it.

This was probably the first anime that deeply emotionally impacted me and helped shape and solidify a lot of my own views on life...

I'm a pacifist...
I'm pro-life...
I came to believe that the end does not justify the means...

It affected me in a lot of very important ways... I'm glad that the series isn't too serious for the first half, because that just gives you time to fall in love with the characters before you find out all of the extremely powerful storyline.

Trigun♥
A true classic.
Saw this back in 2002 actually...and I have a Vash plushie to boot. Also vol. 2 of Trigun Maximum.
Legato is my favorite villain *3* followed by Midvalley. lol.
And the scene Doylie mentioned earlier is so cute, the SD face and the noise and yeah xD

And I often find myself singing that "Genocide" song, word for word six years after the fact. And people still stare at me as if I have three heads. xD

Spoiler:
Wolfwood's death made me cryyyyy ;-;

But I haven't been to that particular mall in some time due to moving.
And the mall I go to on occasion doesn't have Trigun shirts in their Hot Topic anymore... :sadshoe:
