I know Back to the Future is kind of an old movie, but it was one of my all time favorites. What did you all think of it?

I freaking love Back To The Future! Michael J. Fox was so adorable in his role as Marty. I heard they have a convention for the movie every year. Although, I've yet to go.

The BTTF trilogy is part of my childhood. I would always watch all three movies when I was at my grandparents house. I still regularly watch them all on DVD. I have to see each one at least once each weekend. Haven't missed a weekend in years, since I got the DVD set. My mom always tells me how she watched BTTF in theaters when she was pregnant with me. I find it to be a lol.

I adore the trilogy. Most people say they like part II more than part III, but I actually like part III more than part II.

Didn't Michael J Fox announce some months ago that there was talk about possibly planning a fourth installment, in which he'd be the new Doc?

Or did I dream that.... :yogi:

I heard they were talking about making a fourth one not too long after the third came out but for some reason, they didn't.

I believe the reason they didn't was because they knew time was up. Each Movie sold progressively worse. A fourth wouldn't generate too much profit. Besides, maybe they just said "let's NOT have 100 sequels." Which I think is for the better. Loads of sequels to popular movies were getting kind of common.

Best. Trilogy. Ever.

When I was young, I loved the second movie because of the pizza part. I thought that was awesome.

I thought it was because they thought that III seemed like the end of the franchise.

Well, seeing as how it's been 17 years or so since the last, I think it would make a lot of profit. I don't think they should do a fourth, though. They should just let it be a classic trilogy.

I know videos mostly belong in BBC...but I can't resist given the relevance of it:

Its like Pirates of the Caribbean, the first one is a classic and very funny, two and three were not needed.

I mean, BttF 2 and 3 are terrible movies, neither were Pirates 2 and 3, but the original is still the best of the bunch and was originally created to be a stand alone movie. Another odd fun fact, the second and third movies were filmed in at the same time for both those movie series >.>

It's been some time since I've seen the whole trilogy, but I see the first and second movie from time to time on TV. I'll probably have to find the DVDs if I want to see them back-to-back again, though. I'm sure my old VHS copies have eroded from age and excessive viewings.

I don't remember which one was my favorite. Probably the second, with the realistically-futuristic future... or was that the first one? :yogi:

Don't even try to compare BttF to the Pirate movies. Pirates 2 & 3 took every little joke and every little insignifigant piece of dust from the first film, and gave them some kind of mega role. Examples: The glass eye and the dog with the key(Whose return is just another reused joke). Pirates was obviously never meant to be a trilogy, so they tried way too hard to tie in everything from Pirates 1.Sure, Bttf wasn't intended to be a trilogy either, but BttF 2 & 3 were well written. Each movie was original, they explained things nicely, and they are overall enjoyable movies.

I could go on for paragraphs about the last two Pirate movies, but I'll spare you of that. I will however say this: don't get me totally wrong, I actually find Pirates 2 to be an ok film, I just think they shouldn't have bothered tying it in with the first film(especially since it's done so poorly). Pirates 3, however...

I liked the first and third "Back to the Future" movies. I liked the locomotive Doc uses as a time machine in the third movie. That's cool in my books! :)
