Lovers of Key (especially the KyoAni versions) come here! AIR just finished being released on DVD, Kanon is coming out on January 1, and CLANNAD is in the middle of fansubbing. Best time to start a thread, I think. :pearl:

I'll be honest.

Kyoto Animation's Key works are giant guilty pleasures for me, especially considering the source material is downright awful. The forced moe nature of Kanon bugged me at times and I am glad to see that Clannad isn't as in-your-face with it.

Speaking of Clannad, I'm following it as well. I'm glad that they got uguu~-clone girl the hell out of the way early on, because the show has improved gigantically with her gone. They seem to be hinting at some "she's coming back near the end" shit like they did with Makoto in Kanon, however.

... I like Kotomi.

Hey, I adore the in-your-face moe. It's one of the reasons that Kanon is one of my favourite series ever. And before you ask, I don't even like women. It's just cute and endearing.

I love them. Haha, yeah the artstyle is like too ...eh, overwhelming... But putting that aside the stories themselves are good.

But from what I seen so far, Clannad is downright the best out of the three. Kyoto handled it very well balancing their random humor antics with the drama in the plot. Tomoya is certainly more interesting than the other male protagonists, and the supporting characters are actually worth time seeing now; Nagisa's parents are downright amusing for example. Also, the girls don't seem so clone-esque; Fuko has more personality than all of the other girls combined however. (CAPSLOCK_STARFISH ANYONE? JOIN? PLEASE?)

For a minute, I thought this was a KyoAni thread. No one says KeyAni.

Anyways, I loved Kanon (2k6) and I'm currently watching CLANNAD. I haven't seen AIR yet but plan to soon.

Some people say KeyAni. XD I got it from a few other people, anyway. I think there are already Haruhi, Lucky Star and Full Metal Panic threads, anyway... What else did KyoAni do?

Definitely see AIR, it just came out in its entirety (plus the movie version by Toei, which kinda sucked in comparison but is pretty on its own).
