It's one of those rare moments when I come upon a genuinely interesting manga and fall in love with it right away. This is no ordinary manga about cuisine arts. It's cuisine arts taken to the highest level and beyond to whatever the fork is going on with that food.

Granted, some of the beginning chapters may feel pretty mundane (aside from certain scenes that I suggest people to use discretion with), but as you move along and get introduced to the main cast, they really grow on you. Even the action behind the so-called "food wars" is pretty intense, reminiscent to those classic shows of Iron Chef, if you're a fan of that.

I have considered bringing up this topic before, but never really got around to it. Then, I came upon this one page, and I decided I had to share it with everyone here. I love you, Tsukuda Yuuto. You never fail to impress.

All in all, it IS a shonen manga in the traditional sense (except instead of actual battle, it's cooking), so if that isn't quite your cup of tea, I can understand. Still, give it a try and you may like it a lot more than you'd think.

Had totally forgotten about this title! I had it written down somewhere as a candidate for a review...

I'm quite a fan of cooking manga actually. I recommend Iron Wok Jan! for some really crazy action cooking.

(And I must... leave this here. A cooking manga-style game. With all the budget gone to the voice actors)

I-I'm crying tears of joy. I should have found this game sooner. I've seen quite a few cooking action movies, and their plots are pretty much the same when you skim over details, but I've enjoyed every one because of the over-the-top acting and beautiful cooking displays. ^q^

I've always been a fan of cooking competitions ever since I've seen some episodes of one on FengHuang TV a few years ago. It's been a while since I've kept up with it though, ever since we changed TV companies, and sadly, I don't remember what it was called. The chefs were amazing, though, and each one basically represented a different province in China. They even had competitions themed on specialties local to where the competition was held, and they were always exploring various regions.

...And now I'm hungry, so I'm gonna get something to eat. Later.
