I just think it's a pretty sweet, funny movie with amazing visuals and great songs that's a laugh to watch at Halloween/Christmas. Overhyped, maybe, but it's still very good in my opinion. I wish I could see it in 3D, apparently it was very well done.

You're both extremely wrong. It's from 1993, and it was made to be a children's movie. I have the videotape (!) of it. It was never made for goth kids, but they started getting attached to it a few years ago and ruined it. It's such a good movie, too, and people can't watch it without thinking of the retarded Hot Topic kiddies these days.
Goddammit, fuck them. They ruined an amazing movie. :/
