The left eye is one of the Millennium Items. It enables the owner to see faced-down cards (CHEATING!!!) and capture souls. That's how he imprisoned Mokoba's soul & Kaiba tried to free Mokoba's soul (the reason why I like Kaiba - he cares a lot about Mokoba and did everything to save Mokoba).... but, he got his soul trapped as well after the duel with Pegasus. Yugi's grandpa's soul also got imprisoned the same way as Mokoba's~ In other words, he acted pompous and arrogant not because he wanted to. It's because he just wanted Mokoba back. Do you understand now?!?!? |
