D: The sad yet funny thing about this is that I used to watch the show on Cartoon Network during summer mornings and watched the 4Kids movie. So I actualy get alot of the jokes that someone who never watched the show get. XD I cant believe I thought it was cool. I started Naruto Abridged which I guess is the next best thing although its not nearly as good, even thouh I am only on Episode 2. |

Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series is absolutely brilliant. I think one of my favorite jokes was the Neon Genesis Evangelion theme song spoof in episode 10. Heh, reminds me of Gary's "I mustn't run away. I mustn't run away. I mustn't run away!" in The Other Abridged Movie. The only other abridged series I really like is Naruto: The Abridged Series. Phoenix Wright parody in episode 8 FTW. |

@ff3girl: :D Glad you like it! It was my first attempt ever too. Glad to see it's doing damage to people's corneas! I loved the Eva references as well. In fact, I'll still watch episode 10 a lot if just for the intro. I thought it spoofed Eva perfectly, especially with all the flash by spoilers! |

XD I didn't find that hilarious, maybe because I dislike Borat. That's why I didn't like the 19th episode that much. I got to thank Dullahan for introducing me to the Abrdged Series. I'm hooked now. I watched the Christmas special today and although it isn't the right season, I found it really amusing. I love the series and my favorite episode is Busted Rhymes, where the heroes meet the guards who tryes to rhyme in whatever they say. That episode made me laugh more than anything has ever made. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll have another episode to watch. |

I really enjoy the series. Though Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged is more of my favorite since the guy voices sounds almost exactly like the originals. I love the newest movie when the kid said he doesn't like to play card games and everyone reacts. |

The Abridged series... I was a serious fan of YGO, when it aired on KidsWB. Loved it to pieces - the subtitled original and the manga series are both considerably better than the blasted dub. It's still absolutely absurd, but it's better in subtitles. Lost all interest in the new series, though... Anyway, now and again I get somewhat offended watching the Abridged Series, but usually I find it funny. Particularly The Movie - I never saw that in theaters, but TVTropes recommended it. Hilarious. |

Oooh yeah, can't wait to see how LittleKuriboh handles that blasted pierced possessed guy... I did not like him... Although I started hating the things 4kids did to the show as soon as I was first aware of them(what is the point of removing English writing?), there are two things that I think they did right. Yes, I still have Yu-Jyo, a site that focused on the differences between sub and dub, in my bookmarks folder.... This is one. From the episode with the boulder punch- Honda(Tristain) was angry. They cut this. I can see why.  The other is from a filler arc much, much later...   I can't imagine what more LK could do to those parts. They mock themselves. |

Well I would think they cut out some scenes for the minutes they add by adding up their OWN scenes and the long US commercials breaks. But right, kinda pointless. (and by discovery of that site: yeesh even though it is true that a lot of real Japanese signs have crazy Engrish but wtf Yugioh writers?) |

...Hmm, the hotlinked images worked fine when I first posted them, but not any more. Odd. 4kids is just a bad dubber. Not worth getting upset about anymore, I think. Like shouting at your shoes because the damn things have started leaking when it rains, and no amount of duct tape fixes that. *cough* I love the triple layers of ridiculous in the Abridged Series - a show that is already a Guilty Pleasure(Card games determine the fate of the world! The protag's hair is as anime as it gets! He grows two feet without anyone noticing! Etc!), made more absurd by the dub(Random snippage of plot, scenes, etc! "Death" becomes "Sent to the Shadow Realm"! Ugly voices!), made even more absurd by making an Affectionate Parody that involves pointing these things out and mocking them relentlessly. I'll confess. I used to be part of a YGO forum. Someone once typoed, asking for "pics of Vampire Lord(one of the cards) in the shower" instead of "the show". Poor kid was mocked so soundly he never showed up again... ... Also, TVTropes and Idioms is awesome. This is what the article on Anime Hair says about PW: Quote: Phoenix Wright possesses what could be classified as "hedgehog hair", with spikes that protrude behind his head. His wannabe double, Furio Tigre, has similar spikes on his head. (The red skin kinda gives him away, too.) Lampshaded in the second game, where Max Galactica dubs Phoenix "porcupine-head". * The Anime Hair hardly ends there, either. Pearl has a big pretzel on the top of her head. Ron DeLite has a pair of cinnamon buns on the side of his head that sproing outward when he's upset (which is often). Detective Luke Atmey's hair looks like he shaved his head, broke a plate, took the biggest piece, spray-painted it bright yellow, and glued it to his head. I originally wrote this series off as stupid. But after watching it I couldn't believe how good the writing and voice work were. Its one of my fav. interest thingys now. I just wish he would make more...LOTS MORE!!! |

(A bit off-topic) They allow dying in their TMNT series, or some form of it. Yet they do not allow dying in anime. I just noticed this, and it really got me dissapointed. Oh and to Ken's comment-Did you really think that was the actual series in English?! O_o |

^On this topic you know that the Bugs Bunny show had: -Slavery -Smoking -Gambling -Drinking -Violence -Gay themes (When he's going around kissing other guys >>) -Nazi paraphernalia -Theft -Swears (Im not sure but, I think they said stuff that wouldn't be allowed now a days) And its was STILL one of the most popular kids shows. |

That's because cartoons started dying in the 90's. Sure, there were dozens of good ones earlier on, but eventually they all died and craptoons took over. |
