I just got back from seeing that. Around 4/5ths of the way in I could only possibly describe it as "depressing". It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. It was just .... depressing.

Then the final few scenes of the movie come in, try to wrap it up with some bullshit conclusion, and it goes from "Well, that was depressing" to a solid "Fuck you".

The moment the woman and her kid (or whatever that was) came in, it just fucking blew. Also, why the hell did Will Smith charge in with a grenade, kamikaze style at the zombiepires? If that little hole that mom-and-son went into could somehow save them from the grenade blast, why didn't Will just toss the grenade and get in with them? It would have had the exact same effect, only, uh, he lives.


What a waste of money.

I saw the movie...not my cup of tea. Lots of screaming and yelling.

And did the kid say anything or did he just follow them along? I don't understand...but maybe it's better that way.

After watching it, I realized how much they screwed up it by the new ending. The older ending was much better. It kept true to the book- which had a good moral and a ending that was happy and not Bulls**t happy.

Overall, it would have been better if he rapped. Fresh Prince was awesome, why? Because he rapped. Men in Black was awesome, why? Because he rapped. Wild Wild West was...alright. You get the idea. It would have totally ruined the movie but it would be worth it.

I didn't like it very much. I saw it with a bunch of friends and we were making fun of it the whole time...yeah i freaked when sam Died...Sam was the best part of the movie!

I watched it, and I liked both endings (probably the old one better), but this confused me on a rather trivial matter. On the Latin lady's like, "...a boy named Ethan..." instead of 'my son'. And he doesn't look Hispanic, so is it her son, or just a random kid she rescued? *confusion*

Anyway, I'll get brick'd and say I liked the movie. I had NO idea what I was going to watch when I went into the theater, and I can say that I enjoyed it. :godot: I am planning on reading the book...when I'm done with my damn summer reading.

I pretty much agree with everyone else. I enjoyed it until the last fifteen minutes.

To be quite honest, I would have seriously enjoyed an ending that didn't stay true to the book like the rest of the movie and just have him die in that car crash. To be honest, that would have really struck me as an awesome ending.


But hey, all this talk of the ending is only increasing its publicity, so, good for Willy...
