I really want to see it. It's got Johnny Depp, it's by Tim Burton, and it's a musical. The music is great, too, from what I've heard. It's supposed to be gory and everything, though, and I'm not a big fan of that (Heck, House makes me queasy sometimes) but it would still be worth it. Would anyone recommend it? |

Yes, I would definitely recommend it especially for Depp and Burton. It's already been nominated for a bunch of awards too if I'm not mistaken. |

I got the soundtrack. It's pretty uninteresting. Turned me off from seeing the movie. |

I actually don't care for gore either, but it's totally worth the 'squeamishness'. I put it in apostrophes because the blood is incredibly fake, so it's not too bad. |

My parents FORCED me to watch it X( I'm scarred now. The blood and gore were fine, they looked fake anyway, but the Spoiler: It gave me nightmares  And it was kinda creepy when he started singing a sort of love song to Johanna while chopping off people's heads and putting them into pies... |

I'm already a Burton Whore, and a Depp whore, but, I loved this more more than anything. I've heard a few of the original Broadway songs, and each version has its own reasons to be amazing. But, I hate the Movie vs. Broadway fist fight going on. -___- |

Don't even get me started on that one. After hearing what horrors Gerard Butler did to Michael Crawford's original work, I was expecting Sweeney Todd to grate on my nerves, but it didn't. I was surprised. I loved the movie. |

It's not even airing in my country! And I hoped they'd air it with decent subtitle... I've gotten my hands on the movie, but without subtitles I missed most of the lyrics. English isn't my first language, and my English listening skill isn't that good to hear lyrics in a musical. >.< From what I watched it's quite awesome though. So it's originally Broadway? I didn't know... |

its not that good, the music is so repetitive and kinda boring. the story is quite epic though I got a really high expectation for this...  just IMO |

^I've watched the movie, but without any subtitles I probably lost 30-50% of the movie. dvd... I might wait for one :) but... I don't think it's a story I'd want to watch more than once XD; maybe I'll rent it. |
