Who here watches Monty Python's Flying Circus? I always loved that show's surreal randomness. I especially loved those cartoons.

I would love to watch MPFC, but sadly I don't know of any station still showing it. I guess I'll have to buy the DVDs or something. Although I am familiar with the popular sketches, e.g. the dead parrot, the Spanish Inquisition, etc.

I would be a horrible person if I did not glue myself to the PBS channel on the nights they show it.

After seeing Holy Grail in 6th grade social studies class (and being the ONLY student who loved it and/or even got the jokes), I made sure to see the Flying Circus stuff. Was happy to find out that Flying Circus was even better. Also later watched Meaning of Life and Life of Brian and just about fell over laughing.

I know that everyone knows the dead parrot sketch and lumberjack song and spanish inquisition and things like that, but I really love the smaller ones too. The deja vu sketch, the secret mouse club bit, one to do with identifying dinosaurs, all that. And of course the animated segments. Those are just wonderful. <3

They're all available on YouTube, if you're searching.
My favourite sketch is the Argument Clinic. Wonderful.

I expected it in this topic. Deja Vu is probably one of my favorite sketches. I love that strange song they play over and over in that sketch as well.

Like with most Python fans I started with Holy Grail and used it as a gateway to a wonderful world of surealist comedy.

And, I've never looked back since.

Ministry of Silly Walks = WIN.

God, I love Flying Circus...
Pairings: Miego, FeenRis, EdgeyFran, KlavEma, CloTi, Zerith, Vincrecia.
Just a note, all: I haven't been on in a while, so I'm trying to get my little persona here back in order. I won't be on as much in the future, maybe a few times a week. Sorry!

Monty Python's Flying Circus is one of the best comedies in the history of ever.

My favorite skit is Woody and Tinny (though it was originally spelled Tiny) words.

"INTERCOUUUUURSE."
"Later, dear."

We joke about Apollo Justice's hair because of the one skit they did on how to speak ant.

:odoroki: ANTENNAE.

The problem with Monty Python, and also a lot of other comedy books or films, is that people like reciting them over and over again. Like "42", it isn't funny after two times, and just makes you look like an idiot.

New Python fan here. Bought Monty Python and the Holy Grail on DVD...and boom, I'm an instant fan.

I have a DVD from Flying Circus, but it contains only Terry Jones' 'personal best' sketches. But it has the Lumberjack song and Spanish Inquisition on there, albeit not the complete Spanish Inquisition sketch...;_;

Also, my dad was a fan LONG before I was and kept it a secret from me until I brought home the DVD of Holy Grail! Another startling revelation from my father (kinda like that Pantera thing I found out on New Year's Eve. Don't ask.).

Fortunately, I can generally ignore the urge when it pops up.

Although I do have a dead parrot smiley laying around somewhere.

I hate it when people do that, but yet I can't resist doing it myself. Does that mean I'm crazy?!
