I'd remove them if I was allowed to :P But anyway, topic is moved.

On topic, I do enjoy Blackadder, especially Blackadder 2 and Blackadder goes forth. I love the one where they all get drunk, and Edmund sings a song about a little goblin :D

Ah, this must be the thread for everyone who thought that the Renaissance was just something that happened to other people...

Blackadder rocks, I too picked up the complete set some years ago and will pop it in my DVD player from time to time.

I pretty much agree with the popular opinions on the show, in which while the first series was okay. But series two, three and four were some of the funniest things to ever come out of the UK.

It's a shame that the proposed fifth series never got off the ground, in which Blackadder would be the manager of a 1960's British Invasion era rock band. (According to Writer/Co-Creator Richard Curtis, that series was going to have a gag in which Baldrick would be the one behind JFK's death, accidentally of course.)

I haven't seen any of the first series, but series 2,3 and 4 are brilliant.

The episodes that are most memorable are, the second series episode 'Money' and the last episode of the fourth series.

Hell yeah! Black Adder is a really great show! I liked the second series the best for all it's dark humour. The third season was superb, fourth was great, but the first series was good, but nowhere near as good as the later episodes.

I love Blackadder. Absolute classic. I haven't watched the first series though (oh dear). I remember Lord Flashheart made laugh so hard that I actually had tears in my eyes.

Spoiler: for Blackadder Goes Forth
The ending for Blackadder Goes Forth was one of the saddest things I ever saw.

I've been meaning to rent this, it's been in my Netflix queue for a while. I've also been meaning to rent "A Bit of Fry & Laurie." Is it any good?

A Bit of Fry & Laurie is one of my favourite television shows of all time. Series 2 and 3 were the greatest. It really does depend on your sense of humour though because there will be jokes that some people will find dry or unfunny. There's a lot of wordplay especially. I've got all the episodes because I'm a freak. :x

The show was good, but the later comics, particually after they tried to give them super-powers? Scary...
The comics never existed, ok? The comics never existed!

Cool..I think after I rent BA, I'll rent this. Netflix has it as well (yay). I just viewed clips of both shows today on Youtube, and both seem really funny.

This will be my first time seeing Hugh Laurie as a comedic actor (I had no idea he was originally from overseas, nor that he was a part of a comedic show). The clip I saw was his son and him were at school in the principle's office, and they started talking about Sex Ed.
