Do you like any shows that were canceled? It seems every good show gets cancelled before it should.

Here are some of my favorite canceled gems:

Freaks and Geeks
Arrested Development(nothing will EVER match its awesomeness.)
The Class

You do know Futurama is getting a few more episodes on Comedy Central, right?

Also, I love Titus. It was a brilliant show and I wish it was still around. There's also...

The Clerks: Animated Series
Greg the Bunny

And a few others that were animated.

Yeah, but as far as I know as for now, it'll be the Futurama movies split up into episodes, with some new content to make it more episodic...so technically it isn't a real revival per se (ala family guy)...but here's hoping they do more after they air all the movies, and here's hoping it doesn't pull a Family Guy and suck after coming back.

After the show called "Greg the Bunny" got canned, Greg went back to his home on IFC for 2 more seasons and 3rd is believed to be in the works. It's not exactly the same but it's still great.

Darkwing Duck
Duckula
Freakazoid
Mystery Science theater 3000 (Thank god Rifftrax still keeps the show's spirit living on)
Speed Racer X (I agree with Jenna. I liked the original Speed Racer, but Speed Racer X WASN'T the one with cheesy voice scting)
Ducktales
Transformers (The original, not the crappy 2000's Anime stuff.)

Those are just some off the top of my head. I can think of LOADS more.

I forgot a couple in my last post...

Masters of the Universe (The 2000 remake. It was a great serious take on the series and it got shut down before they even got to Hordak, who is one of the biggest baddies in the MOTU universe...c'mon guys, seriously. It was great, and I hope someday it'll get picked up again.)
Batman Beyond (I liked that series a lot more than I probably should. It was very good for being a spin off of the Batman Animated Series.)
Gargoyles (not counting the "Goliath Chronicles" because a lot of the Gargoyles guys didn't work on it. This was a great series that I still enjoy even now. It had so many levels....it was the last great animated Disney show in my book.)

Not exactly. The anime (though not the manga, which did manage to get an ending) was cancelled pretty suddenly, when they were in the middle of an arc. It ends with them charging into the bad guy's fortress, it suddenly being announced that that's how the series ends, and all the characters freaking out. You can see the last third of the final episode for yourself here. I really wouldn't consider it to be a finale. It ended that way because it got suddenly cancelled, which was at least partially because (I am not making this up) the Japanese PTA complained about it being too violent.

Wait, what? Yu Yu Hakusho didn't get cancelled. Sure, it ended, but it didn't get cancelled, the author CHOSE to end it, probably after realizing how the final arc was pretty weak compared to the rest of the series.

Scrubs. Cancelled, just showing "new" pre-recorded episodes.
Pairings: Miego, FeenRis, EdgeyFran, KlavEma, CloTi, Zerith, Vincrecia.
Just a note, all: I haven't been on in a while, so I'm trying to get my little persona here back in order. I won't be on as much in the future, maybe a few times a week. Sorry!

I'd go for:

Star Trek (original series)

Star Trek: Enterpise

Stargate SG-1 (although there are two films in the pipeline, I'd prefer more TV episodes)

Super Mario Bros. cartoons

No, I know what Bobobo is. I've not heard that Japanese PTA thing before (though I do know that Crayon Shin-chan got a shitload of complaints), but I was fairly sure that it ended that way on purpose, so-as to parody other BAD ENDs (Shaman King'd?).

Along with that let's see.. Already mentioned:
Invader Zim
original Transformers
Tru Calling
Freakazoid

also..
Downtown (An awesome animated series that lasted only one season)
Delta State (?? Is this one still going? There were rumors of a second season, but haven't caught wind of ANYTHING :sadshoe: )

I'm quite sure it was cancelled. I'm guessing they just tried to go out on an ending as random as the show was, but it wasn't by choice.

The manga fared considerably better in terms of resolution. It completed the Shadow Chrome Dome Empire arc (which the anime was in the middle of when it was cancelled) and then had one more arc after that. Then the author started up "Shinsetsu Bo-BoBo" which took place a year after the end of the series and featured many of the same characters, but it wasn't as popular and, like Shaman King, the author basically got told that he had a certain amount of chapters to finish it. Although it was a bit rushed, at least he did manage to reach a definite ending for the series.

Unsolved Mysteries- After Rob died, it was all over. Even though reruns managed to update posthumously (2006 Jesse James Hollywood), the show wasn't the same for me. But I still love it. And can't believe Lifetime pulled it! DAMN THEM! I hear it's gonna be on Spike TV, and they are making a new series. Can anyone confirm this?

Sailor Moon- I wasn't sure what to think of the ending, even though everybody survived, the whole nude Sailor concept wasn't enough for the US, so they never brought it over.

Family Matters- URKEL! The space episode wasn't even supposed to be the last episode but...Jo Marie Payton quit, Michelle died, and they were supposed to have the wedding of Steve and Laura. They havent even released it on DVD yet!

Both Lou Albano (Mario) and Danny Wells (Luigi) are in or reached their 70's and are likely retired, so they couldn't do the Live segments or the voices for their namesake characters. Plus, Harvey Atkin (King Koopa) is working on Law and Order, so the odd of him ever doing King Koopa again is very low. Plus, with the advancement of techology (*cough*Internet*cough*), Nintendo can't get away with what they could about 20 years. And the of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 was pretty unpopluar in comparison and only really got fans because of the original series. Not to mention a mess they made with several translation problems.

If you really want them, Super Mario Brothers Super Show (2 sets) and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 (complete set) are both out on DVD and are pretty cheap at $20 a pop.

Yeah, it's not canceled, just on hiatus. They might not finish this season though :/ Which sucks, it being the FINAL SEASON and all.

To echo the sentiments of people:

Invader Zim
MST3k
The Tick
Freakazoid

To begin some of my own:

Dilbert - the animated series. It was hilarious, and had an awesome opening song. I have the DVDs, though, so eh.
The Big O - when I heard that there wouldn't be more seasons after the second I was so pissed >_> Not enough demand my ass.

...I might think of more.
