I've seen all of them except The 7th one, 'new nightmare'.
There's a place we go to that sells all sorts of movies and has the whole NOES collection.
Has anyone else seen it?
Oh, and my favorite one is 'Freddy's dead.'.

Freddy's Dead is...your favorite? You chose the least scary and one of the worst in the series as your favorite? I'm curious, what did you find redeeming for FD? I thought the only redeeming factor was the extensive (albeit changed) back story they gave Fred. Other than that...meh.


New Nightmare is great. It's a more cerebral nightmare, and takes place in the "real world." It stars Heather from the first Nightmare as herself. It's somewhat a precursor to the "Scream" trilogy in some aspects. I suggest you watch it, when you can. Many alumni from the original Nightmare (and the sequels) either star or make cameos in the movie.

Freddy's Dead had pretty cool/funny kills (The Video game one, for example.) , so it's kind of like 'Jason takes Manhattan' or 'Jason X' (As in, Pretty stupid but still fun to watch because of the killings.)

Overall 'The Dream Master' is my favorite out of all of them.

I only liked the gaming death...the Power Glove comment cracks me up every time. The other kills were pretty lame...the deaf guy and John's...and Freddy on a broom being the wicked witch...too corny.


Watching Alien alumni Yaphet Kotto kick Fred's ass was cool though, as well as the montage at the end.


I got a soft spot of Jason takes Manhattan, despite it's wackiness. JX wasn't too bad either.
