The thing about this series is that people either love it or hate it, and the same goes for Donna.

Anyways, I really liked last night's episode. I have to give the writer credit for managing to work in a gigantic shape-shifting bee into a story about Agatha Christie and a murder.

She's the only one who doesn't fancy the Doctor... And she's hilarious. Especially when the Doctor is working out who the Vespiform is.

There've been tons of assistants who never fancied the doctor. It's only a recent thing. She's still a complete and total dumbass, incredibly whiny, and for god's sake Doc, if she says "oh my gawd i hate you let me go home (;A;)" don't try to convince her to stay. You almost were free, by god...

I agree with Holy Hell. Donna's incredibly annoying - she doesn't really have anything 'amusing' things about her and her 'dynamics' with the Doctor are infuriating - such as the recurring line (as jokes need to be funny) that they are married.

Even though it isn't finished, things don't look good for Series 4. It looks like the worst of the 'new' series so far~ ... The Unicorn and the Wasp wasn't bad though ;P

For one, yes, the next two episodes are by Moffat.

And two, you're going to be very happy when you click this link.

I think Catherine Tate is brilliant this seiries.
Last episode was a bit dissapointing, I thought. And more Moffat can't be a bad thing.
As for the bees thing, I only noticed it once. And I didn't even make the link to "The Unicorn and the Wasp". I'm so bad at noticing this stuff. :larry:

New trailer tonight.
This is the only good thing about Eurovision delaying Doctor Who - we get a badazz new trailer.
also, I've heard rumours that
Spoiler:
Davros
will be appearing in the trailer, hiding in the shadows, so we don't see him - but we see a bit of him. Or... whatever. :gant:

Trailer's on YouTube and the BBC site for anyone wanting to see it.

I find it interesting that a good portion is dedicated to the finale (there's a decent amount for Silence/Forest, but only like two clips of what I assume is Midnight) but there isn't a single shot of (spoilers for anyone who doesn't know)

Spoiler: Returning characters
Martha, Jack, Sarah Jane, Jackie (well, there's someone who sort of looks like her, but I'm pretty certain it's not her), or Harriet Jones.

Spoiler: Different spoiler
There's something that could be Davros near the end, but it might just be one of the special Daleks rumored to appear this year.

It's pretty much one-third running around in the library, one-third Rose looking tough, and one-third random action shots. All with a monologue about the darkness coming laid over the top.

Post subject:  Re: DR.WHO NEW SERIES

I think by not showing the top of this dalek, they are heavily suggesting that it is Davros, and knowing how many doctor who fans want him in, I'd assume that it will be him or he will at least appear. I for one was very dissapointed when the Dalek leader in the first leader was revealed as the "Dalek emperor" and not Davros, but we shall see.
here's alink to the trailer if yu haven't seen it.

I love Doctor Who, a lot. But the newest series isn't as great as the last ones. Almost all of the "one episode" characters (that means ones with names; not just random ones) end up dead. It's a bit gay, frankly.

Also, Donna is my least favorite companion yet... But I still like her. Eh, she might be better than Astrid if you include her.

Rose > Martha > Donna.

End of~

That's been happening since the retro series anyway.

(I Give a feeling of self worth to anyone who has watched an old episode of Dr. Who JUST to see the Tardis before the shape-shifter device broke BTW. YOU ARE NO ALONE.)

I have to agree though that this series isn't as brill as the last 3.

We need a new Doc, spice things up a bit. And fortunatly it looks like we're gonna get one next series. (I VOTE JAMES NESBITT)

EDIT! IF DARVROS APPEARS I WILL WEEP FOR SHEER JOY.

Don't be an idiot, Occy. Tennent is the sex and he's perfect for the Doctor.

...I said this about Eccleston, too, though. Still, I want to keep Tennent as long as possible.

I never said the fellow scotsman wasn't awesome. I love him as an actor, he's brill in the role, but everyone has to move on some time. And it seems pretty likely this is his last series. I've been hearing it a lot of places recently.

The next doc will be just as brill. And the personality change will spice it up.

new episode-new comment. To be honest I don't know what to think about this one as I couldn't hear most of the dialogue due to having to turn the volume down, that said it seemed pretty good, as with most doubles before the double-finale there is likely to be a link between the two, but who knows.

Post subject:  Re: DR.WHO NEW SERIES

Personally, I thought that the last episode was a bit lame to be honest (although not as lame as the ELO episode, though). I missed much of the dialogue though so I'll try to cach the repeat on BBC 3 later on today.

I'm so glad that Russel is leaving and Moffat's replacing him. We might get more than 3 good epsiodes each series that way.

*crosses fingers* C'mon, keep Donna dead.

This episode... I'm liking it because, well, it's another Mofatt 'Children's Fear' episode. However, this one should've been 'Doctor-lite'. Blink > This tripe. The only Mofatt episode I don't think anything good for. Except he killed Donna ^_^

oh by the way, in the last episode one of the main characters will be killed. (I think I read it in the radio times a while back) seeing as how the doctor won't die it's going to be Donna, Rose or Martha.

If that's true, I can imagine it being Martha. Donna's too comical relief-y too die, and Rose has already "died" before so they wouldn't.

Or they may pull a Rose again saying they "died" or whatever.

Rose was good, but reeeeeeeally overrated.
But Rose fanboys hate me for my views. They send me hate mail every day and I am always awake, just in case any of them try to murder me in the night.

is next episode the 2nd last one? if so it doesn't seem to have the polish of previous ones, but we shall see. Tonight's episode was quite strange as Donna was hardly used for laughs at all, but i was pleased with the conclusion. By the way the last episode's title is very spoiler-ific so hasn't been released yet.

No, next episode is the 4th-last.

Spoiler: Episode order
Next week is Midnight, which is stand-alone, then Turn Left, which is half-standalone-half-finale (a la Utopia), then episode 12 which has the unknown title, then the very last ep, Journey's End.

Oh, forgot to say, tonight's ep was fantastic. Props to Moffat for wrapping up the story so nicely (though I can't say as much about part one still...)

Turn Left is also the Doctor-lite episode, involving only

Rose and Donna
and some more characters, I assume.
