Just looking at that promo picture alone makes it seem like they're actually trying to make this its own show in its own right. I can dig that.

Also, they live next to a bear family. Cool.

Wow, I can't believe they're going forward with it. I notice few things about the picture like the family on the right likely to be british but nothing really that eye-catching. However, The Bear Family is kinda awesome. :think-think-think:

Perhaps I'll be a little more into it when preview clips come out. I just hope the little boy isn't going to be voiced by Chris Rock. That would just take the appeal of the show away from me. :yuusaku:

It looks to me like the writers are one-trick ponies. But I suppose everything deserves a fair shake.

I have to agree with Miss Ami on this one. I can picture what most of the cast is going to act like:

Cleveland: Always Cleveland.
Cleveland's Wife: Just like Lois.
Cleveland's Daughter: A little like Meg, but much more self-confident and arrogant.
Cleveland's eldest son: Exactly like Peter Griffin.
Cleveland's youngest son: Exactly the same as Stewie Griffin.
Bear Family: A mix between Brian, Joe, and Joe's wife.

The guys in the window:

The Father: Arrogant, selfish, highly self-confident and thinks he's much better than Cleveland.
The mother: Shightly kinder than her husband, but still a little pompous, especially when around her husband.
The daughter: Very reserved and introverted, kinda like if Meg Griffin was in the center of a spectrum. Cleveland's daughter would be on one side and this girl would be the same distance on the opposing side.
The son: Similar to Chris, but with hints of Tom Tucker's son blended into his personality.

NOTE: This is just an educated guess based merely on appearances and the stereotypes of most spinoff shows like this.

EDIT: The theme tune confirms the fact that they are turning Family Guy into the same kind of sitcom as "All in the Family" was back in the '70s. Creating several spinoffs of the same content and quality. What's next, Peter Griffin buys the Drunken Clam in the next spinoff, "Peter Griffin's Place"? That would mean it would also include a spinoff of Lois's sister's life called "Carol", then a completely different sitcom with just the Griffin's house with a new family in it, and finally a spinoff where Meg gets her own sitcom.

I might get some flack for saying this, but I have no expectations for this show. The Cleveland Show looks like the continuation of Seth's flourishing career in derivative animation comedy.I'm not too fond of Family Guy, American Dad or Seth MacFarlane's brand of "comedy". Family Guy is one of those shows that you either love or hate, there's no in-between. I used to watch Family Guy a lot back in 2003, but I got tired of it sometime during the revival. I saw a few episodes, and I just couldn't laugh at them. I have the season 1+2 set, but I haven't so much as looked at it in a year. American Dad is more or less Family Guy 2.0 with "edgy" socio-political commentary. (The now cliché Bush bashing and negative remarks about Republicans. How creative.) I tried giving it a chance but, there's no denying it: it's the same damn show.

I just noticed that bear family.

This might be interesting. Who doesn't like bears?
(I'm kind of not joking)

Agreed.

I think I was just skip this one and await for Heroes season 3 instead.
