*Strone was making his way toward the lobby when he felt his arm being held, he turned to face her, staring into her eyes.*
"No...tell me, I wish to know about them"

Strone leaned on the wall near by, they were the only two in earshot, Strone looked at her, nodded confirming she could tell him her dreams.

"They're all based on reality," Jeremiah started. "I...Last night's dream, I...It was about what happened just before I escaped. I was...In a cage, like everyone else that wasn't a part of their group. I saw myself as a group of people were killed right in front of me. Some of the blood even splattered on my face. What I saw...I was so used to that happening by then, I just...I looked so indifferent about the whole thing. Like I was just...Blank. Shutting it all out. Then, one of the bandits came to my cage and said, "It's your time, Miss." And he turned the key in the door. I had no clue what he meant..." She gulped.

Strone studied Jeremiah's face as she told her dream and past. He closed his eyes for a second, in thought. He opened his eyes as she finished the story.

"hmm, it makes sense..."

Strone straightened up.

"Its understandable to have such dreams of horrific things of the past or fears. You can never forget what had happened and still even now, your afraid of what happened, at least I think you are even if you feel your not. Your scared of it happening again, scared of the memory itself, thinking, what could you have done to change things, what if something else happened..."

Strone took a moment to gather his thoughts.

"You just have to remember, its the past, and you are who you are today because of it, your a kind hearted woman, nice and caring wanting the best for people and to do whats right, don't ever change that about you Jeremiah, its something most men and women lack these days. What you have is"

Strone lifted his right arm and pointed at her chest.

"A heart, you have a heart and as sad as it is, not many do. you can feel for others, worry for them, be sensitive and selfless, your a good person"

Strone lowered his arm and approached her and gave her a hug

Jeremiah felt her heart pound in her chest as Strone pointed at it. Why...Why is it doing that? As Strone approached her, her heart pounded even more rapidly. Then, finally...He hugged her. Jeremiah hugged back.
"Thank you, Strone..." she said. She smiled slightly. "I guess I couldn't show any fear back then, so I'm making up for it now. But they're only memories. I shouldn't be so scared of them...What's past should be behind me." She squeezed harder. "At least someone's here to help me through it now..."

Strone smiled and released her from the hug.

Jeremiah laughed.
"If I let it all out, it would be really hard to explain to Simon and Rose why I've been crying," she said. Then, she felt a certain heaviness on her chest. "You'll be there for me?"
"I'll always be there for you." She looked down sadly for a second. Now's not the time to go crazy. Focus. Strone released her from the hug.
"You're a strong person," he said. Jeremiah laughed.
"I'm sorry, it's just...Nobody's called me that before. In fact, most people think just the opposite of me," she explained between chuckles.

Strone wiped her tears away and nodded with a warm smile.

"Yeah of course I'll be here for you! Why wouldnt I be?"

Strone smiled at her.

"Well just because no one ever told you that doesnt mean im wrong. You really are, more then you realize"

"Yeah. It might get easier sometime," Jeremiah said. She was vaguely aware she had been crying, but she only realized it when Strone wiped some tears away and smiled. "You know, I guess I'll never get what I did out of my head. When the guy came for me, I lunged at him and somehow managed to steal his axe. I swung and it...Let's say he no longer had a leg to stand on. Literally. He...That man died and...Then, I broke the head off the axe after breaking all the locks to the other cages with it. And...I stayed behind everyone. I made sure all of them got out safely. And, well...I still don't know how I managed to survive. Haha!" She put her hand behind her head.
"Um...You wouldn't be there if you...Er...You know what? Never mind," she responded. "Stronger than I realize...Hm..."

Strone listened to her story.

"Yknow, when ones life is in danger, people do extraordinary things. The state of survival makes you lose feeling of pain or energy and you tend to do things normally you could never do, your survival and the safety of the others was on your mind, nothing else mattered, and you in a sense became invincible. And you survived because you were doing the right thing and you had the strength in you the entire time!"

Strone nodded encouraging her.

"If I what?" he tilted his head.

"Please...tell me"

Simon laughed and shook his head "Don't apologize oh ye of high standing! We common folk tend to not do that anyway. Just keep to yourself, and stay smart. I've gone quite a few years like that, and I'm doing pretty damn well yes?" Simon looked down at his harp, still missing strings. "Well, for the most part anyway." He jokingly said.

(Crap i had no idea there were replies from the last post I did, sorry ^^:)

Strone sighed as he tried to get one on one direct response from Jeremiah, he shurgged and nodded at the idea of exploring the town and a change of equipment. "I'm not going to forget to get the truth Jeremiah...please just be honest with me when I do..."

he walked a little ahead, still a little in pain from the injuries, but making it to the door.

"Don't forget...we have to meet the man who hired me too, then again now that we are here, im starting to ... have a bad feeling"

Jeremiah sighed as Strone told her he wouldn't forget to get the truth. Just great. If there was anything she hated, it was reflecting upon her past. No point in worrying about that now...
"Of course you're having a bad feeling," she said. "I am, too." Then, her stomach growled. "Then again, it could just be my hunger." She laughed. "How about we eat something, get Rose some new clothes, then meet this mystery man. He'd stand no chance against the four of us if he tried anything." She smiled warmly, then opened the door for Strone. She had a slight limp, but that was it.
"Ladies first," she teased.

Strone smirked and got clever

"Well, we do have a special lady with us here, so she should be first then to abide by your rules Miss Jeremiah"

He smirked suggesting Rose to go first, he kept his eyes on Jeremiah though, he was truly concerned about her hidden past and the truth she felt needed to be hidden. Maybe he just liked honesty with the ones he traveled with, maybe not. But the past seemed to be eating at her, and if there was a person to help make a persons inner demons be resolved, Strone was the one to do so.

"Clever," Jeremiah mumbled. Then, she looked Strone in the eye.
"You're right. She should go first," she said simply, then she whispered. "But next will be either you or me. Simon's the nice guy, so he finishes last." She winked, then turned to Rose.
"M'lady." She did an over-the-top bow as she indicated the door. "Be our guest."
He wants to get me alone with him so he can have more of a chance to try to get the truth from me...Oh, boy. I have that to look forward to...

Strone smirked at her.

"Who said I wasn't guy?"

He sighed, honestly he was and took little offense to the statement, since he was tired of finishing last.

Assuming Rose infact walked out first he would follow right behind her, to spite Jeremiah's thoughts. As Strone would pass he he whispered quietly

"If it will cause you to be hesitant and distant, I wont bother to push it, I am sure you will tell me if due time if you trust me enough, until then just relax and be yourself"

Strone would then walk out. He felt a bit bad trying to get the truth out of her, to be honest though, he did care about her.... and he just wanted to help....of course he would be the same for anyone, Rose, Simon, anyone else they may meet. Strone sighed a little to himself, staring off onto the slightly busy town street, something seemed to be bothering the swordsman.
