"Congratulations, Jeff Andonuts. You have passed the Class B driving test. Your license should be sent to your house later in the day." Jeff sighed out of relief. "Thank god." He took out his cell phone and called up a taxi. "Take me to Winters Boarding School." Jeff said to the cabby, as he entered the taxi. "That's going to cost you $30." The cabby said, as Jeff took out his wallet and paid the man. "Ok then." He took Jeff to his school. Once Jeff arrived, he went to the school's auto shop.

Once he arrived, the shop foreman gave Jeff his license. "This came in today. Are you sure your car is going to be ready by the event?" Jeff took some tools nearby. "I should, this is getting very expensive. At this point, I'm going to have cut the engine's horsepower just to complete the whole thing."


A few hours of tune-ups later, a couple of guys came in with their paints and airbrushes. "Give me a nice, silver coating." Jeff said, as the head painter nodded and responded by saying "will do." Once they applied the coat of silver (don't worry, Jeff already put primer on the body), Jeff paid the painters their money's worth.

"Look at that fantastic machine. Do you guys think it will win the race next week?" Jeff asked the other guys in the room. "Not a chance. My corvette will leave you in the dust." The group of guys who were working on their own corvettes laughed. "320 horses against your 120? Not a chance." The guys laugh again, as Jeff grew furious.

"Don't worry Jeff, you still got skill." One of his nerdy friends told Jeff. "Yeah, just barely." Jeff said, as he got into his car. "You guys coming? I'd hate to end up fixing it alone." 3 nerds entered the car with Jeff, as they drove over to the test circuit.

"So far so good!" Jeff said, as he and his friends exited the vehicle, and Jeff signed up for his time-trial.

".... Huh. 120 horses you say?" KT just decided to pop up out of nowhere, standing, leaning on his old school 240Z. It had its upgrades, new engine, new everything. Only thing that remained visible to its stock form was the body. Aero parts equipped to it, making it look like one smooth ride. But instead of any of the standard spoilers, he applied what looked like a spoiler from an EVO. Looked nice, though.
"I just got my engine today. '09 GT-R, sucker's a beast. Think they'll let me still race, though? I've my license since a week ago, and don't know if they'll allow a modified car in any of the class B races. My engine's still stock, but it's got more horses than the corvettes you've got. 480 stock, think it's too powerful for a class B race?" He asked, curiously. Hand was rested on the sleek, black frame as he looked to the people he now addressed. If they wanted to question him, they had better take it to the track. He'd been waiting for a challenger, since people backed out after seeing the mods he put on his car.

"480 horses?" Jeff asked. "That's worth a Class IA license race! Well I'm not sure if they allow modified vehicles or not. I built mine from scratch, so I had to go talk to the coordinators about entering my vehicle." Jeff took off his glasses, wiped the lenses off with his shirt, then put his glasses back on. "Those guys have it easy, seeing as Corvettes are known for their horsepower."

"They're monsters, but who's gonna do anything about it?" Shrugging, he took a look around, noting what he said. "Corvettes aren't exactly what you should worry about. If anything, I'd just rather stick to good old school frames, and mod the inside. I had to mix up the suspension on my car, which was a pain in the ass." Sighing, KT looked to Jeff with a bit of a smile. "If you want, I can race someone to demonstrate what my work paid off for." Hands in pockets, he took another look at Jeff. He looked like he was ready for a race, and KT intended to see what he could do.... after their talk. "Or we can see what tuning we can score for cheap. Might not seem like much, but I think we can add some extra power to that car of yours, given we win enough races."

One of the corvette owners overheard KT's statement about corvettes. "Hey! I bet you never even raced a corvette!" He yelled, as he started walking over to Jeff and KT. Jeff looked at KT. "I think we should talk later. That guy seems pretty mad." Jeff looked over at the guy. "I can assure you that your vehicle would put that guy in his place." The guy made it over to their location. "You think you're so bad-ass with your '480 HP' piece of crap! Well I'll show you!" The guy said, taking a few steps to his car. "I'll see you on the track!" The guy said, as he entered his car and drove it over to the starting line.

"Saw that coming. Watch me, you may want to take note." Putting on his racing gloves, he cracked his knuckles, heading to his car, putting it to the starting line. Once someone had arrived to the start line, he kept his revving to a minimum. Left foot ready on the clutch, he placed his left hand on the wheel while the right stayed on the gear shifter. Once the signal to start was sounded, he already had strategized it. If his calculations were correct, it'd be simple work. Right then, he thought of a way to use the course's technical nature against the Corvette. He knew its weaknesses in the corners, too so it'd be simple victory for a drifter and solid footwork. All he needed was the signal and his plan would go into effect.

The corvette revved its engine several times before the driver rolled down the window to taunt KT. "See ya in last!" The driver looked forward and the signal was given. The driver pushed hard on the pedal, making the corvette move as fast as possible.

"He's going to crash." Jeff said, after he finished writing some equations on a piece of paper.

Wasn't more than a quarter second that his speed had been almost 30, then 60 within due time. Once the first turn (which anyone with a good sense would say it's a hairpin) came up, he immediately timed it so his brakes were hit before he made his turn, beating the clutch, shifting down to get the right cornering drift, then he reversed the process, accelerating... right before he heard some crash. Stopping to investigate, it was the corvette. KT just sighed, wondering if the idiot driver had lost any more braincells from the head trauma. Double checking his theory, he was right, but the driver wasn't bleeding nor dead. Driving back to the start line where Jeff was, he shrugged once he got out.
"Exactly how stupid are some people here?" He asked slightly confused.

"Just that group of guys from my school. I think he was trying to psyche you out with a special kind of drift." Jeff said, as he looked at the crash scene from his location. "At least he was smart enough to listen to the shop teacher about safety."

"The kids from your school mustn't be too bright when it comes to drifting. The Corvette lacks drifting capability compared to some of the Japanese cars like the Skyline or RX-8. And if there was a special drift with THAT Corvette, it'd be a mock-up of a drift done by a Nissan. Anyway, enough of this BS. Which school do you go to? I think you look familiar from a year back." KT eyed Jeff curiously. Looked like a former classmate of his. But he never truly paid enough attention, so it really never mattered because he left that school after a week due to a forced transfer. That was before he had been owning his 240, and even longer before he had tuned it.
