Mira sighed about the announcement. Already? Looks like I'll have to find something else to do for the rest of the day. Mira left the room he was in and started to walk back to his house. But before he left, he locked up the room he was in before.

Nate sighed at the announcement. Time to go back home, he thought. Even though he didn't like school, it was better to him than home. At least he could ignore his classmates. He couldn't ignore his own mother. She knew him too well. So, he reluctantly headed out of the building.

((I think I should start up the next day)).

Mira arrived to the classroom in the early hours of the morning. He unlocked the door to the classroom, then entered. What am I going to do for the next few hours? Mira thought to himself, as he put his stuff on his desk. I could play me some Bomb Squad, but that only lasts for half of an hour. Mira sighed, as he took out his laptop. I guess I'll review today's lesson plan. And Mira did just hat for the next few hours.

Nate entered the room. He was angry at something, it seemed. So angry, he didn't even notice he was the only one in the room except Mira. Nate pulled out a book that looked tattered and worn. He flipped it open to the complex numbers and diagrams and began writing and erasing in what seemed to be random places.

Mira looked away from his laptop to see who entered the classroom. It was Nate. He wanted to say something, but he thought "nah, forget it", then resisted the urge to complete that thought about the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song. He then returned back to his work and continued.

Andy walked quickly into the classroom, eager for another day. She was proud of herself for finding the room without help. She noticed a disgruntled Nate and a focused Mira, each busy with his own work. Andy sat in her desk in the front row and pulled out her new laptop wordlessly.

Nate scribbled furiously in the book. Then, he glanced around the room, noticing for the first time he was early. He looked first at Mira, then at Andy. It was quiet, but peaceful. Nate opened his mouth to speak, but decided it wasn't worth it. He went back to the book, this time working more carefully on correcting work and adding formulas. He jumped when the bell rang, then crammed the book into his backpack.

It became time to start class, as the students entered the classroom. Mira finished his work and looked at the incoming students. "So who can tell us what we covered yesterday?" Mira asked, as he saved his document and got out of the chair. He then walked over to the front of the room. Mira scanned the audience for an answer. "Nate? Can you tell us?" Mira asked.

Mira pointed in the direction of Nate, pointing at him like an attorney with an objection. "Lies! You were involved with yesterday's discussion!" The guy from yesterday stood up. "That doesn't really matter. We just got here from vacation. Some of us probably forgot what we did yesterday." Mira lowered his hand. "How many people forgot what we did yesterday?" Mira asked, as most of the students raised their hands.

Nate just didn't like the fact that most of the others had forgotten. Ironically, I seem to be the only one who DOES remember. He sighed, rolling his eyes. "We talked about desoldering and how it can be risky, but effective in the right hands."

"WRONG!" Mira slapped an invisible desk, yet produced an actual sound. "Never go by what things usually are! You must analyze the circuit and cut accordingly! You may never know when someone switched the colors around. If you go by such info, then you can easily wrong the wrong wire, and therefore, detonate the bomb." The projector changed the image to a schematic diagram of a bomb. "The different color lines represent the color of the wires in the bomb. In this diagram, 'GND' is gray." Mira was about to move the presentation forward. "Don't bother copying this diagram, we are going to cover the schematic symbols for the parts of a circuit. Then, we'll look at this again." Mira pushed the button. "Before I continue, can anyone name this part?" Mira asked, looking at his students.

"Does anyone remember simple electricity back in the fifth grade?" Mira asked, looking at a sea of blank faces. "Oh not you too!" Mira said, referring to Joe. "You told me not to answer." He replied. "GAH! Wise guy, eh? Tell me what that part is!" Joe restrained a laugh. "That's a diode. You can tell because there's an arrow with line at the tip of it. That line indicates that electrons can't flow backwards." Mira nodded at Joe's answer. "Good." Joe's score appeared on screen. This time, it was 500. "How about this one?" Mira asked, as the screen showed a zig-zagged line that is straight on both ends.

Nate knew this one, but he kept his mouth shut. He knew many things could be an answer. Friction was probably the one he was looking for, but Nate still wouldn't reply. He didn't like to play dumb, but...He felt he had to do that. Everyone around him had a blank face.

Nate had the answer on the tip of his tongue again. He still fought the urge to raise his hand. The last thing he needed was to get called on and forget completely. His mind was racing. What is it? Think. It has something to do with resistance. Come on, you can remember.

Mira asked, as Joe nod in agreement. "Very well. What's your answer?" Mira asked. "Resistor." Mira nod at Joe's response. "Ok, can anyone else answer?" Mira asked. "Remember electron theory." He gave us the hint to give it away. If this is a resistor like I think it is, then the hint makes perfect sense, Nate thought. But I'll stay out of this one. This looks like something Andy should try.
