Background Story:

In the year 1983, the small village of Hinamizawa finds itself under attack from an evil force and thrown into an endless cycle of death and despair. Rika Furude and her ancestor, Hanyu, have worked for over one hundred years to stop this and have failed every time. Just when they find themselves nearing victory, the two are taken to a totally different Hinamizawa, one where Keiichi, Rena, Mion, Shion, and Satoko don't exist. Now, the two must work together to save this Hinamizawa from the fate that the old ones have had, but can they succeed when they have to start from scratch?

Personality: Generally shy and reserved, though she is usually more outgoing with her friends. She is frightened easily.
Background: A young girl with a voice of gold who has lived in Hinamizawa all her life. She loves singing, though few have heard her voice, and those who have are her closest friends or family members. Her younger sister, Hikari, was killed in the middle of the night about a year ago, and Aika fled Hinamizawa for a short time and developed a sense of fear around people she doesn't know. When she returned to the village, she began carrying a knife that she always keeps concealed, even from her best frineds, for self-defense.

Rules:

1. Follow the normal RP rules for this forum.
2. No godmodding, even if you're Rika or Hanyu.
3. This is 1983. Keep the technology in check.
4. You do NOT have to have seen the entire Higurashi series to play this (in fact, I'm only on episode 10 of ni Kai). If you have any questions about how things work, either use Wikipedia or ask me.
5. Even though this series is violent, make sure to give at least some vague alert if you're about to kill somebody so they can try to fight back.
6. Please be at least somewhat literate. I'm pretty picky when it comes to grammar, and so is Aika's knife. >:)
7. If you feel a rule needs to be added, let me know and I'll consider adding it.

Are you going to control the plot, or is this RP just going to go with whatever the RPers decide to do? I'll join, I just want to know how this'll work.

If I controlled the plot, this RP wouldn't be any fun. Whoever goes into paranoia and who gets killed and whatnot is all based on the decision of the players.

*realizes something from an episode she just saw and changes up Aika's profile a bit*

Edit: Also, if I wanted to control the plot, I would have picked Rika or Hanyu.
