(I may as well give this a bite and see if anyone else follows suit. I dunno if the story will be worth anyone's attention, cause I'm not the greatest setting creator, but hell, I'm trying. Dunno if anyone will like Metal Slug enough to give this a shot. But again, worth trying. If there is anything unclear to you, let me know and I'll try to explain the best I can.)

-= THE STORY =-

For years, the Peregrine Falcon, Regular Army, and the Sparrows have all been at odds with the Rebellion and the Ptolemaic Army for many years now. Them, and of course, the hostile aliens who have been wanting to take over the Earth for some reason or another. We don't know why. But who cares? They don't like humans, and that's all that's needed to know.

But this time, it seems the threats have gotten... well... a little out of hand. It's begun to plunge the whole world into a state of chaos none had ever seen before. Multiple army factions have begun to rise up in order to combat and repress this chaos, as well as those who wish to encourage and increase it. Such as the Black Raven forces, who are allying themselves with the Rebellion, led by General Morden. There are also the factions that want to take over the world and create their own global rule. Terrorists have also begun to move amidst the craziness, such as the Freedom Liberation Force. The Mars People have also recently begun to turn their focus back on the human race and are plotting their usual takeover. Seeing them doing so, other alien races are hoping to do so as well just to beat them to the punch. Damn aliens.

Who'll be the one who frees the world? Who'll be the first to rule over it? Only the war and the metal slugs will tell.

-= THE RULES =-

Okay, here's the rules, dudes.

ORIGINAL CHARACTERS ARE ALLOWED. Yes, feel free to make any and whatever characters/factions/races you want to the storyline. Whatever is fine. The profiles can have whatever additional statistics as you wish to, whatever you feel is needed. Be sure to PM me the profiles and I'll post them up on the front page, so as to keep things nice and organized. Or you can post them in the topic. Either way, I put em up on the front.

No overpowered characters, I want there to be some semblance of fairness here. They don't have to be human or have the particularly same limits, but at least give them some weakness or weaknesses. Course, considering this is Metal Slug, I don't think we have to worry too much about mega-super-powered-people being around. :)

No godmoding. And no auto-hit crap unless it's agreed upon by both players fighting each other to make it alright. If it's a hand-to-hand fight, let's keep it in control, and some form of auto-hit is allowed, as long as it's not attempting to be fatal or so. Not sure if that helps much, but it's worth a shot unless something breaks down and the auto-hitting thing has to be taken out of the equation. This doesn't necessarily have to apply to the miscellaneous cannon-fodder soldiers, seeing as how it can go either way for them right now.

The usual cast of Metal Slug characters can also be featured here (like Marco Rossi, Tarma Roving, General Morden, ect). Feel free to put your own little spin on them, since this is purely a work of fiction, so they can be funny or dark or whatever. Just to check, please PM me if you wish to play as one of these guys so that in case someone else has them and you just came in, I can tell you who has them or whatever. If you wish to relinquish the role, let me know and they'll be open for anyone else who wishes to handle them. There can also be miscellaneous soldiers who can be cannon fodder and whatnot and everything for whatever suitable occasions necessary. This is, after all, war.

I encourage talking with others to create storylines for the RP. Discuss things as need be and work things out as to what to do next and strategize. PM, IM, or whichever other means. Work things out. And, let's all be cool here. :)

That should be about it unless other things come up or if a problem arises that needs to be solved.

They tend to send spies into other bases of races to steal technology. Amy has been known to trick many with her sweet and charming looks. She handles pistols and knives well (if we can use those?). At the age of 5, she has been since trained to be cunning and clever. Her mother and father died in a war as civilians, but she hated them, so she doesn't care much. She has a real weakness for treasure. You might want to think twice about trusting her though...
