"Every room save for twenty, nineteen, and thirteen, and you may not trust me, but that's understandable."
Sad to say, not many others trust me either, a pity too.... What better this world would be were there an ounce of trust. "I'm quite pleased to be meeting you later on, Miss, for now, goodbye." He hung up with a small smile on his face. Damon was all-too-aware at the overwhelming amount of people who distrusted him, but he had long since gotten used to it. [i]Now who is this Gant person, I wonder....? Damon Gant.... my name.... how odd.... Before long, he went off to find his daughter.
"Our rooms are mainly the same size, any which is pleasing to you, dear, and the Arial House is free to stay in, you don't have to worry." Sophie consoled, a slight smile on her face, trying to look as kind as she sounded, she did a fairly good job of it as well.
Harra sat writing down the name and room until she was stopped by Damon. "Oh! Father, I was just writing down a guest, was there something you needed?" Asked she, a little startled, left hand still writing, right grasping the cane as a pure habit upon speaking with others.
"What do you know about Damon Gant, Harra?" Damon always felt ashamed at one thing, what little time he spent with his daughter. His time away raised her to be flighty, not close to neither him nor Sophie, but instead by someone not even in the family.
"
Oh! You've heard about that case as well? It's been a couple years, hasn't it...? The trial of Lana Skye for the murder of Detective Goodman, last I recall. Unraveled an entire two cases, I believe, SL... ah, drat, I don't recall, I'm sorry. But Damon Gant was Lana's Boss, Chief of Police, saw him in the courthouse, lovely man, but goodness, he was
frightening."
Damon chose not to dwell on what Harra might have meant by that before nodding, leaving the room, her interest in murders and other cases sort of bothered him at times, but since they lived in what Sophie called the "Lawyer district" his daughter's knowledge seemed to come in handy.
