"Uh, well." Nick rubbed the back of his neck. "We got a call from Mr. Edgeworth to fetch a car title from Miles' desk. There wasn't a car title there, but we did find a racey post card with an address on it." Nick pointed at Mia and she handed the postcard to the detective. "Erm, Miles told you everything that happened after that."
"I wonder if I have any flour?" Miles checked his cabinets.
"Um, could we keep all this as private as possible? Miles' reputation is on the line here and if the press catches wind it could ruin him." Nick requested. "This is all the work of Montgomery Beluciano, Miles just got sort of caught in the crosshairs of his kid."

Draco's face went pale when he heard the name Montgomery Beluciano. "Mon Beluciano?" He hissed, his composer lost for the moment. "Did you just say, Beluciano...and his kid?!" Draco slammed his fist on the counter, his calm demeanor gone from the whispers of a shadow in his past. "Who's the kid?!" He demanded. "Who!?"

Nick jumped back in surprise at the detective's outburst.
"Uh...M-Melissa Parks..." He stammered.
"I was supposed to have a picnic with her, wasn't I?" Miles wondered for a moment. "Oh no, wait. She said we were going to have a picnic and I punched Ms. Fey's car. That was it." He was about to fill a kettle with water, but he ended up dropping it in the sink. He spent almost a minute trying to pick it back up again.

[OOC: Wow, I'm gone for a day and you guys went to town. ^.^]

Mia stepped in, mainly to save Phoenix from possible injury. "Beluciano didn't stick his nose into this thing until yesterday, when he tried to persuade me to 'accept' his help regarding this case. His guys are the reason Phoenix has those head bandages. The connection between Beluciano and Melissa Parks was something none of us were aware of until I called Gregory Edgeworth last night."

Aser tapped Edgeworth on the shoulder. "Are you sure you don't want some sleep, Captain Cravat?"

Aser was almost oblivious to the outburst of the detective. "My, Captain Cravat does have a bad taste in wives, doesn't he? First of all, he marries Beluciano's youngest daughter, then starts taking drugs. I dread to think what kind of case he'd have Parks takes this to court..."

Draco took a moment to regain his composier. "I'm...I'm sorry for the outburt," he apologized to Mr. Wright. "The name took me by surprize." Now this case is making more sense. He wasn't aware of Beluciano having a daughter, but if what Wright just said is the truth. "This is a bit of an understatement, but we've just stumbled into a dire situation." He glanced at his watch, nearly ten o'clock. "I suggest we continue this discussion back at the prescint. If you three could just follow us."

Aser looked around the apartment again. "Yes, we should be going." He was expecting to be waiting a while, or be in the police car for a while. Nevertheless, he took out his lighter, and a single dollar note. He put some tabacco into it, then roled it up. He lit the end of it with his lighter, then placed it in his mouth and inhaled. He then removed it from his mouth, then allowed his peppermint-smoke breath to engulf those nearest him.

Draco eyed Edgeworth for a moment, then nodded. "Right, it would best." He glanced over at Aser, wondered a moment while he was smoking a dollar bill, then sighed. He could never understand prosecutors. "If you want, you can all ride in my car, unless you have other forms of transportion?"

"We took Mia's car here." Nick pointed over to her before taking Edgeworth gently by the arm. Edgeworth didn't really seem to notice the contact and was easily led by his friend.

Aser nodded. "Mm. I suppose the hospital would be best, as I don't want to be talking to someone who can't think for himself. I assume he would mistake my hair for a pom-pom and attempt to dance. Or he'd set himself on fire. As much of a fan of non-slapstick humour, I would probably be laughing too hard to help him. Let's pray he isn't stoned enough to do anything let could enable us to press charges. Or Misses Edgeworth wouldn' t be a very happy bunny, as her case would be automatically taken to court... And probably be prosecuted by me. Or is all of this to morbid of an observation of a possible outcome? I assume I'm rambling now." another cloud of smoke left his lips, and worked it's way up to the roof, where it lingered before working it's way towards an open window, and escaping to the night air.

"It's still really weird. I mean just yesterday he said he'd send you something to help you win, but then he's sent someone to load Miles' place with drugs to make it sound like his daughter was telling the truth." "I don't know," Draco replied to Mr. Wright. "However, I intend to find out when either that big oaf or the woman wakes up. Ms. Fey," he turned to the defense attorney. "We'll drop Edgeworth off at the hospital, and I'll have Gumshoe looking out for him. We'll discuss more about the events back at the headquarters." He paused and added under his breath so only Mia could hear, "Rest assure Ms. Fey. I'll not allow that man any influence whatsoever." Draco nodded once more at Prosecutor Aser before leaving the apartment and heading toward his car.

"I'll ride with Mia." Nick didn't ask to stay with Miles for different reasons. The biggest of which being that one more minute with the man and he was going to be arrested for second degree murder. "I'm not sure how useful I'll be, but I'll certainly try." He mustered a smile that came off a bit more timid than he'd intended.

Aser carried on a tangent, completely aware of the fact that nobody was paying him any attention. "I hope that the girl wakes up first. The oaf will, as likely as almost certain, not know anything. This speaking from experience, as only the head of the operation (assuming it's the girl) will know everything. And she won't be cooperative. So, I may as well try something underhand. Maybe sodium penanthol... Commonly known as truth serem."

Aser noticed that nobody was paying attention. His cigarette had burned down, and he soon dropped it with several curses of moderate rudeness. He soon nodded, and proceeded make his way down the corridor, gesturing at anyone who wanted to come to follow him. And Edgeworth.

"Uh yeah." Nick replied. He'd been lost in thought for a moment before that and slipped back into it after he answered. So much about all this just didn't make sense and it bothered him that he couldn't figure out why. And what about that address? Where did that go to? And why didn't Mr. Edgeworth just say that's what he wanted them to get?

Aser dragged Edgeworth by the cravat, moving to go down to the police car. "Um, your name?" he asked Phoenix. "I think I know who Captain Cravat is, and that woman's Miley Fake, or something. I have no idea what your name is though."

Mia gently gave Phoenix a bit of a shove to get him moving. She didn't like the idea of staying in Miles' apartment longer than she had to, and considering what had gone on earlier, it was a fairly legitimized frame of mind.

"Oh, right. Sorry." muttered Aser, but he didn't scribble the name down. "I am Prosecutor Aser Amun." he said, using the full title to achieve the worst effect possible. He noted that Miles was slipping down some of the stairs. "I suppose he'll be having bruised knees soon. Not an entirely great loss, anyway."

"Believe me, when he sobers up he's going to be incredibly pissed off." Nick muttered his late response to Aser's enjoyment comment and kept his pace several steps behind them. He was pulling at the part of his bandage that slid along his forehead. He'd probably take it off tonight, just so he could wash his hair. The whole point of the thing was to stop blood from getting everywhere wasn't it? Surely he'd stopped bleeding by now. In fact he could probably take it off now if he really wanted to, but his hair was a total mess. At least the bandage gave him an excuse.

Meanwhile Miles was wondering if red wine or white wine went best with chicken.

"Blargh, I'll give him an aneasthetic before that drug wears off. If he stops speaking random shit, I'll be happy enough." Aser wondered how long Edgeworth would be effected by the drug. Once it stopped taking effect, Aser was either going to be laughing for ages, or pissed off. Perhaps both. Aser nodded his head gently - noting that he was sobering up slightly. He made a mental note to have a shot of whiskey in the police car.

"He was pretty gathered an hour ago." Nick replied after calculating just how long it had been since the third act of all this mess had started. "Maybe the spaciness means it'll be wearing off soon." Nick continued to pull at his bandage. It was starting to drive him crazy. "Or maybe he's finally suffered some brain damage from how many times he's had crap forced into his system in the last two days. I hear drugs can do that." Nick almost sounded hopeful when he said that. His headache was coming back and it was making him a little cranky.

Nick thought he'd been hiding it pretty well, so he was sort of surprised that Mia noticed.
"Yes, ma'am." He replied and stopped pulling at the bandage if only because Mia had him by the wrist and he couldn't reach it. When she let go his hands wanted so badly to go back up there that he stuffed them into his pockets.

"I pray they don't wear off; I like him this way" said Aser, dragging Edgeworth down the last couple of steps. "Captain Cravat, we're at the bottom of the stairs." Aser noted as Edgeworth made another "down-stair" move that would of dragged the pair of them to the floor. Aser walked out, and went towards the police car.

Miles turned to look at his apartment while he was being pulled, but only briefly, and the blank look on his face didn't show what he might have been thinking when he did it. Given his state it was probably something about muffins or motor oil.

Aser pushed Miles into the car. "Go home, pick up your medication, Feenie, then come 'round to the preceint when your ready." he said to Phoenix, before getting in the front, strapping Miles into the car like a baby. He got into the car, and drove to the station, going slowly to see if anyone else was willing to come. And because the sped limit here was annoyingly low.

((There's a second car brought by Draco, BTW.))
