It was the first time Nickie had seen the wedding dress up close. He loved it. It looked right for an out door wedding. Just then, the driver, Winston Payne, said that they were taking off.

Upon remembering this she started to take it down, most of it that wasn't too hairsprayed fell down past her shoulders. She ran her fingers through her hair getting it to straighten after being up it the tight bun it had been in.

When they arrived, Nickie sighed. They were early. No one showed up yet. As an act of kindness, Nickie offered to let Payne into the reception for being a good driver and all. Payne accepted, shocked by the kindness.

Nat looked around the reception room. Nobody there yet. Sad receptiton. She wandered out to the middle of the dance floor and spun around. "Lalalala" She sang. The dress flared out as she spun faster. Nat heard Nickie's phone ring and she stopped. The room kept spinning around. That was her favorite part of getting dizzy. She wondered who was calling. Hopefully somebody she knew, and not some problem at Nickie's job. She plopped down in the chair.

Meanwhile the rain outside fell in sheets, covering everything with a coat of wetness. Occaisionallly the lightining cracked and the thunder roared.

Nickie decided to put on some music. Luckily, the Deejay hadn't shown up, so he could fiddle around a little. However, he mixed things up a little, so the speaker controls and the radio controls were switched. But it didn't matter to him much, there was nothing much of interest to him in the selection.
