"Poison? Ah, you're not the innocent bridesmaid you appear to be," Felix teased as he stepped into the room. "Don't worry; I'll play a special version of 'Talk Dirty To Me' just for you, kay?" He laughed and took a seat in one of the many chairs. He thought of closing the door behind him, but only pushed it in slightly to make her more comfortable. "By the way, we'll need some Motley Crue. I am, as they say, Dr. Feelgood." That was his favorite song and he began to play it, smiling and miming the words.

Caelestis rolled her eyes. Not so innocent... at least the stories I write aren't trashy novels! she thought with a joking huff.
"'Motely Crue'?" she said aloud with a laugh as Felix began to play, rather well. "Let's take things one at a time. We need to develop the list for the wedding first, yes?" She took a piece of paper and pencil and began to write some songs down. "We're going to have to hurry; the wedding will start probably soon," Cae explicated, realizing she was sounding way too "business-y". "Well, your earlier song choices sounded good... Let's see, what do you think of a little Elvis and—" Cae's eyes lit up suddenly. "How does 'Amazed' by Lonestar sound?" she tapped her pencil to the side of her cheek in thought, a habit she formed whenever she was writing by hand. "Eh, we should probably condense the list for the wedding. The reception shouldn't be too hard to list." She began to write hastily. Mid-sentence, she stopped, realizing how much she was blabbing. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, um, undermine you, or anything," Cae apologized.

Felix entered the solo smoothly, just smiling. Her voice was so alluring, he practically couldn't concentrate. "Sounds good," he replied vacantly. He kept playing absently, not realizing he was staring right at her. Felix tried to focus again. "Um, how bout Stairway? Or..." He lost it again. "What do you do for a living?" he asked in a distracted stupor.

Caelestis began to fidget with her pencil. The way he was smiling made her feel confident and the way he seemed to actually stutter made her feel like she wasn't the "ignorant" one in this... "relationship". She swallowed the growing nervousness in her throat.
Huh, did he actually ask about my profession...? Cae always had one of two reactions whenever she told people her profession; either they felt sorry for her because they thought she was dirt poor, or they didn't think it was a very "purposeful" or perhaps "honorable" career. Luckily, a few people supported her, such as Mia.

"Oh, me?" she started out, deciding to choose her words wisely. Cae hoped he wouldn't laugh at her face. "I-I'm a writer. I've written a few fiction books and once in awhile write something for a local newspaper," Caelestis explained. "I mean, I do some side jobs, mostly working at bookstores and such. I was a waitress at one point, but when I officially got an agent, I didn't have time to do that job," Cae replied disgustedly, her memory retreating to when she had to deal with impatient and rude customers. "I adore books and reading. I enjoy music, too, but writing has always been my life," Caelestis finished. "I know it probably sounds strange..."

Felix laughed and shook his head. "Come on, Caelestis. You don't have to be so jumpy," he said reassuringly. "I think it's a great line of work. By the way you articulate, you must make an amazing writer." Felix had stopped playing and was only talking, giving her a warm smile he was barely aware of. "By the way, I noticed the makeup you put on. It looks great," he added. He thought she would like the compliment, but he hadn't planned it.

Cae smiled; she liked getting complimented on her writing. It was a work she loved doing, but often got little reward for. She scavenged every compliment people mustered.
She reddened slightly at the comment towards her make-up. Says the man that said I didn't have to wear any... Somehow that made it sweeter. His nice smile surprisingly relaxed her; it was a genuine smile, not a "I-Feel-Bad-For-You" smile.
She glanced at the clock in the room and jumped up.

"Uh, Felix? I believe the wedding is about to start. We should probably get going," she spoke.

As the clock slowly clicked closer to the time the wedding would begin, Gerk began to get more and more nervous. He'd already messed up the beginning of the day and he didn't want to mess up this bit. He needed everything to be wonderful for Mia. She deserved it afterall, because that's what she was. Wonderful. He thought about talking to the guests, and he made a point of saying hello to everyone, but socialising wasn't one of his strong points so he never got into any in-depth conversations.

In every wedding you get someone who carries around all the obscure things that you need when you need a backup plan, and that person in this wedding was Lana. She has a pocket ironing set with her, and he bribed her with sweets to give his hat the once-over with it. While he waited, he listened to the wonderful music coming from the band. He wished that he'd been allowed by Mia to arrange SOMETHING for the wedding, but she knew him too well to let him. She was really good at those sorts of things. Every time he screwed up she always managed to turn it around and make him look good. He'd never have thought to iron his hat, and it looked even cooler now. (Or at least, he thought it did anyway). Just a few minutes to go.

Felix's relaxed smile faded when Cae noticed the time. "You're right! C'mon, lets go," he said and hopped up, careful for the guitar. Felix opened the door for Cae and added smoothly, "We can get together again after the wedding." He evaluated what he said and his cheeks flashed a light red. "I mean, we'll talk later, not like that..."

Caelestis hurriedly took the list she'd written on and left through the door that Felix held open for her. He's such a gentleman... she thought with a inaudible sigh. She looked down the hallway; more people were streaming into the church. She hoped there would be a good turnout.

She listened to Felix's comment, who then flushed and reiterated what he meant to say. She reddened slightly, as well, sharing the embarrassment.
"Oh! Y-yes of course," she answered. "Talking... would be nice. I don't, um—" Cae stopped herself before she said something way out of line.

She took the list out of her pocket and put it on her palm, holding it towards Felix.
"Here's the list; you may want it. If you don't mind, I'm going to check up on Mia to make sure everything is fine," Cae responded. She smiled pleasantly.

"Phew." Kino slumped down in a chair, finally away from people for a moment. The musicians were a lot more trouble than they seemed, but she had gotten them all together and in the right place.
"Um, ma'am, do you-"
"I think Felix has the list of music, or maybe Cae."
"Oh, okay."
Why am I always the one who gets asked questions? This isn't my wedding! She let out a small sigh and looked up at the clock. "Oh my gosh!" Kino jumped up and made her way to a mirror, freshening up as best she could before the wedding started. She had completely lost track of time; the wedding was about to start!

"Sure," Felix said, grabbing the sheet, his eyes never leaving her's. "By the way," he added, "do you dance?" He was acting very unlike himself, stuttering, not focusing, spacing out. He was usually calm, smooth and collected, but with Caelestis, he was unnerved, which had only happened once before. That situation was easily handled, however. He needed to slmply focus, and get anything surprising or nerving under control.

Mia was finishing up with her make-up as she heard the door to the bridal room open. Pausing for a moment, she twisted her neck so that she get a clear look at the door and she smiled when she saw Cae standing there. After putting the top back on the lipstick that she had been using and setting it back on the counter, she stood up and walked over to greet her friend, anxious to hear about the details of Cae's "date" with Felix.

"You're back!" Mia said cheerfully, giving her friend a quick hug. "So... how did things go?" she asked, deciding not to dance around the subject. Her eyes sparkled as she added in a teasing tone, "Is he as charming as you thought?"

Bruce looked on as Gerk was now talking with the guests. That meant one thing, the groom was ready. What about the bride? He went over to the priest who nodded at him saying that the bride was ready. He nodded at that which meant that the service was about to start. Heading over to the organ nearby, Bruce whisked out another set of music which he began to play. Hopefully that'll give off the message for everyone to take to their seats ready for the wedding.

((Short post but this is to symbolise everyone to get ready. And I'm sort of sick of playing and nobody talking to me at the same time X( ))

((*cracks fingers* let's get this wedding moving! XD ))

Cae raised her eyebrows in surprise at the question. "Oh! Yes, I dance a little," she answered hesitantly. "I'm a tad... clumsy, but playing music has fortunately helped me with rhythm, at least." She cocked her head to one side and smiled easily. "That is, if you're able to be pulled from your guitar-playing at the reception," she put her hand to her mouth, slightly embarrassed at her comment. "I really have to check up on Mia. I'll... see you there," she said uncertainly. Caelestis didn't exactly want to pull out, but the wedding was going to start any time now, and she had to make sure everything was ready.

She knocked on the door and promptly let herself in. Cae was happy to see Mia smiling. She returned the hug with Mia cheerfully. She blushed at the question her friend asked.

"You have no idea..." she mumbled, averting her eyes. "Very kind and quite funny. And it might actually be genuine. I don't remember his eyes wavering once..." she finally looked up towards Mia. "That's generally a good sign, right?" Cae shook her head and wrapped around the important subject at hand. She studied Mia's face, making sure there was nothing out of place. She was always meticulous; there wasn't anything mussed up. Caelestis grinned.
"I think we should probably head down to the sanctuary. You'll leave them all speechless," Cae encouraged, waiting for Mia's signal to go out of the room.

((All right, let's try to get the wedding started soon. I don't want to make Gerk upset. :payne:

((Sounds smart. ;) I apologize for being absent the past few days. Busy, busy, busy, but I'll try to be better.))

Mia's smile broadened as Cae talked about Felix, feeling immensely pleased that the two had hit it off. Cae was a wonderful person and she truly deserved such happiness. Perhaps she would come to realize that "Happily ever after" didn't only occur in story books...

"It's a very good sign that he looked you straight in the eyes, Cae," she said, giving her friend a quick hug. "Some people say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. It's hard to lie to someone while looking into their eyes."

Cae's compliment surprised her and caused her face to flush a bit from a mixture of embarrassment and pleasure. "Y-You really think I look all right?" she asked with a strange uncertainty as she toyed with a small portion of her hair, sudden feeling apprehensive. Glancing in the mirror, she gave herself a final inspection and took a deep, calming breath. After smoothing out a wrinkle in her dress, she then signaled that she was ready when everyone else was.

"Ahhh! am I late? Has it started? Oh god Jay why do you do this to yourself?!" Jay quickly rushed in the door one of her shoes half on. Even though it seemed like it was almost time, there still were people getting ready which let Jay have a sigh of relief. geez Jay you gotta learn how to be on time... you were almost completely late!. She quickly put her shoe on and started fixing her hair, the wedding was about to start and she didn't want to look like a complete hag. Once she was done with that she quickly walked over to the chairs and sat down. She didn't really know anyone except the bride and she felt awkward, so she just sat there waiting for the wedding to begin.

Dahlia walked in, wearing a simple pink dress with her parasol, which she unfolded. Spying Gerkuman at the altar, she immediatly made a bee line for him.

"Hey, I got the news. I'm glad to hear you and Mia are getting married." She smiled, before continuing.

"Sorry I was late, there was a traffic jam...anyway, I'll be off now, so you can get on. Best of luck." She gave him the thumbs ups before taking a seat in the front row.

Caelestis shrugged her shoulders thoughtfully at Mia's reassurance over Felix. "Th-thanks," she mumbled, scratching the back of her head a little more calmly.

She giggled at her friend's stutters as she tried to fix her hair some more. Cae gently touched Mia's arm. "Don't worry about it! You look beautiful!" she insisted. She pranced over to the door and glanced outside of it. A young lady had suddenly rushed into the church, but otherwise, it looked like everyone was in the sanctuary.

"Mia! We should probably go," Cae called out to her, holding the door open. She faked a curtsy. "Your husband-to-be awaits you, my lady," she said, stifling a giggle.

Gerk got the thumbs up from Cae, and he gave the thumbs up to the band. They finished their ambient song, as he stood up. Everyone stopped in anticipation, waiting for the magic to begin. Gerk suddenly realised that he had no idea where the preacher was, or who the preacher is, but from the looks of it, after Mia makes it up the aisle they'll make themselves known.

And then it happened. The music began, and everyone turned their heads around towards the back of the church in hushed expectation for what was to come. The Bride was ready. Here comes the Bride.

The band finished their song and Jay started to get very excited. This was ironically the first wedding Jay had ever been to. So other than the typical things everyone knew about, she didn't really know what to expect. Thus this made her all the more excited and a little restless. Jay was very quiet as everyone else was in the room and she immediately turned to the back of the room. Mia had looked so pretty before, and her soon-to-be husband didn't look bad either.

As the music began playing, Mia could feel a nervous flutter in her chest. Taking a deep breath, she took one last glance in the mirror and placed the veil over her face. Stopping for a second at the entrance to the wedding room, her eyes quickly jumped to the altar and she couldn't help but smile as her gaze fell on Gerk as he waited patiently for her to arrive beside him.

A soft laugh escaped her and she had to restrain herself from running down the aisle to meet him. Feeling blissfully happy, she walked carefully until she finally stood by his side and waited for the ceremony to begin.

((Do we have someone who is already playing the priest or anyone who wants to volunteer for the part? I'm not picky. :P)

As the organ music started to play, a woman wearing a lilac dress and earrings slipped into the church. She had blond-brown hair and brown eyes and looked nervous. She took a seat in the back row beside a rather reluctant-looking man in a wine red (CoughPINKcough) jacket. He turned to her and hissed, "Jessica, you're late."
"I know, sorry. I got caught up in traffic." she whispered back.

Bruce looked on as Mia slowly walked up to Gerk. After all, both looked so right together with Mia's wedding dress being a sharp contrast to Gerk's tuxedo. Looking behind his shoulder, he saw the priest motioned for him to stop. Gently finishing off the tune, he made his way back to his seat in the front row. Looking at the couple as both nodded their thanks for him, he smiled back and waited for the priest to begin.

The priest looked at the couple standing before him. Both were rather nervous but this is a day that will be remembered for the both of them. With that, he motioned to the organ player to gently end the tune which he did. With that, he opened the Bible in front of him.

"Dearly beloved, family and guests. We are gathered here today to see this man and this woman to join together in holy matrimony. If there are any who object to this union and have a good reason to do so, speak now or forever hold in peace." Looking round, the priest didn't see any hands that were raised or anyone that objected. Smiling with that, he looked towards Gerk

Felix snuck up with the guitar into the booth where Lance was waiting restlessly. Lance turned and smirked. "You're SO going to Hell," he whispered. Felix chuckled quietly and sat back. "Did they say the vows yet?" He asked. "Yep," Lance replied, to Felix's relief. "Thank God," he breathed. "Don't tell me you stuck around for the whole thing," he said incredulously to Lance, who shook his head fervently.

"I used the ol' bathroom break. I'm almost as lost as you are, dude." Lance and Felix both had been to several weddings in the past, but they had never been present for the entire process. Mostly because they didn't know the grooms on a close basis, and only went for the bridesmaids, frankly.

Late. Again. It was like him to be late to a wedding, let alone his own parent's. Phoenix (not Wright, mind you.) quietly snuck through the door. Two steps into the church, he tripped over his untied shoelace. "ACK!!" he exclaimed loudly as his face hit the floor, before covering his mouth quickly to prevent any future sound from escaping. He stood up and looked around nervously. He looked down in shame and sat down. He tied his shoe. Damn shoes. I swear, I tied them earli- OH RIGHT I FORGOT ABOUT THE WEDDING. He finished tying the shoe looked up towards the altar. Holy crap, I AM late. I missed like... half the wedding? At least I'll be here for the receptio- OH DAMMIT PHOENIX PAY ATTENTION.

Bruce just looked on even with the slight commotion at the back. After all, Mia needs everyone to witness this event. Who would want to miss it?

The priest looked on amusingly at the guy who had just came through the doors in the church. He was half expecting him to yell 'OBJECTION'. But he took his place sheepishly out of site and out of mind. Smiling still, he turned to the two and nodded at Mia's response. Raising his hand, he looked at the congregation in front of him. "As witnesses to this union, you'll be reminding them of the promises to one another."

Everyone solemnly said "We will." With that, the priest turned to the Gerkuman.
"With that, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Gerkuman, you may finally kiss your bride after a damn month!"

Jay almost cried for a second, it was so sweet. Damn, I wish I could find love. Ahh well I don't think I'm ready for it. Then the priest had said something and everyone said "We will". Jay sort of caught on the end with a quick "we will" but as this had been her first wedding, she didn't quite know much. Hopefully no one had noticed. Jay didn't really pay attention to the person who had come late earlier, all she was, was glad it wasn't her. With the priest's last line, Jay let out a little laugh.

She smiled and couldn't help herself; it was busting at the seems with perfect romance. Whoever said romance had to have so many problems, issues, betrayals, and demises to be more interesting!? As the priest spoke the words pronouncing them husband and wife, Mia felt Gerk lift her veil from her face and saw him lean down to kiss her. Meeting him halfway, she pressed her lips to his as she wrapped her arms tightly around her new husband, her eyes sparkling joyfully.

As the church erupted into loud cheering, they broke their kiss and turned their heads to face their friends and family sitting in the audience, still holding one another as they smiled at their guests. Finally, with a reluctant sigh, Mia pulled away from her husband and, after taking his hand, they walked together down the aisle, leading the way to the room where the reception would be held.

((OOC: I don't see any reason why not, Cae. :) I mean unless people really don't want to RP the reception. I'm fine with either.))

Phoenix smiled as his newlywed parents walked past him. At first he thought he had ruined the wedding, but he knew his parents were glad he showed up. Phoenix stood up as they passed by him. He looked at them with the biggest of smiles. He was so happy for them. Plus, it was reception time which meant cake, wine, music, dancing... all kinds of fun. I wonder what kind of cake they got... and the wine, and the music...

Jay cheered along with the crowd as the newly weds went down the aisle. "Oh.. I guess it's reception time, mmm I hope they have a good cake!". Jay started to think yummy thoughts when she had to snap herself out of it. "Hahaha come on Jay, save the hunger for the cake." she said happily to herself.

Bruce stood and clapped on as Mia and Gerk smiled at him. If it wasn't for him, they wouldn't have gotten the wedding underway. With that, he waited till both the bride and groom headed outside. He sighed as he went out and the sun was shining down on the pair. It seemed so perfect. Only when Mia motioned him to get in for a photo did Bruce finally smiled.

Felix and Lance sighed, and got up with a resigned, tired look. "I hate weddings," Felix muttered. "They're so gushy, and everyone always cries." Lance shrugged and collected the guitar. "Meh. If you were the groom for once, you'd feel a little better about it," he said. "Maybe, but months of preparation and planning, cakes, having to deal with annoying soon-to-be bridesmaids would still get on my nerves," Felix replied.

They gave a warm smile to the newly weds and set up the instruments, amps, and microphone. Felix did a quick sound check ("1, 2, syphilis. 2, 3, syphilis.) and waited for the reception to begin.

Jay and Jeremy stood up as the wedding ended. They were very happy for the newlywed couple and their faces showed the fact. Jay commented first. "Did you hear what the preacher said?" he asked Jeremy.
"Yeah, I did... I was pondering about the 'month' comment," Jeremy replied, "What d'you think he meant by it?"
"Hm... It did take a month in 'real' time... maybe the people here notice the flow of time is slowed and don't mind it?" he thought audibly, "But it's best not to delve too deep into it, as to not spoil the--er, never mind."
"Yeah, good idea. Now where's that reception?" Jeremy asked, trying to change the subject.
"How should I know? I can't see anything around here because it's just te--" Jay stopped himself, albeit a bit too late, "Whoops, there I go again... uh, let's go ask someone," he suggested.
"Sounds like a plan, but who to ask? Or can we just assume we know where it is and say something like *goes to reception area*?" Jeremy rambled thoughtfully.
"...I guess we could do that... wait, what?"
"Oh, nothing... uh, lets just look around for it. It shouldn't be too far away from here," Jeremy suggested quickly.
"Uh, m'kay, let's go," Jay replied agreeingly. With that, they began searching for the room where the reception was to be held.

((Sorry for the long time without a post, but I figured there wasn't really much we could do... wait, "we"? Erm, anyway, so yeah, now that the wedding's winding down and the reception's starting, more things should open up, so we'll be checking back regularly... hm, there I go with that "we" again...))
