Pulling the phone away from his ear as Ema yelled at him for a second, Phoenix widened his eye in start, ignoring Zeth's snarky grin beside him. Bringing the phone back to his ear when she quietened of, Phoenix's face went slightly limp.

"I'm going to have Glimmer Boy drop me off soon. If there's science to be done anyways." Ema said. Phoenix sweat dropped, his ears still ringing from answering the phone. That was the problem with caller ID...

"I'm not sure what you two are going to find there," Phoenix admitted, "It's MUCH easier to find evidence when a crime has been committed, but one hasn't been yet so you may not find anything straight off. You're just going to have to listen to what your client says, and make your best with what leads he gives you. Zeth is doing some research on the painting now. He..." Popping over Zeth's shoulder, Zeth was looking at an article on a Prosecutor he had seen once or twice, Prosecutor Alexander Kraus. He was a lawyer based out in Germany, that much he knew, and he also seemed to be the heir to Kraus group, the owner of the gallery. Scanning through the article in interest, Zeth smiled.

"Tell the foghorn that I think I've found something for her Fop to do if he wants to help. I'd LOVE it if he could chat with this guy about anything." Chuckling, Zeth gave Phoenix a sideways glance, "Although I hope that Gavin can be just as charming with men as he can with the ladies."

"Pardon?" Phoenix asked, turning flush in the face as he pulled the phone away from his mouth, "What are you implying?"

"Kraus is into men that are just like Klavier," Zeth responded looking back at his screen, "He puts up a front with all the women he hangs off his arms, but I know for a fact that he's not interested in any of them."

"For a fact?" Phoenix raised his eyebrow in suspicion, "Have you experienced his... interest?" Zeth glanced at him with a horrified look for a moment before crossing his arms across his chest.

"I'd rather not talk about that right now, actually," Zeth snapped back with a red face, "Lets just say that as long as he remains in the public eye, then you should be able to talk some useful information out of him. I personally would rather not talk to him."

"Oh..." Bringing the phone back to his ear, Phoenix wasn't sure how to put it, "Mind if I speak to Klavier, Ema?"

((OK- I've never drawn him hot enough, but Kraus is a Prosecutor who also happens to be a model, like Klavier is a rockstar. His family is actually VERY rich with old money, so when I say he's hot, he's like... got the chiselled face and the smooth glance and stuff. Classic handsome features... um... done a search and if you see a picture of Axel Herman- imagine him with slicked back blond hair and that's Kraus. Lets make him 27 for this RP :D ))

((My not as hot version of him T.T I gotta work on giving him more hot quota XD

"Sure," Zeth replied, turning to Wocky, "And say hi to your pops for m--"

"WARNING. DANGER WILL ROBINSON. WARNING. DANGER WILL ROBINSON. WARNING. DANGER WILL..."

As Zeth answered yet another call, Karmi accompanied Pearl and Wocky to the door. Pearl was still a bit hesitant, but Karmi tried to assure her. "Don't worry; it'll be fine," she whispered. "Just call us if there's trouble." After a wink and a nudge, Pearl and Wocky finally started walking together to the bakeshop. "Have fun, you two! See you later!" she waved.

Karmi returned to the kitchen and plucked a cookie from the jar before sitting beside Trucy.

"Looks like things are getting exciting," she chuckled, watching Zeth pull all sorts of expressions as he tried to reason with Ema. "So, I guess this means I'll be tagging along." She took her time munching on the cookie as she looked at Trucy from head to toe. "Hmm... Maybe we should get you changed into something nice," she said, taking her by the hand. "Come on."

[Hope this is okay with you, Angel. :) Phoenix is pretty busy at the moment.]

((Sorry ^^; Zeth was getting sick of being yelled at XD If Klavier or someone decides to talk to Kraus, does someone want to RP him? I can give you a bit of info about him and some background info that would be handy. Otherwise, I don't even know if Kraus knows anything about the forgery. He's the heir, but not the owner of the gallery. He happens to be friends with Zeth though, which is why he's aware of him.))

((The other good person to talk to him is Miles >.> Donno how far Phoenix would get with him. Kraus responds best to 'simmerous' types XD ))

Client? People? What the hell was Mr. Wright talking about? Unless he'd misinterpreted her, that is. Giving him a bit of leway considering how much 'grape juice' the man drank, Ema twirled her hair out of a nervous habit. Even on the phone, she managed to sway her glance to the side, still pretty annoyed by the whole situation. Stupid glimmerous idiot and his stupid equally annoying flimmerous stupid Gantspawn. "I meant dropping me off at your place."

There was quite a bit of background noise from what she could tell, only getting Phoenix's "Pardon," and a request for her to turn over the phone to the egotistical man sitting a few feet away from her. Slipping her Bag Of Science off her shoulder to rest on the floor until she actually had to leave, Ema practically threw her phone at Klavier, huffing and crossing her arms.

[I think you're the best person to RP Kraus, Ark. By the way, I was thinking that Miles, Kay, and Gumshoe would be at the gallery. Maybe Zeth & Co. drag him in to help somehow? Or maybe he was already chatting with Kraus. XDD Oh, we shall see. >8D]

Klavier had risen to go and start up his hog, as requested, when
a phone was hurled in his direction. It seemed Ema couldn't give him any warning when her 'orders' changed. Ah, one of her many...quirks. Barely managing to catch it, he gave Ema a quizzical expression before holding it up to his ear. He was half afraid of getting an earful for wanting to take part, but from what he'd gathered, it was now Herr Wright on the phone, not Ema's irritable boss. "Herr Wright?"

Glancing at Zeth who was continuing to lay the punishment down on his laptop keys, Phoenix raised his brows in helplessness, "Apparently Kraus Group own the gallery, and Zeth suggested that you could talk to the owner's son, see if you can get some information out of him."

"Kraus?" The name sounded familiar, but Klavier couldn't quite put any faces to it. Well, it seemed that Phoenix and Zeth were okay with him helping on the sidelines, which was still definitely more interesting than just being on his own with his music. He did love it, but this was...adventure. "That name sounds familiar," he mused, his free hand's fingers tapping against his side. "I suppose I could do that. I don't know any details about this investigation yet though," he added, smiling pointedly at Ema. "Ema's not really told me anything."

Phoenix smiled, relaxing back onto the couch, "I'd rather Zeth give you the instructions on the case since he's already researching ALOT of things that I don't know how ties to the case," Glancing aside, Phoenix looked at the time, "Meet you both at my house? Oh, and one more thing..." Pausing to himself, he wondered if it REALLY mattered what Klavier wore. He was going to look like a rockstar what ever he wore. Just incase though... "Um, wear something nice? I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that thoguh."

Klavier hummed his understanding and nodded, even though he was on the phone. "Okay." Hearing Phoenix's last sentence, he grinned, shaking his head and gesturing at himself as if he could see it. "I always wear something nice, Herr Wright. See you soon, ja?" He paused to give Phoenix a chance to say goodbye too before flipping the phone shut and tossing it back at Ema. "Come on then, fräulein. Time to go."

Phoenix said good bye to Klavier, and hung up the phone, leaning against Zeth shoulder with a thoughtful look.

"You didn't tell him completely what he was in for," Zeth observed, still hammering away as his keys, "Do you underestimate Klavier's confidence in his own sexuality?"

"Well... I'm not sure," Phoenix responded, "You give me the impression that this Kraus guy is a little more influential than your average fan girl. I thought we should debrief him about it in person." Zeth stopped typing, and turned to Phoenix.

"He's ALOT more influential than your average fangirl, Wright. Kraus could destroy BOTH of Klavier's careers just because he wouldn't... give him pleasure." Glancing aside, Zeth's nose flared, as if he were recalling a memory, "He deserves to know what he's up against."

"I know," Phoenix agreed, "I'm sure he'll be fine though. He's been tested alot lately, and he's come through still strong and confident. I'm positive that Klavier will blow this man away with his charm and find out what you need to know." Grinning, Phoenix flipped Zeth's phone over to him, "Call him yourself if you wish?"

"Nar," Zeth replied, "I don't think it'll phase him anyway," searching the screen before him, Zeth pushed his glasses back up his nose, "I might give Klavier a pager even still. I have a feeling that Kraus is going to manage to get Klavier alone."

Phoenix narrowed his eyes, looking into the kitchen intensely as Zeth said this. I'm a little worried about this...

After finishing a cookie or five and another glass of milk, Trucy felt quite left out and curious about all of this talk about the museum and a person named Kraus and the Angel Star painting. Hopping out of her seat, she walked up to Phoenix and asked, "Um, Daddy, what exactly are we going to do today? Are we going to that museum that you've all been talking about? And what about Ema and Klavier? They're coming over too, right?"

I've been away for far too long.
So long, in fact, that all of my signatures now exist behind a paywall.
Bummer.

"We sure are!" Phoenix smiled, shifting over to the other side of the couch, so he cuddle his daughter and not have her get in the way of Zeth's research. Offering a spot on his lap, Phoenix nodded, "Ema and Klavier are on their way here now. Zeth and Ema are going to be meeting p with their client, and I believe that Klavier is going to help out also by questioning one of their trickier informants." Leaning closer Phoenix smiled, "It's a public gallery though, so I thought we could come along and keep an eye out too. The artist has some pretty impressive art. I think you and the other girls will like it."

Karmi lazily lolled her head on her shoulder to face Trucy. "Well, there are some paintings which look alike but are slightly different from one another. Like, they have the same subject matter. van Gough had a whole collection of sunflower paintings and a couple of them look pretty identical."

Time to go? Good. She was getting sick of Klavier throwing looks at her and having to throw her own back, Ema snatched up her phone once more, picking up her bag and heading to the door. Not really bothering to wait for him, she started to the elevator, holding the door open with a foot.

Having to rush after Ema, Klavier locked the door hurriedly behind him before catching up in time to punch the elevator button an sling an arm around Ema's shoulders as it arrived and they stepped in. "Why so hasty, fräulein? Looking forward to your date?"

Before Wocky could answer, Zeth had to take another call. He saw Karmi coming up to them and whispered something to Pearl, but he didn't know what it was about.

When she saw them off, he replied, "Alright, I'll bring 'er back later."

As they started to walk down the steps and onto the street, he started to head to the bakery.

"Don't worry", Wocky said to Pearl, "It's not far from here. Just a block or two away."

He then went silent for a moment, and then asked, "So, uh... You're from a village? I don't remember being any villages around here..."

Date? Date? DATE? UGH! Ema couldn't fathom enduring an hour or more with Zeth probably literally breathing down her neck. "It's NOT a DATE!" She frowned, resisting the urge to shrug his arm off. At least she weight was going to keep her from jittering as the elevator started. "It's torture."

Klavier couldn't help but grin at that. "That's good to hear." At least he didn't need to worry about Ema running off to elope with Zeth while he attended to his part of the investigation. "Not that I wish for you to endure the torture," he added hastily, using the elevator's doors opening as an excuse to vacate the immediate striking area around Ema. his arm slipped off her shoulders as he strode across the lobby and to the doors, holding them open for her with a smile.

Slipping through with just enough sound as a "HMPH", Ema closed her labcoat over herself, feeling oddly out of her element in an outfit that wasn't practical and somewhat simmerous, or at least professional. Slipping her glasses out of her purse and onto her head, tension alleviated almost automatically, Ema wasted little time in getting the embarrassment of putting on one of Klavier's stupid helmets, waiting for the naturally slow rockstar on his stupid, glimmerous, loud, annoying, uncomfortable motorcycle."

Swinging a leg over the bike, Klavier looked back to make sure that Ema was on safely before putting on his own helmet and kicking out the stand from under the bike. He revved a few times, as he usually did mostly for show, before reaching back to wind Ema's arms around him tightly before they shot off in the direction of Phoenix's house. At his usual, very nearly unlawful speed, they should get there in about...ten minutes?

[[xD My forensics unit just finished up a full lab analysis for authenticating paintings and weeding out forgeries today to back up our exam/set of labs, so I'm kinda psyched for this as in A LOT.]]

Making sure that her bag wouldn't fall off during the ride, and hating every spare moment of the whole experience, Ema managed to keep her colorful comments below a shout, obviously disapproving of Klavier's driving and a whole bunch of other things. She'd have to give him an earful later, Ema could place her hands around him and hate herself for it by herself thank you very much. Thankfully, the ride wasn't very long and the bike screeched to a halt.

"Oh, I get it..." Trucy replied, nodding. But if there really are two of these in different places and both are real, then what's so suspicious about the whole matter? And who is this Kraus fellow that everyone's been talking about?"

"Alexander Kraus is the son of the gallery owner," Zeth responded, eyes still fixed to his laptop screen as his fingers flew over the keyboard, "You have a wireless keyboard somewhere, Wright? I have the blue print of the museum. I'd like to print out the building layout." Pausing for a moment, Zeth glanced back to Trucy, "And it's suspicious because our client says it's a forgery. Any further than that, and I'll be speculating."

"Nothing wrong with an educated guess," Phoenix said thoughtfully, "Guessing can turn into leads, as long as you can back up your guess with fact and make it a theory. It's how most good mysteries are solved. There's a wireless printer in my room, Zeth."

"Cheers," Zeth grinned, flicking a few keys on this laptop, and slamming the enter key with a smirk, "The gallery is likely a front to one of their bases, so we can't take the government layout too seriously. It's a start though." Watching Zeth scoot off to grab the print out, Phoenix crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes seriously,

"And that is ALSO an educated guess," Phoenix stated firmly, not sure if Zeth words worried Trucy and Karmi, "Zeth has no proof that the whole of Kraus group is corrupt. That's what he's trying to prove." Glancing aside, Phoenix frowned as Zeth returned with the layout.

"Well," Zeth said firmly, "Till Ema gets here, it'll be difficult to build a game plan, so we'll just have to play the waiting game..."

"This is gonna be fun," Karmi thought with a grin as she snuck behind Zeth. He was pretty tall, though, so she ended up hopping in trying to steal a peek of the blueprint.

She wasn't worried at all. In fact, she saw this as an exciting adventure. Ever since Phoenix hired her off the bat, she hasn't really done much around the office except clean up after Ema's Snackoo barrage. She didn't know much about the mafia, and there wasn't any concrete proof that the situation is a dangerous one. This combination of the unknown probably made it all the more appealing to her. And if it all turned out to be nothing, at least she'd still get to see some great art. It'd be nice for the whole gang to go out once in a while, after all. To her, everything was just one big field trip.

Ema found herself wishing she'd walked, either that or wishing for the fastest exit possible off of this stupid monstrous, loud, obnoxious foppish pig or whatever he called it, getting off as soon as possible. Leaving Klavier behind to take care of their helmets and the locks and whatnot wasn't really a big moral issue, but she did do him a favor in NOT kicking the thing. She'd already have to contend with his obnoxious 'wait, Fraulein!' s and childish pouting. Marching her way to Mr. Wrights door and popping open a fresh bag of Snackoos, Ema rapped lightly on the door. Truthfully, she wanted to kick a hole in it, but it was Mr. Wright's door.

Trucy nodded as both Zeth and Phoenix explained the situation. Then, hearing a knock on the door, she got up from her seat and headed to the front door. Opening it, she found Ema, loudly munching on her usual chocolate Snackoos, a slightly pissed-off look on her face. "Oh, hi, Ema!" Trucy greeted with her small grin. "Come on in! Daddy and Zeth and Karmi are inside, so why don't you head to the living room first?"

I've been away for far too long.
So long, in fact, that all of my signatures now exist behind a paywall.
Bummer.

Watching Trucy dash off for the door, Zeth sighed, grabbing a highlighter from nearby to plot out problem areas. Ema was here in record time. What she had to do to Klavier to achieve that he didn't know. She worried him though. She didn't sound like she was in a good mood. Again. He didn't have a clue how Klavier stood her excessive aggression to the world. Perhaps she dropped the act when they were in bed? Or perhaps love was deaf as well as blind...

"Here," Zeth handed Karmi the plans, noticing her trying to look at them, "See if you can spot the hidden staircase downstairs for me." Getting up off the couch, he didn't mean to ditch the group, but he wanted to get to the door to meet up with Klavier. Ema knew how to do her job, but he wasn't fully debriefed. He just hoped that Klavier was as confident as he lead others to believe. He sure felt he could do the job...

"...Ema!" Shaking his head to himself with a wry smile, Klavier placed the helmets carefully into the compartment on the back of his bike before kicking the stand down and locking it. Looking up at the building, he could already tell that Ema had arrived - he could hear her stomping, probably from an open window. Sauntering into the building, Klavier hooked his thumbs into his waistband, thankful that he remembered the way to Phoenix's apartment from a previous visit. Pausing only for a moment before rapping his ringed knuckles on the door, Klavier smiled brightly as Zeth opened the door. "Guten morgen, Herr Gant."

"Guten morgen back," Zeth smiled, motioning Klavier in, "Sorry for the awakening. I didn't expect Ema to be with company. Otherwise I would've waited for a later time- possibly when she was more available to talk to." Glancing to the side, Zeth slipped his hands into his pockets thoughtfully, "I hope I didn't interrupt anything... personal. I thought that Miss Skye would want to know about this case urgently since she's been asking me about getting work for a while now." Looking back, Zeth frowned, "It's been difficult to find leads lately, so it's pretty important that this case goes through smoothly." Adopting a grin then, Zeth motioned Klavier to follow him in, "That's all nonsense stuff though. How have you been? I hear that you're nearly finished your solo album?"
