Phoenix's heart nearly stopped. She planted more than one of those device, he thought. If she detonated it now.... "Franziska, are you mad?!" he shouted. "If you disturb any more of this cavern, the whole place will collapse!" He couldn't risk that, not with Maya, Mia, Pearls and Larry probably still in here. He'll have to stall for time right now.

"Alright, Franziska. You've called my bluff. The magatama, it's located in the last chamber." It was a full on lie, but he had to keep her from pressing the button, at least until he's sure that the others are out of danger here.

Mia opened the back hatch on the van. "Come on, shovel, bucket, mop, anything!!" She looked at all the stuff in the back of the van. "Okay, or all three. Maya! Your opinion! Should we try using a shovel, a mop, a bucket, an ice pick, or..." Mia's mouth dropped open as her eyes fell on something that should have never been in the van. "CHARLIE!!! And who the heck put these cacti in here?!?!"

Phoenix narrowed his eyes. "Follow me," he said, pushing passed Franziska and leading her back the way he came. He didn't spot Larry or Pearls anywear, so hopefully they made it out without incident. He carefully reached into his pocket, switching the walkie back on, without raising the volume. He wanted to make sure Mia and the others know he was okay at the moment. "So how did you find out about our excursion, Franziska?" He said, holding his tumb down on the button, allowing them to listen in.

If she said anything about her employer, they would keep her far away from the actual site. Phoenix was too concerned about 'family heirlooms,' and any hint of a potential threat would keep him from showing her the jewel.

Mia looked from Charley to the Cacti. "Damn. I'm gonna kill whoever brought the plants." She muttered just then the walkie talkie went off again. "Hmmm? What?" She could barely make out what she thought was a former student. A rather painful one too. "Revenge?"
What the heck? What is going on here? She thought If Fransiska vonKarma is involved, then what is going on? She picked up the shovel.

Mia ran back to the rock slide with the shovel. *pink* She hit the rocks, a couple slid down. *pink pink* A couple more slid down, creating a very small opening at the top. She scrambled up the small mountain and tried to look over. Nobody, was there. I hope I'm not too late... She brought up the shovel and tried to get some of the rocks to fall the other way.

(So wonderful that the old-new-only forum is back and running. I also plan on setting up a discussion thread up for ooc comments as well as ideas on how to make this RP even better.)

Miles Edgeworth, Phoenix thought camly. It would make since he wouldn't be far off if Franziska was here. He eyed the piece Edgeworth was pointing at him. It wouldn't do for him to get hurt at the moment. However, he was sure that Mia and the others would know if his situation by now. He pulled out the walkie and tossed it over to Edgeworth.

"Anyone else you'd like to invite to the party, Edgeworth?" he replied, showing some bravado even in this dire situation. Phoenix then once more lead the way back through the chambers. Chief, whatever happens, just make sure to get Maya, Pearls, and Larry out of here.

Mia watched as some more rocks tumbled down the pile the explosion earlier created. Thank God! She thought. Maybe now I can fit through... she crawled up the rock pile and started to slide through feet first. She laughed a little. Take that Karma-face! Then suddenly she wasn't moving any further. Oh... eff...
... Her boobs were just a little too big for the space she made.

((Bwahaha... I had to do that...*is shot at by Mia* Okay, I'll get cha out...))
Mia rolled her eyes. Damn it. She bent over backwards and used her hands to pull herself back through. Finally back on the side she started on, she picked up the shovel. Well, I was going to need this anyways... She quickly got rid of some of the rocks and got to the other side with no problems. Shovel in hand, she started back to the main chamber.

Not far from where our current adventure was, a lone girl was trekking through the Medium Valley at top speed. She had naught but the items in her white bag and the clothes on her back, and a mission.
"HELLOOOO?" she cried once, speeding through the valley, "Niiiiick?"

Still she ran, waiting for an answer, and a young man. Finally, the girl came across a van, situated near a rocky dwelling. Once she reached the van, she inside around to find another girl, not much older then herself. 'Scientifically speaking, probably a year older,' our confused girl thought. Knocking on the glass, she blurted out, "Hello, I'm *pant pant* Ema Skye! *pant* Do you know a *pant* Phoenix Wright? *pant*"

((I'm sure the question on everyone's mind is, does Ema call Phoenix 'Nick'? Unfortunately, I don't have my 1-5 handy, so I couldn't really check. Hmph.

"Ah. I see..." Mia remembered Miles Edgeworth vaguely for some reason, not that she could readily pick him out and realize who he was. "Well Mr. Edgeworth. I can't very well surrender if I don't know what I have to surrender. As of right now, I don't know what you might need so badly that I currently have." Mia said into the walkie talkie. "Unless, of course, you want a cactus." She realized a second later that now wasn't a good time to joke and made a mental not to cut the crap. Mia took a couple steps in the general direction of the place where the original group had parted, listening for any sign of Pearls, Larry, or anybody else.

"A you are aware of, I'm more than just a simple teacher here at Ivy University. I've also been excavating certain historical site for the museums sake. There is this one particular item I need to find for the exhibit's grand opening at Lordy Taylor. The Magatama of Ami Fey. Are you aware of the history of the Fey Clan, dear brother?"

Perfect, Phoenix thought. I could us this distraction to get the gun, and the detonator away from the two of them. Who to take on first, though? Well, Edgeworth would be the obvious choice, since he had a gun on him. He'd have to be quick, if he wanted to catch them both off guard.

He slowly moved his hand toward his whip, then quickly lashed out a strike at Edgeworth's armed hand, then in a second sling, he wrapped the end of the whip around Franziska's ankle to try and trip her up.

Klavier's ice-blue eyes sparkled. "Now we're talking!" He strummed aimlessly on an imaginary air guitar, not aware of how foolish he looked. He reclined in the leather armchair, sighing inaudibly. "Actually, I'm not all that familiar with the Feys. Care to fill me in? And how about a drink?" Klavier grinned.

After pouring for him and his brother, he set the bottle away. "The Feys are a clan of spirit mediums, dating back near 405 A.D. in Japan. It was first created by a woman by the name of Mystic Ami Fey, the first Master of the Kurain Spirit Channeling Technique. I'm afraid I cannot explain what this technique is, since the Feys are fiercely protective about their secrets. Anyway, it was writen that when Mystic Ami died, her body was then cremated and place inside a sacred urn, and kept by the main family to this very day.

"Now, I have reason to believe that this creamation was a fascade by Mystic Ami, to hide her true remains so it would not be disturbed. The reason, is this." He showed Klavier a photograph of a jewel, shaped like a 9. "Her Magatama, a sacred treasure to every Kurain Spirit Medium, and hers is considered the most powerful." He remained quite for a few seconds, to allow this to sink in with his brother.

Reacting on instinct after hearing the first crack, Franziska moved out of the whip's range and threatened to lash her own. "Mr. Phoenix Wright, how foolishly foolish of your foolery to try and fool a von Karma. I warned you of the consequences," she pulled out the transmitter, "so I would try and warn your little friends before something happens to them!"

Edgeworth picked up his gun after it was lashed out of his hand.
"Wright, did you seriously think you could trick us like that? Franziska and I were raised by Manfred von Karma, after all. Franziska, maybe you could remove Wright's unhelpful whip? "

"No!" Phoenix shouted, an without think lunged for Franziska, attempting to grab the transmitter before she had a change to activate it. He wasn't even aware of the face that Edgeworth had retrieved his gun. He didn't care however. All he wanted to do was make sure That Mia and the others get out of here safely.

Franziska lashed out at Phoenix, hitting him square in the chest, but dropped the transmitter and accidentally stepped on it. "No! You fool!" She struck Phoenix again, then a few more times for good measure, before taking away his own whip.
((See! I TOLD you we should have an epic whip battle! ^^))
