Migoto rushed and heard Grant coming back. She had to hide quickly! After giving Chase a quick kiss she slid into a hiding spot and peeked over. 'Hurry up, Sylvester!' she thought, 'I really need help!'

Meanwhile, Markus sat in his car, phone in hand. He dialed Yuui, and hoped the Thug would pick up.

"Come on, I need to know where your new guy is taking those two. This is my target..." He muttered as he waited, the phone ringing.

Chase smiled stupidly as Grant entered the room, twirling his cane and whistling a tune. "Oh, you're awake, buddy! Good to see that. I was starting to get bored." He swung the cane and it went upside Chase's head, who managed to stay awake. "Ow, dude! Stop that! It's getting pretty old," he growled, but Grant simply laughed. "Hey, I gotta say, though, Chase. Your girl is smoking hot. Legs that go one for miles, that hair..." He grinned. "I would do terrible things to that girl, lemme tell you." Chase struggled against his binding. "I'm gonna rip your head off! Get over here, I'll kick the hell out of you!" he yelled, but Grant simply walked away chuckling.

"Oh Markus!" Yuui answered with fake surprise, "You're not dead~!"

Migoto waited until Grant was far enough away to come back to chase. She motioned for Chase to 'zip his lips' so the villain didn't know she was there. Continuing to pick the lock, she worked as quietly as she possibly could. Every few seconds, she would check to see if Grant was back.

There was laughter from a window above Grant. "Dude, you've got some serious issues." Called the light man, Gary Sweet. "Raised by wolves, methinks?" The man jumped down incredibly nimbly and giggled. "What the heck is with that cane? You're not having problems with your back are you, Grandpa?"

Chase wiped some blood from his lip and smiled. "Man am I glad to see you here, Migoto. I hate that guy..." he mumbled. "But why didn't you wait for Sylvester before you came? You could have been hurt."

Grant glared at the new arrival. "Tigers, actually. Who the hell are you?" he asked, gripping his cane tightly. "How'd you get here? What do you want?"

Migoto shushed Chase and continued her work. She wiggled the wire furiously. She's picked locks before.... Why was this one so hard? Eventually, she heard a satisfying click. 'Yes!' after freeing Chase, she pulled him to her hiding spot and kissed him. "I'm so glad you're okay!" she whispered.

Grant laughed. "Sweeeeeet! How many are you? One, two... five of you! Perfect." He took off his trench coat, revealing a black vest. "Come on, then! I wanna see it."

Grant roared in fury. "TWICE?! That's it." He reached down and pulled Migoto up by the hair, shoving his pistol under her chin forcefully. "One more step! Just one more move, please, I'm beggin' you! Chase, you wanna say something?" he asked, turning them both around. Chase growled. "No! Let her go!"

Sylvester didn't need to take another step, as Enzo suddenly won $550. Whilst Enzo began shouting and gathering up all of his newly-earned cash, the light and sound coming from the slot machine was enough of a distraction for Sylvester to raise the Conductor and zap the pistol straight out of Grant's hand. It would give Migoto a tiny shock, but there was such thing as a bigger picture. The magazine fell straight into Chase's lap.

Chase stared dumbly at the gun before picking it up immediately and aiming right at Grant's heart. He approached and snatched Migoto towards him, gun trained. Grant smiled crookedly and held his hands up. "Very good. Whatcha gonna do now, Chase? Shoot me?" Chase cocked the gun, staring daggers at him. "I should," he said flatly. Grant chuckled darkly. "But you won't. You won't shoot me. You can't. I know you can't. You're predictable. And stupid." He snatched the gun from his hands and shot Chase in the arm. Suddenly, he sprinted to the backdoor, running out and laughing like a hyeena. "See you 'round, guys!"

Chase clutched the wound in disbelief. "Go! Go get him," he choked.

"What? Where is the..." Markus said, looking at the phone. He sighed as he threw the phone into the passenger's seat. Looks like he'll have to find this one on his own. He drove off, trying to trace the motorcycle's trail.

Migoto felt rage build up inside of her. He was going to pay. "Fix him!" she yelled at Sylvester before chasing after Grant. When she caught up to him, she pile-drived him a linebacker. Reacting quickly, she got up and kicked the gun out of his hand and stepped on it.

Grant gripped her leg and threw it up, pushing her into the side of the building forcefully. "Give it up. I'm outta here," he whispered menacingly, running like an Olympic sprinter into the highway, leaping onto the hood of a car and balancing shakily. The wind blew threw his hair and he couldn't help but smile. He'd be back.

Chase clutched his arm and seethed. "I'm gonna kill him, I swear!" he said, but stopped. No, he wouldn't. He couldn't. Grant was right. He slumped down to the ground.

Essa turned the corner as Rose helped Migoto up. Grant would be back alright. But not before a quick trip to the hospital. Essa aimed and fired, the bullet from the Colt revolver embedding itself within Grant's knee. Perfectly on target.

Grant shouted out in pain, clutching his knee. "Son of a- Damnit!" he pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number, despite his difficulty seeing through the pain. "Quin-Dao!" he began. "Bring everyone! And the special kit." Quin-Dao was his head monk back from Tibet who had come with him to America. They had a backup lair in case the casino was compromised, so Grant began to hobble over there.

She walked in and saw Chase and started to cry. "I let him go!" she yelled as she collapsed, "I let him get away! But I'm going to kill him. He'll pay for this..."

Chase wanted to say something, but couldn't. He was defeated. He knew neither he nor Migoto could go through with killing him and he knew it. He said nothing, just holding her close and trying to ignore the intense pain in his arm.

"No!" Sylvester shouted, whacking the needle away. "He's already had his fair share of that! Any more and he'll be in an even worse state."
"But..." Essa started, struggling to find grounds for an argument.
Gary looked at Sylvester and nodded. "He's right. We'll have to get him out of here as he is."

With that a car drove up at high speeds, slamming to a halt in front of them. Markus got out of the car, clearly angry and armed with his revolver.

"Where the he'll is he? Where the he'll is he?!" He pointed his gun at Chase.

Migoto got up and ran outside. She was a terrible rescuer! The guy got away and Chase got hurt! She couldn't forgive herself. At least when she was being rescued, all she got was a cut on the cheek. Chase got shot in the arm!

Migoto just sat outside, crying. Her head hurt, her rib hurt, she felt useless, and Chase was badly injured. She thought about all she did, which wasn't much. It was mostly Sylvester and the gang. She may be a good thief, but she was a terrible rescuer. "I-I should just stick to the 2 things I'm good at... Stealing stuff and being pretty."

"I won't though. You and your girlfriend may be my target after her brother showed his colors. But this new guy is my target for now."
