"Ok, Tori ((That's what you want yourself to be called, right?)), Let's go and try to use that cart! I wonder if I can do it though..." Nego said and took the sweat out of his forehead. He wasn't really sweatting because of exhaustion, but for the thought of getting himself sweat. He climbed up and started to swing the lever. "I wonder if your mother and brother are joining us too, Tori," he said.

Yuki squinted her eyes and looked into the tunnel ahead. She could feel her hair flying back as the cart began to move. Yuki clutched her ruby necklace as the minecart swiftly moved forward into the darkness...

((I want to clear this up again: there's only ONE cart. It's a minecart--not a go-cart--and a really big cart that fits everybody. You know, the kind you see in old mines, or at least old mines in cartoons and video games. I feel bad because I'm kind of denying everyone's reality here, but if everyone's grabbing their own cart, it's gonna get confusing. Oh, and by the way, the carts are on tracks, so they're not supposed to go "out of control" or anything...except maybe at the end :hotti:

Yuki braced herself as the minecart sped up. Her hair was flapping furiously from the speed, and the wind rushing by her provided a chill. Despite her natural resistance to the cold, Yuki shivered, perhaps out of slight anxiousness at both the cart’s speed and what they would find when it stopped. Tightening her grip on her ruby necklace, Yuki lightly held on to Ryu the Kid’s precious Magical Amphy, Evan, with her free hand. Even with Ryu absent, Evan’s presence gave Yuki the same slight reassurance that she would have if Ryu were here.

((Ryu, out of curiosity, when do you expect to reappear?))

Since there was no point in pumping the lever anymore, Ryan went and sat next to Yuki. "Well, there's not much we can do, so let's enjoy the ride!" he exclaimed.

((I had to make the storyline that way because now I have to go through a lot of paperworks, I need to concentrate on defendants' statements))

As fast as the cart could go, it seems to still maintain its stability and balance thanks to Evan.

"My soul's with Evan, as I need to recharge myself" Ryu whispered but no one could really notice it because of the whooshing sound of the wind around them as the cart zipped deeper into the tunnel~

Yuki thought that she heard a familiar voice coming from Evan for a moment, but quickly dismissed it as sounds of the wind…and despite the chill she felt, that whispery wisp of wind somehow relaxed her a bit.

The cart picked up speed, which blew Yuki's hair loose. Free from the bind of her ponytail, her unruly curls flew about her head in a nearly blinding mess.

As Ryan sat down next to her, Yuki nearly jumped up out of shock. “W-what do you mean, ‘the cart’s going too fast and has no brake’?!” Her relaxation zapped away quite quickly and she began to panic. “What are we going to do? What are we going to do?!?”

Yuki began shaking in fear.

As Todog stood by, the cart whizzed past him, fluttering his clothes in the process. "... Eh?" He thought as he noticed that his dad and two other people were in the cart. "...Is that the brake lying on the floor?" He thought as he picked up a long rusted metal lever, apparently torn off something. "Better give it to 'em" he thought as he began to run towards the cart.

Fortunately for em, Todog managed to pass the lever to Ryan. Just as Ryan grabbed the lever, the cart moves further, disconnecting the two of em apart. Now it depends on Ryan for the next action to be done.

"I need... more time....." Ryu the Kid said to ownself, as they need full force to face the next upturning events.

Or Ryu's soul could shatter shall Ryu appears before getting fully recharged.

((Hey everybody. Making a quick post OOC. I found some pictures from Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures; a couple of them have a minecart in the picture.

As you can see Pac-Man has to pump the cart to make it go. This is what I imagined when I thought of the cart, only much bigger--big enough to fit everyone in, anyway. Also note that this cart doesn't have a brake either. I really can't find a more accurate picture to show what I think the minecart looks like. And since I'm now rambling about Pac-Man 2...

Even though this is off-topic, I wanted to show a couple more PM2 shots for the lulz.

So the cart continued the journey hazard-free(ly).

"Hold on people, I am sure the sharp nooks and corners in this tunnel are the ones to be watched out for." Ryu the Kid finally able to make own voice audible, but is still nowhere to be seen. Evan is beaming as the voice vibrates softly from within.

"Be calm, I am still alive and am sure that we can make it through until we reach.... someplace....." Ryu continued as the rest of the family hold on to the cart with their dear life. Evan seemed to be smiling pleasantly with assurance.

Hmmmm... whatever, it is time to ~~fly~~ return~

Ryan looked at what had been tossed to him. It looked like a rusty bar of some sort. "THIS is the treasure Todog and Atlus found!? This isn't worth a cent!" he exclaimed in disappointment, tossing the bar onto the tracks behind them.

"Rausten a-Grado Caellach~" Ryu uttered, gesturing the thumbs and ring finger.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck the rock wall ahead of em and revealed a new path yet to be ventured into.

"You know what, uncle? Often when you show up, things almost tend to go to its bad side of the story....." Ryu retorted at Ryan. Evan is still in Yuki's free hand, now sleeping like a baby, smiling.

“That wasn’t treasure, it was the brake, Ryan,” Yuki sighed, facepalming herself. Noticing the broken wall in front of them, and Evan peacefully sleeping in her hand, she turned around to see Ryu standing behind her in the minecart.

“Ryu…did you just…?” she whispered, trailing off her speech. Finally relaxing, she was able to comprehend what had just occurred, and stood up.

“Th…thank you…” Yuki said warmly, wrapping her arms around Ryu in a hug.

"You're welcome, Yuki." is the reply while Yuki hugs Ryu the Kid, and it gave a sense of nervousness to Ryu. Somehow the feeling managed to subside when Ryu gets a glance at Evan. The moment reminded Ryu of how Jirachi rested in Max's arms after saving Ash Ketchum's teammates in one of the famous anime movies. So the cart continued to whiz into the new opening of the tunnel.... an embark of adventure into the unknown realm which started from a boring walk underneath a couch.....

"Rest your worries, uncle. I still realise what is happening around us." Ryu the Kid replied, smiling calmly at Ryan as Ryu works up an invisible force as to control the cart to stay on the fast, yet, safe track.

"I see that this place is not as narrow as we had imagined... we are venturing into the vast unknown." Ryu continued, least interested on arguing with anyone at the moment as what awaits them ahead would be more captivating than getting on each others' nerves.

And apparently, Evan is not much of a snoozer so The Magical Amphy wakes up and watches over them.... standing by in case anything else happens.

"Oh, Evan's up and ready to rock!" Ryu the Kid joked and continues from where they were before Ryan made the interruption.

No point of threatening anyone here, R_Bond. You might make the Mods lock up our lovely RP

Continuing down the tunnel with a full-powered flashlight, Atlus thinks about how he will remember this adventure. "Hmm, I want to document this adventure..." Out of Nowhere, Atlus pulls out a camcorder and puts it on his waist. "There, I'm all set!" He continues to walk down the tunnel, which keeps on getting darker and darker each step he takes.

"Hmm... I think I packed myself a pair of binoculars before we left," Ryan said. "Maybe we can see how close we are to the end with these." He took the pair of binoculars from his backpack and looked through them. "Dang, I can't see anything. It's too dark."

"Oh, wait, the lens caps were still on." He took them off and looked through the binoculars again. "Ah, much better! Anyway, distance-wise, we're pretty far from the end, but considering how fast we're going, we'll probably get there in about... fifteen seconds. You might want to hold onto something; it's not gonna be a pretty scene when we hit those bumpers."

"...What's that noise?" Atlus looked about to figure out what was making that sound. It was a screeching voice yelling or screaming. Atlus shivering said, "I-I-I a-am of-f-f-f-ficially f-f-f-freaked out!!!" He ran all the way until the thing screaming tackled him. "OH MY GOD!!!! GET OFFF OF MEEEEEEEEE!!!!" Atlus yelled. When Atlus opened his eyes, he saw a little dog with two hairs sticking up, before Atlus said anything, the dog said with his screechy voice, "Objection!" Atlus so surprised said. "Wow, a talking dog...I shall call him, JUSTICE!!!!" Atlus stood up and started walking with the dog. (97 words)

"You know, I never thought about this, but couldn't we manually slow this thing down?" Ryan suggested. "I mean, like one of us could jam something into the ground in front of us to slow us down." He looked around for something to use as the jamming device, but found nothing.

"Dang. I guess I'll be the jammer." He threw his jacket on the floor of the cart and handed his tie to Yuki. "This is my lucky tie, so don't lose it!" Holding onto the cart with his hands, he hopped out of the cart and dug his feet into the ground in front of him.

“R-Ryan! I don’t think that’s a good idea!” Yuki shouted, clutching Ryan’s tie. “You’re going to get hurt! At the speed we’re going you’ll either lose your feet or—or—”

Augh! This would be so much easier if we still had the brake! Yuki thought. “What are we going to do?! What are we going to do?! Ryu, Evan, is there anything you can do?!”

Yuki had to think fast. I can’t wait for them! I have to take action now!

In a moment of desperation, Yuki put on Ryan’s tie and pulled out her ruby necklace. Her face showed determination, and she clasped her hands together as if in prayer. The cavern was filled with a sharp chill. Snow began to pile up on the tracks, and the minecart slowed, the wheels making crunching sounds as they traveled over the snow.

“Ryan! Are you all right?”

"Hey! I've come back with this welding kit and... oh. never mind." Todog said as an enthusiastic smile vanished from his face and his arms fell to his shoulders while holding a flame-retardant mask, welding kit, and the brake. " I can see that you've made your own. That's impressive though, snow falling underground." Todog then began to walk over to the cart and pulled a flashlight out of his pocket and started to make a snow angel. " So cold..."

"Well, I'd say my feet were on fire, but the snow seems to contradict that statement," Ryan said jokingly to Yuki, trying his best to hide the pain he was in. "That was amazing, Yuki! How did you do it, though? I didn't know you had special powers."

Ryan notices that they had arrived at their stop. He sees Todog making a snow angel and smiles.

Yuki smiled shyly. “I… It seems like I shouldn’t be keeping this from you all any longer.” She got out of the minecart and sat on a snowbank. “I come from a land very far to the north. The power to manipulate ice and snow runs in my blood.” She held up her ruby necklace. “My necklace is what holds it.”

“Well…” Yuki bit her lip. “Most of my past is unknown to me, so sometimes, I’d prefer if it doesn’t exist.”

“In Ice Country, the land where I come from, people are…different from people around these parts. I hid my powers so that I’d be more accepted as a member of this community.” She grinned sheepishly. “After all, if someone around here saw me just controlling ice at will, they’d get pretty freaked out, wouldn’t they?”

“As for my necklace… Well, I really don’t know why my power is contained in it. I believe it was my birthmother’s idea to hold our powers in a gem. I suppose it takes less of a toll on the body. But most of my friends have tried to use my necklace, and none of them succeeded.”

“But that’s not all…” she trailed off.

"Damn!" Atlus said running with Justice. "Why is this tunnel so long!!!" Atlus Continued running until he impacted with a wall. "What the...a-a dead end?!?" Justice came panting, and looked at the wall. He put is paws on the wall and kept on pouncing on it. Atlus looked at Justice realizing that this isn't a dead end. Justice was barking "Hold It!" at the wall. "Weird dog, it won't open if you say tha-" Suddenly the wall shattered into dust and a light appeared from far away. Atlus completely surprised said "Wow.........cool dog" After that, Atlus continued running. (99 words)
