"Your words hold enough truth to put the infusion specialists to shame. That's why I preferred the spell casting styles. Much more efficient and they waste less time. Besides. I am sure the people who stole the ruby in question were after something they could do with it, rather than the ruby itself. Apparently, they must have some sort of magic detection system that goes for miles. Either way, they don't know what they are doing and will doom the other spell casters who know what they are doing. Of course, they don't know who's been causing damage to their operations, so yeah I do think they are stupid enough to warrant their destruction." He then gave a slight bow of respect to the other magic user. Removing a glove, he revealed runes that moved along the course of his bloodstream.
"I was caught in a blast that resulted from infusion. The rune magic was burned into my body and yet I lived without a single burn or scratch. It was during an investigation. I am sure you may have heard about the cases of brutally failed infusion, yes?" KT then pulled out a report of the one that affected him and he put the glove back on.
"The only thing capable of absorbing magic is the human body. I am living proof of it."

"You've my attention now. A descendant of the living embodiment of magic, the legendary Darke Sero. Not someone I'd expect to hear about again." He then Looked at Yuki then back at Set.
"Soul Draining and death due to magical infusion. Quite the thing to happen. If you really know what's up, then you'd know that those who attempted to steal the ruby are going to use it as a piece of bait to get Yuki over there so they can summon Darke himself. Seeing as Darke is powerful beyond measure, they probably think he can infuse magic into anything, thus their operations. Now that I am in the presence of a descendant of that spirit, I would have to say... The Rising Darkness is going to rise again and quite possibly bring about the apocalypse. I am no descendant of the Darkness, but I do have the magic he used coursing through my veins from an attempt at infusion. And trust me, I don't want them living to find out."
He then placed a finger on his chin, tapping it for a while. This needed deep thought on the matter. Yuki is in danger and there's very few who can stop the thugs from getting to her. Set was one of them. He knew he had enough power to do what he could and quite possibly more. For now, he kept his stand.

"Heh. Ko wants Darke to work with her. She's deluded in that respect, but restoring Darke to life is accomplishable. More to the point - I know that Ko will attempt to silence everyone in the house who isn't Kazahana. For example, she's summoned a fire djinn (using a soul) to haunt the house - it will return soon. Anyway, a more pressing desire is to protect - as much as I loathe to do it - Kazahana."

"Hmph." He gave a respectable huff to Set.
"Protecting Kazahana's life will be adrenaline-pumping. Although I doubt Darke'll work with Ko. If anything, Darke will just smack Ko around till he feels it's too boring and go back to sleep." Shrugging, he gave no laughter to his remark, because it sounded true to him.

He shook his head - this was a one-way ticket to trouble. He idly wondered who Abigail was. The wind she'd conjured - maybe a wind djinn?

Ryan stood there listening to the two hold a conversation, meanwhile Yuki was on the floor getting paler by the second. The two men mentioned protecting her from someone, among other things. It disturbed him that the two men were so relaxed, like they were hanging out at a park or something. They were saying vulgar things about Yuki, referring to her in terms of value. But their conversation subject was what disturbed him the most.

"Yuki's staying with me. You two can't have her," he announced boldly.

"I don't have any intention of taking her. But if you're going to protect her, you had better be prepared to fight supernatural fiends. I'm pretty sure they're going to roast you in their path if given half a chance. If you think you're up to the task, fine. If not, pray you live. I'm not looking out for you. I am sure you are aware of that."
KT was serious. If one of the fiends did take over him, without a second thought he would just launch a fist full of magical explosive goodness... and pain. Lots of that.

He had used his powers so much he even learned how to cook an egg mid-air and while it was still in its shell.

Kyo Kusanagi (KK) explores the huge home of the whole family's residence. She never expected that she'd be part of the HUUUUUUGGGGGEEEE family and living in a HHUUUUUUGGGGGEEEE home. After walking quite a distance, KK reached the room where there are soooooooooooooooooooo many television sets in it, each with different shows on. She decides to watch TV instead. In one of the shows, strangely enough, she sees..... Ryan? Yuki?? Ryu and Evan.... and other family members???

"This must be Keisuke's satellite transmission, he really can do it all!" KK chuckles to herself. She loves watching action movies.... ESPECIALLY IF IT IS REAL. As to not add trouble to the people who went deeper underground, KK remains watching.. watching.... watching........ from the strange leisure room. Waiting for them to return, too.

Set was laughing at Ryan. He had done the great melodramatic thing with it - hand on his face, putting his head back so his chin became more visible - and it soon died down. He lowered his hand and looked down at Ryan. "You remind me of someone. He said 'I'm not scared of djinn!' then a fire djinn burnt his heart."

"But I'm getting sidetracked. What we're planning is a make-shift plan to prevent Yuki from making a specific mistake. It may not be willingly, but I can't let it happen nevertheless."

((Note that he's 'looking down' at Ryan because I have height reference for Ryan, so I'm assuming Set's slightly abnormal height makes him taller))

Yuki, wobbling and awkward, struggled to her feet. Balancing herself using the arm of an easy chair, she did her best to contribute to the conversation. “Me…the ruby…only me…only I can…” She obviously wasn’t making much progress.

Evan silently floated towards Yuki and took her hand lightly. The two glowed green for a moment, and Yuki felt a surge of energy flow through her. She entered a coughing fit, as Evan began to peacefully slumber. With one final cough, Yuki up-chucked an ice cube, which broke in half upon hitting the floor. The two halves slid towards Set and Ryan’s feet.

Yuki had regained her strength thanks to Evan and was beginning to understand what was going on. “Only I can control the magic within the ruby,” she said. “Other people have tried to use the ice powers within it, including other magic manipulators, and all of them have failed. So, it seems that the only thing in their way right now is the fact that I’m not there to control the power. As long as they don’t have me, they won’t be able to use it. So I guess that means I can’t go with you.”

“It doesn’t make sense to me how they can use a focus of ice magic—of all things—to summon a dark magician,” she continued. “And I still don’t understand why they kidnapped Occlude Wave. Wouldn’t it make more sense to go after me?” Dismissing her last question as rhetorical, she turned to Set and addressed him specifically. “Set. These ‘djinn’ you keep mentioning. What exactly are they? And where did Abigail go…?”

Yuki sunk into the easy chair, her mind full of questions. How can they do this with my ruby? What are the connections between ice powers and a Dark Necromancer? She sighed.

And why do they need me?

"Very well. Here's a nice little lecture. Ice magic is somewhat special. It contains the power to freeze someone when forced to. Very much like a freezer. However, ice magic contains something else - a power, when desperate, to freeze someone's very soul. Like cryogenics, except it's an instant kill that traps the soul in the body. Your ruby is like a security blanket - if the ruby is close to you, your powers will become adgitated. If they tickle it - as in, attack it with spiriutal power - the power will move to return the ruby to you. However, it will kill anything in it's way, and trigger off it's special power - to freeze someone's being."

Set paused. "Darke Sero cannot be channeled via normal means. He requires lots and lots of energy. A frozen soul will provide a starting point, where four to six other souls also become energy to fuel it. It then needs one more person, and the DNA of someone related to him by blood. For example, one of my nail-cuttings and Ko's muscle-man will provide that. But she needs to be near you to freeze the a living body. Say, OW, for example."

He paused again, out of breath. "I do not know where Abigail went - she dissappeared. Djinn is an embodient of fire, wind, earth, or water. Earth and water djinn are rare because they're both equally useless. Fire djinn are the middle - they're just brutes that follow orders. Wind djinn - which Abigail may have become - are the top. They have superior intellect and moderate attaking abilities. They also posses the most solid physical form. They require a soul to become summoned."

Yuki took everything in. “I see. So they need my powers to freeze a soul—in this case, OW—to use as a sacrifice.”

Yuki crossed her legs and folded her hands professionally. “I do not think that Abigail is a djinn,” she declared. “She was, at one point, human, before being buried alive. Also, she not only has the ability to control gusts of wind; she was also causing the walls of the mine to move, and the like. She could, however, provide helpful, though being that she’s a ghost, I’m not sure if she can actually leave this house.”

Yuki thoughtfully twirled a lock of her curly hair. “For now,” she said, looking at the men around her, “it would probably be a good idea to find Abigail and see what she can do to help. But I should warn you, she’s rather sensitive—in order to get something useful out of her, you’re going to need to be gentle.” She looked at Set with a curious—almost accusing—eye while saying this last sentence.

((Abigail is now free to be controlled by anyone, just stick to her personality, please ^_^))

It wouldn't attack them until they were needed. "If she is bound to the... boundaries, it makes no difference. They will need to come here to be within distance of your power anyway."

Set smoothed his hair back, and looked at the red flame. It had gone out again.

"Okay, so what do we do now?" Ryan asked KT and... Set? That's what he's heard Yuki call him. Anyway, Ryan was feeling a bit uneasy about their current situation and couldn't help but worry about what his plan of action was. They obviously didn't know what he possessed in his back pocket, the object he had been clutching the entire time. He felt hesitant about telling them; he wasn't sure what they'd do to Yuki or him if they found out. He did know, however, that Yuki was wrong about one thing, and that thing would probably be his saving grace at some point.

"What's in your pocket? Tell me, or you go sleepy-byes and I take it anyway. Talk quick." he pressed his finger on the trigger. The fire djinn appeared behind Ryan for a moment. This was going to be tricky at the least.

“Set, leave him be,” Yuki scolded. “Ever since I first met you, you’ve been using force to get what you want out of people. It’s going to backfire on you eventually.”

Turning her attention to Ryan, Yuki apologized on Set’s behalf. “He’s always like this. It’s not atypical of him. I do recommend that you don’t cross him, however. He’s not one to be messed with.”

“But could we all just try to keep the peace, please? At least until we figure out what we’re going to do.”

KK almost dozed-off while watching the scenes. My! The adventure seems to be quite BORING. She rather snuggle up with that special someone for the rest of the evening.... yeah, quality familial moments.... after all, as a newly-wed woman ((lol, I'm still a girl IRL, so just excuse me for the RP imaginations)) KK deserves a honeymoon with her beloved husband, just as promised....

"Hey, do they want to end up FOREVER in that neverending exploration of theirs?" KK fumed alone.
