Oh, yeah. I forgot you could also read his thoughts. The man dropped his gun, and started mumbling some obsenities. "You were right about why I'm here," he said.
"And who are you?" Sandra asked.
"I am a magician," the man said in a serious tone. "And now for my big act. Disappearing!" The man disappeared right in front of Dan's eyes.
"Woah! Where'd he go?!" Dan asked.
Sandra sighed. "Where else could he go?" She jumped up and threw the man back to the ground. "Shine your flashlight, Dan!" When the light hit the man, it wasn't him. It was a statue!

Mira began looking around. "Dan, can you check to see if that will was faked by another attorney?" Mira asked, as he began to mentally scan the room, although he hadn't noticed his mental shift. Target lost..... Target location unknown..... Scanning area for target... Mira immediately targeted the statue. He began to examine it. Why do I feel something about this statue? I know for a fact that it was a replacement for that guy. He checked to see if the statue was hollow.

((Thank you, and sorry.))
BM listened patienly as Sandra explained exactly what was going on with this man. He had a bit of it figured out, but she explained it with such clear certainty. He was impressed. He became less impressed when the man ignored this and held Sandra at gunpoint. Mind racing, he almost rushed the man, but Mira and Dan had guns, and he wasn't about to jump a guy just so they could start shooting him.

After the man dropped his gun, BM's blood pressure returned to as normal as it would get and he began surveying the situation. Apparently, he didn't know the meaning of 'always alert.' As the man disappeared rather unspectatularly, for a disappearing act, BM cocked his head sideways. It was dark, and he could only see from the flashlight that was currently at Dan's side. When the light was finally shined on the man, BM was astounded. 'A statue? He decided to become a statue?' BM walked up to the statue and began looking around. A tap on the floor revealed no trapdoor, and up above were no wires.

'I have a feeling that this'll end up important,' he thought, sighing and moving around the tunnel to the entrance. "Should I go see if I can find him?" he asked, motioning up above. In a squeakier voice, he added, "Possibly with a buddy?"

Sandra was surprised about the discovery of the statue, and she felt it so she could "see" how it was shaped. It was a statue of Ami Fey. "Don't bother, BM. I knew that voice sounded fake. This was no act of a man, but of a woman. A spirit medium," Sandra said. "She's probably hiding right under our noses. In fact..." Sandra looked up again. Above her looked perfectly normal, but suddenly something landed on her, and she fell. Dan shined the flashlight there. It was an unconscious woman.

"That makes things slightly easier. Does that mean that she might have made him disappear?" Mira asked, as he picked the unconscious woman up. "I'm taking her to interrogation. Call me if there's any updates I should know about, ok?"

BM waited for hs partner's response, a little jittery still from what had happened. "A spirit med--" he began, his shouting echoing through the tunnel. He was cut off, however, by a loud crash and Sandra shrinking down. He squinted his eyes to look, and when the flashlight finally made it's way over, BM's jaw dropped. "What kind of sick Looney Tune are we in?" he muttered, hands at his side.

Realizing he was being a bit silly, he sighed, grinned innocently, and bent down to help Mira pick the woman up. "Interrogation? Shouldn't we start with the hospital?"

"Same thing." Mira said, almost as if he were hiding something. "We'll have to hire a spirit medium to help us with the interrogation." Mira said, referring to the interrogation.

Confused, BM tried to sum up the situation, in the way only he can. "So we have a detective, a postal worker, an attorney and an intern hunting a spirit medium magician while interrogating an unconscious woman who fell from the sky and investigating the Case of the Minced Attorney in an old, abandoned house. And they fight crime." He gave a sigh as he picked up the woman and began to try and lift her above ground. "Am I right so far?"

BM glared at Mira as he confirmed the situation. "Let's just ge down to the station. If that's where we're going, I mean." He attempted to climb the wall of the hole, initially with little success, but soon he had escaped. The woman still in hand, he waited for Mira to hop out.

"SANDRA!!! BREATHE! Breathe, Sandra! BREATHE!!!" Dan shouted.
"No need to shout," She said as she tried to get up, but Dan tackled her.
"I KNOW CPR!" Dan shouted as he tried to resussitate her.
"DAN! I'M OKAY!" Sandra shouted back. Dan stopped.
"Oh, thank goodness. I thought I lost you."
"Yeah, whatever. Help me up, will you?" Sandra asked. Dan pickd her up over his shoulder and brought her over to the trapdoor. Then, he waited for Mira to climb out, even though Sandra was squirming against his grasp.

Watching Dan and Sandra playing like that made BM laugh a bit. Well, it was more of a snort, but it was intended to be a laugh. "Now I know we're in a sitcom." he muttered, adjusting the woman so he would lean forward and fall, probably crushing Sandra again. Noticing Dan try to heave Sandra up over the door like he did, he called down, "Danny! That only works if the person you're carrying is unconscious!" He grinned, Dan was panicking all over the place and Sandra was just trying to kick herself free.

'If this is a sitcom, I owe the writers a cookie.'

Mira appeared to have flown up from the hole. If one were to evaluate what Mira did, that person would have noticed that Mira decided to flip out of the hole in the wall. He landed on the ground with a forward roll, but canceled out of it once he came close to hitting a wall. He then stood up. "So Dan, I take it you drove here?" Mira asked.

"Yeah. I drove here," Dan said proudly. "Got my liscense a week ago." Sandra kept trying to squirm out of his grasp. Dan climbed up the hole. "Only works if she's unconscious? But it seems to be working now."
"Let go of me," Sandra said.
"Okay." Dan dropped Sandra right over the hole so she fell back down it. Sandra landed hard on the ground. She got up and started climbing back up.
"I save you!" Dan screamed and jumped down after her, landing on Sandra. "Where'd Sandra go?" he asked.

BM watched as Dan and Sandra continued their charade. When Dan dropped Sandra and jumped down after her, BM knew he had to intercept. Placing the unconscious woman delicately on the ground, he slid down just next to Dan and Sandra and glared. "Where's Sandra?" he said mockingly, shooing Dan out of the way. "Peek-a-boo! There she is!" He crouched down to Sandra's level and grinned a little. "Yay!"

"Ugh," was all Sandra could say. Dan was just acting, but Sandra wasn't. "Not...funny...Dan."
Dan laughed. "Of course it wasn't funny. It was hilarious!"
"I'll...kill...you...you-"
Dan picked her up and put her on her feet. "Sorry, BM. Looks like the party's over."
"There was never a party to begin with!" Dan ignored her and climbed through the hole.
"Coming, Sandra?"
Sandra gave an exasperated sigh before climbing out through the hole.

"So yeah, can I ask you to drive us to our destination?" Mira asked Dan. "I don't feel like fighting with any more taxi drivers today..... Did we ever finish that fight with that one taxi driver?" Mira asked Sandra.

To BM's great relief, and amusement, Dan got off of Sandra. "Party's gotta end sometime," BM said offhand, climbing out of the hole and back above ground. "Yech, taxi drivers." he said with disgust. "I'm off the guys permanently." Pondering the situation, BM decided that, "We're either going to track down the Medium Magician, find a Medium of our own, get the unconsious woman to a hospital," At this, he picked the woman up and continued, "Or we're going to bring her somewhere and interrogate her." Grinning, he added, "Or we could stop for lunch."

"Lunch?" Dan looked at his watch and realized how late it was. 4:00, and he didn't even eat breakfast. Sandra heard this. "I think we should stop for a quick lunch. I don't think any of us think at our best when we're famished."
"ALRIGHT! Shot gun!!" Dan yelled excitedly.
"You're driving, remember?" Sandra asked.
"Oh. Well I still call it!"

"I do," Dan said. :takethat: "Here you go!" Dan pulled a whole phonebook out of seemingly nowhere.
"You don't have to shout 'TAKE THAT!' every time you show someone something," Sandra said. "But before we go to lunch, you ran into that 'man,' right? There is one last thing I need to check out." Sandra walked over to the kitchen, and saw the door with blood on it. Now, to finally find out what this is. She opened the cupboard.

Once Dan pulled a phonebook from hammerspace, BM decided that the situation was just going to remain as non-sensical as it is, especially with Dan around. 'Infinite Improbability Drive is working overtime,' he thought, wandering around. He caught a glimpse of Sandra wandering into the kitchen, and trailed behind. 'Wonder if I'm getting paid...' As Sandra walked over to the pantry, BM began tearing into his lip. 'Don't open the mysterious bloody door in the far off room alone! No...' He maneuvered over to just behind Sandra, idling behind her as the door creaked open.

Unfortunately for Sandra, she couldn't make out what the object was. It looked as if it had been frozen, whatever it was. She stepped aside for BM to have a look.

While the door swung open, BM covered his face with his hands. Just in case. Seconds later, when he was still breathing, he cautiously opened them to not a whole lot. It was your typical pantry fair, cookies, dust, frozen emerald thing. "Huh?" Noticing the emerald object, BM leaned in.

Picking it up, (and biting the bullet against the mild freezerburn,) BM showed the object to Sandra. "Did you notice this?" he asked, half-curious and half-beaming proud. His first piece of evidence, and it was... probably important. Peeling his hands from the frozen object and dusting it off, he began to examine it in front of a nearby window. "Okay, we got... a shiny emerald thing. Ball with hole in the center..." He continued dusting around the base of the object. "A comma? Huh?" After his analysis, he turned back to Sandra and stuck the object out to hand it to her. "Anything I missed?"

Sandra grabbed it, feeling along it carefully. She felt something when she held it, but wasn't sure what the feeling was. It was shaped like a comma. "I think we need to ask our spirit medium about this magatama," she said. Sandra studied the Kurain channeling technique for a long time, and up until this case, she thought it was just nonsense. Fantasy. But they found a man who was really a woman channeling a spirit and a magatama. She had to know what was going on.

"Magatama?" BM asked, interested in the situation. "Our spirit medium?" He began to piece things together. 'Spirit Medium + Magatama = Ultimate Power?' "So, it's some kind of spiritual thing then?" he offered, hiding hs thoughts in case they were stupid in reality. "Looks like we should go see our medium."

"But what about lunch?" Mira asked in response to the sudden change of plans. "Oh, right." Mira looked through the phone book. He made it to the Ms because he thought that 'Magatama' might be a keyword used by spirit mediums. He then made it to the Mi's. He noticed the many numbers associated with his name and trades. He thought he may have overlooked it.

"Lunch?" BM asked, disappointed in himself for blowing it off. Still, he had to figure out what this 'Magatama' had to do with the whole situation. "Erg... After the medium? Or if we see a fast food place on the way we can stop." He became even more disappointed when he realized he didn't have any money. "...Or we could just miss it."

"Lunch? Oh, I forgot about that," Sandra said. "We'll figure something out. Have you tried looking up 'F' for Fey? They have a lot of mediums in the Fey clan."
"So...NO lunch?" Dan asked.
"Post-poned lunch," Sandra corrected.

In helping with the phone book problem, BM called out "Or S for Spirit?" The lunch problem again. "At this rate, we're just going to have to have a really big dinner." His stomach grumbled in protest. "On a related note, can we stop back at the office? I dropped my wallet there." Frowning, he turned back to Sandra and the Magatama. 'Cute little thing.' he thought, examining it again.

"So... what's the story on the 'Magatama'?"

"The story on the 'Magatama' is, as far as I know, that it will give the user special powers when indulged with spirit...something-or-other..." Man, being hungry is making me lose my mind. "F-for example, ...One magatama gave someone the ability to see through people's lies."
"Sounds like nonsense to me," Dan said.
"Yes, but there's one right here. I'm sure one of the Fey clan would know more about this."

"I'm just a regular attorney. I didn't ask for crazy investigators and spirit magic and..."
"Is that a...?"

BM listened intently to the Magatama story, half-skeptical and half-super excited. "So is it 'indulged' right now?" he asked, deciding to let the super excited part of him take over. "Can... I try?" With that, he stuck his hand out, and put on the face of a lonely puppy.

Dan's outburst shook him a little, but today, he'd seen worse. He thought it was a bit silly, 'Why wouldn't he want a magical lie detector. Or magical whatever. Maybe it shoots lasers! Oh man Sandra, pleeeease.' He strengthened his puppy dog pout and started bouncing in excitement.

A ring was heard coming from her pocket. She was the only one who owned a cell phone in the entire Fey family, and it was a gift for her sixteenth birthday. "Who is it, Pearly?" Master Mystic Maya asked excitedly. Appearantly, she forgot that the phone had to be answered in order for her to know.
"Hello. This is Pearl Fey speaking."

"Well, it seems like it's been indulged for a long time. It had to be from a powerful medium," Sandra said. "I definitely feel...Something when I hold it. Oh, Dan...There's something I've been meaning to ask you...Why are you here? For real, this time."
"Me? There was a burglar in here. I tried to chase him down," Dan fibbed. All of a sudden, chains were over him and so were huge red locks. What the hell is this? Then, they disappeared. "I don't believe you," Sandra said. "But since I don't know how to make you tell the truth, here you go, BM." Sandra gave BM the magatama.

Excited, BM snatched the Magatama from Sandra's hands. Trying to remain calm, he held it tightly in his hand. 'Mmph. Wish I had a necklace,' he thought, clearing his throat. He moved on to the next most exciting thing, Dan chasing down a burglar. "A burglar? Really? What happened?" Sure, he'd done it himself before, but he was too busy crying in fear to enjoy the moment. As he asked the question, his hand began to glow a faint green. Or rather, the item inside it did.

"Well, there's not much to tell," Dan said. "I saw a man wearing a black mask running in here in a hurry. I gave chase, running into the house after him. But when I came in, the man was gone. Vanished, as if into thin air. Then, I heard you and Sandra roaming around the bedroom."
"You really know how to milk a lie, don't you, Dan?" Sandra asked.
"W-what? What do you mean?!"
"If you were truly giving chase to a criminal, as in running after him, you would have been sweating when you found us."
"H-how do you know whether or not I was sweating?"
"Trust me, I would have smelled it."

"W-well," Pearl stuttered.
"What is it, Pearly?" Master Mystic Maya asked.
"This man wants me to work a case."
"YAY! Go for it!"
"...Okay. Sure, I'll take the case, Mister."
