Brett walked behind Mari as she recieved the black pin. 'What's she giggling about?' she wondered, a little annoyed that he lost. Once back in the sights and sounds of the Shibuya streets, thy began regular conversation once more.
"That why I said we should cheat," he said, glaring at her. "But whatever. We lost." Realizing he was being really negative at this point, he added, "But we'll get 'em next time, right?" and the fist pumping gesture to go with it.
"So... Wait. We got a text or something, right?" Flipping his phone open, he rooted through the new messages. "Here." Twisting his hand and moving his head right next to Mari's, he hit play. "Blah blah cool power-up of evil blah blah lose it and the world is over blah plebs." He sighed. "The next mission will be a monster hunt. Just wait." He went back into the message and watched the other attachment. The Reaper fight almost interested him, but after you've fought like that yourself, the movies are never the same. Once the fight had finished, he shut his phone and stepped back away from Mari.

"Uh... I am good, thank you. And yourself?" he replied, before consulting the text again. "I assume you would like to find your pin first?" He noticed the open locket, but decided not to inquire into into it too much - at best, he wasn't overly inquisitive.
A Reaper was walking through the Udagawa Backstreets, mostly minding his own business - he was only a Support Reaper, but he still had to prepare the walls for tomorrow - however, a ripple on the steps caught his attention. "I didn't think the Noise were meant to be out here today..." he wondered aloud, before the ground beneath him rippled and a pair of large black-and-white jaws came up from beneath him and swallowed him whole.

"H-Huh? I'm...okay." She paused and listened to him. "....Yeah, sure I guess we can get my pin first." Hikari replied her voice littered with a nervous tone. She wasn't going to refuse getting the pin, they'd have to go there anyways...might as well get the burden over with first.
However, Hikari was quickly snapped out of her thoughts as her eyes traced Terminus' eyes straight to her open locket.
"Er-" She make a momentary noise, seeming akward as she quickly shut the necklace....it was obviously not something she had meant for other's eyes....even if it was the view of the person she had to depend on to return to life.
One thing struck Hikari as odd though. When she asked him how he was....he said he was 'good'. Good. Didn't he realize he was dead. She shrugged it off though and took a quick artistic look at her pact partner. She did this with anyone she would come across, even if she might never seem them again. He was intresting. Her senses told her there was more to him then meets the eye. "I won't venture on that 'till later." She spoke to herself and then looked back at Terminus as though she was ready to speak and not analyzing him.
"Let's go to Dogenzaka then..." She motioned for him to follow her as she started to walk quickly towards 10-4.
"So, you know Shibuya pretty well?" Hikari tried to make light conversation as they went.
(I've got a bit of stuff in Dogenzaka for Hikari to deal with....)

Rae was out of breath, she'd been running around and lingering in multiple players' shadows for a while now. If she was going to rack up any points today she was going to have to strike soon. Spotting another pair of players who had just entered 10-4, she saw her chance arise. Giggling to herself, she dashed towards a dark-haired pair in the middle of some light conversation and tapped them on the back.
"Well, hello. What do we have here?" she eyed the players, "Tut tut, you're looking a little too relaxed, guys. Care to face the music?"
She fiddled with a pin and a guitar covered in noise symbols appeared in her hands. "You don't have long left, so just try and prevent your erasure, quick-sharp!"
Strumming away at the guitar, using a pin as a plectrum, a horde of assorted noise appeared before the startled players.
I'm not going to be here very often anymore.

"Yeah I wonder if we got are pins first...", he looked ponderous for a moment, "I've actually been wondering where all the other players are, you think we'd have bumped into some by now."
Kendall led him over to a bench, he sat down beside her and turned his head in her direction, he couldn't see her, but somehow it made him feel a bit better.
"Ok so you wanna know about me? Erm... were should I start? Well I was born and raised here in Shibuya, I may not look it because my father was English. Apparently i get most of my looks from him, he was here for business and had a fling with my mother but left us when i was born, so I wouldn't really know" he looked slightly sad for a moment.
"Ok what else?" he sad trying to sound a bit more cheerful. "Well i grew up pretty normal here with my mother, when i was about 16 I discovered I liked guys as well as girls, and i guess i've been a bit promiscuous since then" he said blushing slightly, even though he wasn't really sure why, he'd been sleeping around alot, so what?.
"Erm... i'd just started University the other day and have really been enjoying it. That's about it, anything else? Or can i hear about you now?" he asked smiling broadly.

Kendall raised an eyebrow. “You’re right! We haven’t seen anyone! Kinda spooky....” She shrugged it off. “Maybe they’re just antisocial or something. Whatever, as long as they don’t interfere.” She smiled when he turned towards her, the gesture made her feel a little less awkward around him. “So you’re from around here...That explains a lot.” She smiled. “Aww....That’s too bad about your father.” On an impulse, she leaned over and gave him a hug; he looked like he needed one. “So you’re bi? That’s....really cool!” Inside, Kendall heaved a sigh of relief. Okay, so her guy-radar wasn’t right this time! He wasn’t gay! She giggled. “And your mom is okay with it? You’re really lucky!” She blushed as well when he mentioned his promiscuity. “Wow....You sound like you’ve had a good life!” She grinned. “You wanna hear about me? Alright then!”
“Okay, well, my name is Kendall Vega. I’m not from around here. I was born in South Dakota. Y’know, in the US?” She chuckled nervously. “I came here as an exchange student, to go to high school in a foreign country.” She shrugged. “So yeah. I’m sixteen. I lived in Sioux Falls until freshman year. Then I came here. I mean, I could’ve gone to China - they have some of the best gymnasts in the world – but I wanted a change. Something different.” She twirled her ponytail around her finger. “I’ve been doing gymnastics since I was six years old. Ten years of hard, back-breaking work. Not literally, of course! Although I do know a girl who broke her back dismounting from the beam.” She winced. “Gotta be careful. But yeah. My mom and dad and stepmom are really supportive of me. They’re glad I’m doing something I like.” She grinned.
“Oh yeah. My stepmom.” She grinned mischievously. “Well, when I was eight or nine, my mom and dad split up. I didn’t know at the time, but it was because my dad found my mom making out with his coworker at a bar. His female coworker.” She paused. “Yeah. My mom is gay.” She shrugged again. “Two years ago she got together with this really nice woman. They’re not married, but I still call her my stepmom. We’re really close.” She smiled warmly. “So yeah. That’s about it, I guess.” She gasped. “Oh! I guess you’d wanna know what I look like, right? Seeing as you’ve never really seen me....” She chuckled.

".....Get out of my way." Hikari replied, without a flinch. She was obviously annoyed. Not only had that as* of a 'Game Master' set her pin in Dogenzaka.....but now once she had resolved to go there...this...crazy reaper was getting in her way.
However, she didn't have to worry about the reaper for long....some odd enemies appeared. In her mind it was as though she knew what they were called. Her voice invoulentarily gave her mind the answer.
"Noise!" She growled hostily. "I'll make you pay for this stupid!" Hikari directed at the Reaper before her and Terminus vanished into their own battle zones.
Hikari's mind was very focused in most situatuons but in battle it was even more so. She looked at the pins attached to the ribbon tied around her wrist. It seemed right to use them, again it was like her mind was pulled, directed and preprogramed to use the pins.
A noise came at her, in her own zone and Hikair jumped back gracefully and her hand quickly touched a pin on the ribbon. It was one that had a wing on it, whithin the wing was writing. As soon as she touched it, she felt power leave her body and channel straight to both her hands, in which light appeared.
"Amazing." She muttered under her breath as she held one of her two hands out and focused the energy at one of the noise. It sturggled at the attack as though it wanted to dispel the power from itself and in it's own manner attacking it self. Hikari nodded in approval of the sucsessful attack and then went to slaying the other noise in her zone.

"I dunno.. i have a feeling it might have been more than that..." he trailed off, "meh I dunno" he said with a silly grin.
He turned a little red when Kendall hugged him, "T-thanks" he said hugging her back. She drew back, still holding his hand and he felt himself cool down a little.
"Yeah I was quite surprised how well my mum took it when I told her, it's quite embarrassing, but apparently she had thought so all along" he said feeling a little awkward. "And Yeah i had fun... 'having fun', but I wasn't always like that, I'd had a few reationships... but they never seemed to work out... so I decided I was just gonna enjoy myself and hope that the right person would come along some day." He smiled, trying to hide the fact he was embarrassed to be sharing all this.
He listened carefully, interested in Kendall's life.
"Your American? That's pretty cool, I wouldn't have noticed otherwise, you speak Japanese very well".
Hikaru thought a moment, it was really weird, he was pretty sure if he'd seem Kendall in the street, he would have disregarded her before and just thought 'tourist'. Part of him was glad he's lost his sight... otherwise he may not have made friends with her.
"So a gymnast huh? That's amazing! I'm not really the sporty type myself" he laughed. "I'm glad your parents are proud of you, I know I would be if I was..." he stopped. " I really have no idea where I was going with that...".
He stopped again, confused, he was gonna say 'if I was your boyfriend or something' and he had no idea why.
He coughed awkwardly and moved on. "So you got two moms? That's different, but pretty cool" he smiled, showing that this was genuinely what he thought.
“Oh! I guess you’d wanna know what I look like, right? Seeing as you’ve never really seen me....”
His heart jumped at this, did she have a picture of herself? He found that for some reason he actually found it quite exciting, he really wanted to know what she looked like. He was about to say yes but was quite surprised to find himself saying.
"No"
He didn't want to know... just yet. He had been a very shallow person before, but Kendall was teaching him, changing him, and he didn't want that to end.
"It can wait, until we've both beaten this game and got are entry fees back" he said smiling and feeling awakward.
((Sorry its just I think it'd be more dramatic to wait till the end of the game xD))

Kendall smiled. “Thanks,” she said warmly. “I actually never took Japanese in school. I had to learn it right when I moved here.” She chuckled. “Kind of an intense way to learn a language! Being plunged into a totally foreign environment, and having to learn everything on the fly...” She gasped. “It’s kind of like the Reapers’ Game! We’re dropped into the UG, and really have no idea what we’re doing! It’s sink or swim...and we’ve been swimming along just fine!” She smiled brightly. “Maybe that’s why I’m taking it so well, y’know? I’ve had to do something along these lines before...In a way, I guess I was kinda prepared...” She chuckled. “Yeah, I’m Japanese, on my mom’s side. She’s the third generation in America, so our roots have kinda been lost.” She shrugged. “It’s a shame. Japan is awesome!” Grinning, she leaned back, gasping softly when she brushed up close to Hikaru. They were sitting so close, and holding hands.... Kendall blushed. She was glad they hadn’t seen any other Players! Who knows what they would’ve thought!
“Yeah. Apparently I’m really good at the beam!” She flashed a brilliant smile, which, of course, Hikaru couldn’t see. She laughed. “If you were my parent? Ha! You can’t be more than a couple years older than me! Where would you get an idea like that?” She laughed again. Taking a deep breath to clam herself, she continued. “Yeah. My stepmom is only 24! We’re pretty close. She takes me shopping and stuff. People think we’re sisters!” She grinned again. Her grin grew when he refused to see her picture. “Ah. I see. Totally understandable.”
Kendall then did something totally unpredictable. Even she was shocked at her behavior. She propped her feet on the side of the bench, and lay sideways, so that her head was in Hikaru’s lap. She giggled. “Hope you don’t mind. It’s just that I’m tired,” –she yawned for emphasis– “and you seems a bit more comfortable than the bench!” She laughed softly. “Anyways... Oh yeah! The Game! What are we gonna do if we win? Only one person can go back to the RG. If we win, it’s gonna be you. No arguing!” She bit her lip. “I don’t want to go back. I’ll stay here instead. Being a Reaper sounds fun. Something to pass the time. I mean, I’m only sixteen! I’m too young to be erased! And being a Reaper....It may not suit me, but too bad. I don’t want to play this damned game again, and you’re going back to the RG. So it’s really my only choice.” She flashed a smile. “So, now that I’ve eliminated all but one choice, what would you do if we won?”

"Wow that must have been hard" said Hikaru giving her hand a sympathetic squeeze. "True it is quite similar I guess, apart from the fact that we seem to enter it knowing alot about it for some reason." He wasn't gonna complain but it was wierd.
"But yeah, i think we've been doing great, I know we can win this" he said smiling broudly. "And cool, so your not a complete forigner then" he joked. He flet Kendall brush against him slightly, and could feel himslef blushing again. He tried to ignore it and carried on with the conversation.
"Yeah I'm 18.... and im really not sure what i was going to say there" he chuckled awakwardly.
"Wow, so your spep-mums like 10 years younger than my mum, thats pretty cool"
He flet really awkward turning down a chance to se her... he just felt he should wait.
While he was deep in thought, he suddenly felt Kendall lay her head in his lap. His blush got even worse, he turned a deep beetroot colour.
"I-t's fine" he stuttered, embarressed. It was wierd... he'd basically been a bit of a 'player' before, in the sexual sense, but Kendall was making him blush like every two seconds.

to be honest he hadn't really thought about it that much, The game it's self had been hectic. She said she wnated him to back to life, he was about to argue, but instead he asked "Why? Why don't you wanna go back? It sounds like you've got so much to go back for." Why didn;t she want to go back?
"And when we win, i'll make sure theres an option for us both, I wouldn't mind becoming a Reaper, i could live a double life in the UG and RG, it'd be fun"

The other Reapers were liars. It never did get any easier, the hate ate away at her constantly and the pain never dulled. Useless, useless, useless. She was useless, to those closest to her and as a Reaper.
She had to toughen up. Not everyone could go back to the RG. They had to work for it, right?
“Oh God, I need some painkillers.” she groaned. Seeing as the young lady wouldn't be to pleased to see her if she managed to erase the noise, Rae headed off to Nishimura Drugs.

"Doesn't matter if we won or lost. We survived, right?" she mumbled, kicking at the ground absent-mindedly.
Watching the video, Mari felt her eyes prickle with tears.
"Mari, what's wrong?" asked Brett, at length. He hoped she wouldn't say anything, he hated talking about feelings.
"*mumble*"
"What?"
"Life. Winning the game's a bit like a double-edged sword, isn't it? The Reapers have given us these awesome powers, and then... They're stripped from us. Coming back to life, what's the point? We go back to our boring humdrum lives, eating, working sleeping, is that what life is? Some people may like it, but now I've had a taste of the bizarre, I don't want to let go. I... I..."
With that, Mari let out a sob and ran away, back to Tipsy Tose Hall. Brett stood silent for moments, then gave chase. "MARI!" he called, "COME BACK!" And as he ran, something fell from his pocket. Something black and round...

"COME ON MARI!" he continued, pushing his way through the crowds of people, out the main buildingand into the streets. 'Erg, that girl's got some 'splainings to do.' "We have to talk!" He hated saying things like that, and once he realized that one, he blushed and slapped himself for the poor choice of words. At that point he sped up after her, diving at her once he was close and just grabbing at her leg as he fell painfully to the ground. Bleeding slightly, he strenghtened his grip on her leg. "Just stop!"

"Woah!" The sudden weight on her leg caused Mari to trip as well, throwing her arms out to take the brunt of the fall. "Ow..." She looked behind her, and blushed.
Right now, I am so glad I'm not wearing a skirt.
She wriggled free of Brett's grasp, but didn't run away. Instead, she moved over to Brett, kneeling beside him.
"Are you okay?" she asked softly, rubbing his cheek gently with her thumb.
"I'm sorry for running away like that - I..."
She just shook her head, tears dripping onto the road next to her.
"What's wrong with me, Brett? I don't deserve - no - don't want a second chance..."

A picture frame eh? I have some ideas then.))
Panting, and clutching his arm to his chest, Brett attempted to stand. That didn't go to well, and the ground was comfortable enough, so he just kind of lied there and stuck his head up, waiting for Mari to say something. She did, and he responded with "*gargle cough cough crunch*" Spitting out the odd bit of blood and gravel, he tried again, and managed a solid, "I'm OK." The rubbing motion she was giving him was very soothing and relaxing, and for a moment he just lied there, enjoying it.
"Okay, you're sorry," he started, shaking his head to regain focus, "Now you have to help stop the problem." In his head, someone was screaming, 'You sound like a chapter from a self-help booklet!' but he ignored it. Mari started crying, and this uneased him more than a little bit. "Okay... Okay, Mari. You... Let's just..." His exciting conversation was cut short by his partner's next bout of good news.
"Erg..." he started shaking, partially from fear and partially from the blood loss he really wasn't preventing as much as he could. He regained focus and continued, "Come on Mari, what's the problem? Life hasn't been treating you well, right? But, that's what the second chance is all about!" He had no idea where he was going with this, but it sounded okay, so he continued. "You always have to try, right? And if you fail there, you end up here, and you try, try again!" That one sounded bad, so he decided to wrap it up with a motivation phrase, after spitting some more blood off to his side. "It's a wonderful world, Mari! You just have to be there to enjoy it!"

"Bwah! Enough of my emo troubles, you're hurt! Can you stand? Oh, this is all my fault!"
Mari helped him to his feet, so that he was kind of leaning on her shoulder, and she dragged him over to a bench.
"Are you sure you're okay?" she asked, smiling softly, a little out of breath from her exersion.

"Mmph." He started, regaining focus. "My arms are fine," He moved his arms around in wavy patterns to show his point. "My stomach got more acquainted with the ground than safety. And my legs just took a real beating." He was still shaking, but he managed a small smile. "What do you think the chances are that tomorrow morning, everything will reset?"

"You don't have to if you don't want to... I mean, you'll tell me when you're ready, right? No need to force yourself." Mimi had noticed Max's discomfort when he brought up the subject. Sure, there was stuff she wanted to know, but as far as she knew, they were all touchy subjects. She considered talking about some of her story to make him feel more comfortable, but she also felt like that would've been rude. There was a few moments of awkward silence as the two tried to figure out what to say, then Mimi decided to take the safe route:
"...but if you want, just talk about what you're comfortable with. Something that's more than just a name and a face, you know?"

He was walking past Nishimura drugs when he noticed a reaper coming out. He quickly stood behind a building... some of the reapers didn't like him very much.
It was Rae. They'd talked a few times and had seemed to get on ok. He smiled, he'd actually helped her out when she was a player. He wondered if she remembered, probably not.
He walked forward, "hey there."

Max looked at Mimi when she said those words. It was tough trying to talk about one's self without having to tread on very thin ice. He was reluctant to admit that talking about himself was something that he didn't want to do. But given how Mimi wanted to know him a little better, that was incentive enough to talk.
'Something other than just a name or face huh?' Max thought for a bit. 'Come to think of it. All these times even the past few times, I've barely talked anything that hasn't involved a name or a face about me or my partner. Well, I suppose we can talk about something else like...' "Well, I..." To his embarrassment and relief, Max's stomach signalled that it needed food and badly given how bad it sounded. "I suppose lunch is on the topic now..." He looked at Mimi who was almost ready to piss herself laughing.
'That's good. At least we'll avoid talking about something like that.' With that, he got up and headed for the counter for some lunch.

Kendall shrugged. “Whatever. This is actually kind of fun!” She grinned up at him. “Are you kidding? We’re doing amazing!” She giggled. “We haven’t lost a challenge yet!” She frowned. “Well, it is only Day 2!” She laughed. “Yeah, not a complete foreigner!” She smiled. “Ah! You’re eighteen....” She smiled brightly. “Only a few years!” That’s not too bad!” Kendall immediately flushed a deep red. “Um.....I really have no idea where I was going with that....” She shifted, suddenly awkward. She laughed nervously. “So, um....Your mom’s 34, then? That seems so old to me!” She laughed, regaining her cheerful mood. “God, I can’t imagine what life will be like when I’m that old! I can’t really see beyond the next year!” She chuckled.
Smiling, Kendall giggled. “Aw, you’re cute when you’re embarrassed!” She suddenly stiffened. “Um...” She blushed, and turned her head away in shame. “I’m sorry...That was rude of me...” She bit her lip. “Why don’t I want to go back? Because I’m done. I don’t want to live again. One lifetime is enough.” She looked at him, her eyes dark. “I died for a reason.” She gasped. “Oh...” Suddenly, she smiled again. “So!” She smiled up at Hikaru and blinked. She impulsively reached over and took Hikaru’s hand, twining her fingers with his. She smiled. “Hikaru....I’m really glad you’re my partner! I couldn’t have asked for a better person!” She blushed faintly, but it was nothing compared to how red she was before.

Yumiko blinked. She fiddled with the spiked collar around her neck, a scowl marring her otherwise pretty face. She had a terrible pounding headache. “That’s what you get from erasing Players...” she grumbled. Yawning, she slowly sat up. She stretched, and stood up carefully. Rolling he shoulders, she flapped her Reaper’s wings twice. She smiled. Three months as a Reaper, and she still couldn’t believe her wings. She walked leisurely over to Nishimura Drugs. “Hey, it’s the only drugstore in town....and I need a painkiller...” she muttered.
She yawned again, and scratched the side of her nose. She glanced around. No Players around. That was good; Yumiko didn’t really like to talk to them. She did notice two fellow Reapers. First was Rae, a sweet girl around her age. She grinned. Rae was the closest she had to a friend here in the Game.
She also noticed a male Reaper. She frowned. “What was his name again?” she murmured. “Oh! Takai, was it?” She bit her lip. She had seen him around occasionally. She walked forward. “Hey,” she said casually. “Takai, right?” She also nodded to Rae. “Rae,” she said cordially.

In answer to the last question, Mari said, "Well, I hope they do! I don't want to lump you around like some oversized doll. Although, knowing you, you'll just pretend to be lazy." She grinned nervously.
An awkward silence grew between them, and to break the tension, Mari turned to Brett and said, "We're kinda near Spain Hill. Wanna go to that Mexican, get something to eat...?"

Brett frowned at her response. 'Do I really come off as that lazy?' He'd have to be more excitable. "Mexican?" he said, down. "I... Okay! Sure!" Mexican food was never his forte, too many beans and spicy things. That, and he was bleeding out the legs. "But first, do you know where a drugstore is? Or even somewhere to buy a towel?" He knew he could use a towel. Such practical devices they are. "I just don't want to be walking around some high class restaurant staining the floor red."
He was going to have to try a lot harder to look excitable.

Hikaru turned an even deeper shade of red. Yeah they where only a couple of years apart...
"I-it's ok", there was an awkward silence before Kendall moved the topic on.
"Hey my mums like the youngest you can be to legally have a kid my age" he said with a chuckle. "But seriously you see that as old? I've like dated guys not much younger than that so don't really see it as old. I'd say 50 or 60 is old."
He blushed again when she called him cute, and could basically feel her doing the same as she apologized. "It's fine, im sure you are too" he said with a smile.
Suddenly the mood dropped when he asked about why she didn't want to go back.
"One lifetime is enough"
"But your so young, you haven't lived a lifetime yet, you should have so much to live for."
His heart sunk when he heard her say
"I died for a reason"
could she have... wanted to die?
This depressing mood was broken when Kendall became upbeat again.
"Thanks" he said squeezing her hand slightly. "I think I got the best partner too, im really glad to have met you" he said with a faint smile, feeling happy.

Takai jumped as another Reaper walked up behind him. He hadn't noticed her.
"Yeah you've got it right" he said with a smile.
She was a pretty girl, about the same age as Rae. He remembered her from her game. He hadn't really been involved in that one, but he had watched from the sidelines. This girl had a pretty sad story. He did wonder though why she didn't just tune into the RG and see her boyfriend, many reapers lived double lives. Heck even he did and he was an officer.
"Hey there Yumiko, was it? How're you?"

"A drugstore?" Mari asked, grinning. "Sure, there's one just around the corner! Come on!" Mari got up with a start, but Brett had a harder time. His right foot he could walk on, even if it was a little painful. His left, on the other hand, he couldn't make touch the ground. "Mari. Do you have anything I could lean on?" he asked, weakly.
Mari scanned the immediate area, but nothing really looked solid enough for her partner. Except for one tree branch... "One second!" She walked over, and tested her weight on it. Brett giggled quietly in the background. The branch seemed fine until she tried swinging forward. Snapping under the pressure, Mari fell, luckily against the tree she took the branch from. "I don't think there's anything around..."
"I can hop." Brett offered, cutting Mari off mid-sentence. Using the bench for balance, he stood, bent his left leg up, and hopped over to a building. When Mari noticed this, she ran over to him and stood behind. "It's okay Mari, I can walk fine." 'Or at least hop.' he thought.
Mari frowned. "Fine. The store's just up there," she pointed forward. "I'll lead." Brett glanced at his legs and nodded. Noticing a road ahead, he added, "But don't go too far. I can't just hobble along a wall the whole way."

Mimi licked her soft-serve shyly as a awkward silence followed their order. Sure, she was about to fall out of her chair a few minutes ago, but now that things calmed down again, she was at a loss at what to say. Max was obviously trying to avoid the subject -- she couldn't help but wonder why he brought up the subject in the first place. She contemplated talking about herself to make him feel more comfortable, but she wasn't too keen on that idea. There was also the option of small talk, but she thought that might give him the impression that she's chatty.
