Without a word, he regained balance and floated in the air, pointing at Zero with his free hand. The ground underneath him froze over, making a smooth slippery surface. Nyx Avatar then opened his hand, a stream of flame erupting out towards Zero.

"Two facing one? It would hardly seem fair... do you have another teammate or two to help you?" Nyx Avatar said, holding his sword horizontally, hands upon the grip and blade. Several wisp-like embers began to form in front of the blade, spiraling and circling an unseen globe.

Copy X merely watched from afar, not really caring to fight. After all, while not in Neo Arcadia, he could not command Fefnir around.

Raising his hand from the sword's blade to the sky, the wisps he had created dispersed towards all the others, one circling each person there... except Fefnir. Nyx Avatar turned his head to face him and smiled.
"Within you, I sense wish to fight blindly and with abandon. Let me unleash you from your ties of loyalty.." He pointed at Fefnir, and like before, when he had taken control of the random civilian, a thin pink line connected from his finger to Fefnir's forehead.

He threw both Snake and Ike into the air, jumped, and spin-attacked Nyx Avatar. Ike did his flip sword attack ((I forgot what it was called)) with Ragnell. Snake fired missiles from the air. Sephiroth seemed to disappear as he did a lightning-quick sword attack on Nyx Avatar before getting out of the way of the missiles.

Even though it looked like he was not hurt in the least, a definite change could be felt in the caustic atmosphere... Nyx Avatar was weakened. The magic that was charming Fefnir still remained, however, even with the controller's weakened state.
The Moonless Gown returned, the same familiar rippling glow surrounding Nyx Avatar's form. His somber, always smiling face was no longer grinning as widely.
"Let us finish this! It is the path of your choosing!"
Nyx Avatar flew up into the sky, his wings pumping once or twice, yet hardly flapping any more than that as he ascended into the heavens.

He had begun to glow a different way, along with the glow of the Moonless Gown. It was a kind of rising, misty glow, the color of blood... it could not bode well for any who saw it.
He flapped his wings again and again, small black feathers raining down upon Sephiroth. They dropped upon him like a black snow, but did not fall off-- in fact, they stuck on, no matter what he did.

Perched high above the hole in the clouds, he could see all the ground below and all the sky above, full moon large and bright above him. To his side, he could see the giant shape of the Ouroboros bearing down upon him, still hidden from view to the people below.
"If you wish, strike me now. Every blow that hit's my body will be dealt instead to you. Reveal your true natures, and destroy yourself upon me!"
Beneath the Moonless Gown's glow, the bloody red aura was increasing, a tremendous power welling up and overtaking even Nyx Avatar's force.

A black line in the shape of a shape took hold in the sky, and in it's place, the sun shone out. A stream of light came from it and shone on Nyx, suddenly striking him.

The agents, done with their evacuation, hurried back to the angency itself. EBA Inc., located who knows where. It was underground, and quite a large facility. Up in the Command Room, sat the Commander and possibly best agent of his time, Kahn. Starr and Cheiftain reported their progress to him, with expilict detail.
"Good. For now, it seems that there is only one trouble area, which is your previous location. Await orders. That is all."

The Rhombulans, just outside Earth's orbit gleefully peered down at the sleeping Earth. The Mothership, an integrated computer being, analzyed the strengths of those fighting. "Hm... So there are some fighters in this world besides those accursed agents..." The ship carefully landed carefully and a cautious distance from the fight, where they began to set up their plan for the complete upheval of Earth.

"What abomination of nature...!?" Nyx Avatar spoke as it shone it's rays down upon him. The stream of light blazed down upon him, striking the surface of his Moonless Gown, and then--
As if it were striking Ammy instead, the heat blazed around the ground. Nyx didn't feel a thing, the pain, the heat,... the warmth,... the light....
However, the trick was not without it's use: At such a low level of power remaining, Nyx could not maintain the barrier, which disappointing almost immediately after the attack. The sun also faded, as the full moon glowed brightly.
"As long as I stand, 'day' shall not exist during the Dark Hour. It's almost time..." Nyx Avatar said. His power was nearly gone... it was draining much more quickly than before, even with the strain between his link. "Could it be... that thing?" He pondered, glancing at the Ouroboros.
"I shall end this now. I summon thy power, Nyx... grant me this last blessing. Go forth, Night Queen!"
The bloody red glow around Nyx began to brighten one last time, then shoot up towards the Moon in a continual stream of light.
...it is over now. He muttered, holding his blade high as the red energy continued to fly to the Moon, all the while oblivious to everything else in the world except the moon...

Then, he pointed his sword downward. And the stream of energy came back down from the Moon, passing through Nyx Avatar, Snake, Bowser, anybody underneath... without an effect. It came down fast, hitting the ground... and then a second beam came down. And another. And another. And another, until countless streams of energy were falling from the heavens, hitting the ground without a single effect.
One even came down upon the Ouroboros, but did not pass through it like the others, instead stopping upon it... and leaving a shining red light on the surface it struck. In fact, everywhere that the odd beam had touched the ground, a dot of light was glimmering, each slowly shrinking in size.
"I'm afraid... I just don't have the strength left... to detonate them myself. I will just wait for them to respond to me naturally..." Nyx spoke, his voice less steely and monotonous. "Once they go off, anything living caught within the blast will either die immediately, or wish they did... This is the path of your choosing... For the sake of the rest of the world... Death... awaits... you..."

With the utterance of his last word, his face cracked, a few pieces falling off like a mask to reveal part of a human face, Ryoji's, eyes closed asleep. He began to fall head-down, his great bulk slowing his decedent to a drift rather than weighing him. As he passed by the point of where the Ouroboros had been hit, the small dot of light flashed...
...And exploded in a demonic sphere of energy. It was a menagerie of colors: blacks, reds, yellows and any color between, each one blinding to the eye. It blossomed outward violently, spreading it's form thin before growing too big and disappearing. A large gaping hole was left on the side of the ship.
Nyx Avatar slowly drifted downward in a flurry of feathers, towards the awaiting time bombs below.
((How's that for a Trump card. XD Just like the games! Course, I won't give away how to stop them, but you can.Pretty simple, too, and there's a 'prize' for the guy who does it.))

"This'll be one hell of a fight," the man said, coldly, "and we can't afford to lose."
"You kiddin' me, Strife? I've got all I need right here." the other man retorted, holding up both his arms. One hand had a huge firearm attached to it.
The helicopter slowed down over the battlefield. Cloud surveyed the scene. He spotted a evil-looking man with long, white hair and an elongated sword. "There he is. Drop me off here. Barret, I'll meet up with you later. I've got some business to take care of."
Cloud grabbed the handle of his Buster Sword, and jumped out of the heli in midair. It wasn't too high off the ground. He drew his sword as he landed. He landed, just as planned, in front of Sephiroth. He said nothing, but looked Sephiroth sharply in the eye, without averting his gaze for a split-second.

He crashed into the ground between Cloud and Sephiroth, a blast of dark mist and feathers rising from the crater.
Ryoji's standing form, not Nyx Avatar's, could be seen silhouetted within the dust, scarf blowing in a nonexistant wind. As it all cleared, the outline was revealed to have nobody behind it, only the scarf, fluttering away in the wind.
A sudden brightening in the sky occurred, as the moon no longer seemed to loom over the world, and the darkness of the night seemed to recede. All the Shadows simultaneously disappeared, without a trace.
The Dark Hour had left the world again.

A child's voice rung out in Snake's head, full if a soft eagerness only a child could have.
"...Hey, Snake... Snake, can you hear me?" He spoke. "You did great! You all did... there may be hope for you guys yet."

Agent J had returned a little after Chieftain and Starr, and reported the good news, that the city was safe for the moment. Following suit, he was told to await orders for the next mission.

With the influence of the Dark Hour gone, all the electricity and power returned to normal machines.
The odd cloud formation above the city was also dispersing, the ring spreading to cover the sky in a regular blanket of cloud cover.
Albert's scream echoed in the sky, cutting short as a purple flash shot across the clouds.

I can hear you, Snake thought, and looked up to the sky. It was strange how normal things looked when less than a minute ago, they were all certain they would die. Thank you.
While Sephiroth and Snake acted unfazed by what happened, Ike couldn't act as calm. He had to find Elincia. That was the whole reason he was in that city to begin with.
Bowser fell over. Asleep. He could finally get some rest without worrying about Mario kicking his butt.

A boy of a young age materialized in front of Snake. He had black hair and pale skin, but the face was the same of Ryoji and Nyx Avatar's, and was adorned in a loose, black and white pajama set.
"You don't have to 'think' your words, you know. I can hear just fine." The boy said. "Although you should be the only one who can see or hear me. Just letting you know, if people start to stare when you talk to yourself." He laughed at his own joke, a kind laugh, making the prospect that only moments ago, he had been the behemoth set on destroying the city.
"Aaaaaanyways, you aren't done yet. Just because I was bested doesn't mean that everybody is any less safe. It's here now, the Beast... I can sense it, above the clouds. If you listened, you could've heard the scream; quite a ghastly fate for that man, but I guess you would say that he deserved it, Snake, right?"

They kid disappeared, reappearing again a little ahead, pointing to the sky. "I really don't know what it is, it has no identifiable arcana at all. I can tell you this though: It's big, but the soul of it is the real threat, regardless of size, as it feeds off of death and unhappiness. Even makes some, if there isn't any around... Shwoop! Sucks it all up for food, and either kills or control's it's prey. Once it's hooks have you, no turning back, although it usually doesn't effect the strong willed."
The boy reappeared again beside Snake. He was frowning, furrowing his head in thought with his arms crossed. "Oh, yeah, and it's about to crash into this city and kill anybody left around here. Although, I can't FEEL all too many left here, besides you all, that it could feed on... now do you know why We had to try to kill off everybody? There wasn't much choice, seeing as Nyx and I were just going to nourish it if we fought it head-on..."

The Core SA-X could not really see very well as the lighting had fused it's eye hole together and it was now flying around the city and could easily be seen. Though if anyone somehow managed to open it shell up it could attack them and take them over.

He disappeared momentarily, then reappeared again several feet away. "Oh, I almost forgot. Pay attention to some of those who helped you before. Not all of them are as kind-hearted as they first seemed when everybody palled up together." He disappeared again, this time not reappearing.

He quickly picked up his sword and charged Sephiroth at full speed. He lifted his sword halfway, hoping to hit Sephiroth. Cloud swiftly jumped in the air mid-run, and started to bring his large blade down towards Sephiroth.
