Clay quickly put his ex-mercenary skills to work; he shot at the dogs, using their movements to his advantage so that they would hit; the dog flew off, and he shot at the other two to keep them away. Once they all laid down and stopped moving, he walked over and offered to help her up. "You alright?"

Brandon woke up, noticed the open cloudy sky above him, and looked around slowly. Where was he?. He wasnt in his bed, that was for sure...it all came back to him. Zombie! Somewhere near by! People dead! Oh noes! Brandon picked up the rocket launcher which had left an ugly bruise on his forehead. If he could put this to good use...
"Where did a zombie get one of these, let alone manipulate it?" He wondered aloud to himself, not really expecting an answer. "How do I shoot? Wheres the trigger?" The launcher was several feet long and covered with complicated wiring. No trigger was visble, no big red button, nothing Brandon could see. He threw it down.
"Why the hell am I the only one here who dosent know how to survive?! Here I have a freakin' ROCKET LAUNCHER, and I cant even do anything with it!! Why—" He was cut off by the sound of heavy footsteps coming up the stairs behind him. Time was running out, and it was time to take action. His heart hammering, he grabbed up the rocket launcher and frantically turned it over and over, looking for something, anything that he may have missed.

"I'm fine." Katrina stood up.
"Around this corner is the lift."
She went around and pressed a button of the lift. Nothing happened.
"Ah, right, they cut the power. We'll have to go upstairs by foot...twenty five floors..." Her face looked tired already.

Brandon scrutinized the launcher, and finally found a handhold.
"Could this be it...?" He wondered out loud, but sweat was blurring his eyes. He wiped them on his shirt and looked at the stairs just in time to see the zombie pull himself over the top stair and onto the roof.
Brandon aimed the launcher at him and grabbed the lever that he had found.
"Eat rocket, you whore..." he muttered, glaring at the brute. He jerked the lever back, and with a satisfying

*click*

it did nothing. Brandon stared at it for a second, then let out an infuriated scream before charging at the zombie and beating it visciously over the head with the rocket launcher. It fell down and Brandon carried it to the edge where he kicked it off, throwing his English book down on top of it to spite it.

"Well, we might as well go," said Clay. He led upstairs, and as they went further and further up, a very loud moan was heard. He didn't shudder, but he said, "... D'you think that's the head zombie?"

Still being chased by zombies, Naru kept running till he got up the stairs. He was grabbed by one but knocked him back. Doing so, he dropped a lot of ammo leaving what was left in his shotgun and 5 shells. He climbed up the stairs and kept running. As he did, he thought of the dynamite that wouldn't lit on the ground some floors down. "Maybe some hot lead will give results..." He said quietly. His stamina was reaching it's limits even with all the adrenaline rushing though him. He turned around and grabbed a board of wood probably used for barricading. He threw it on the rails and jumped on it. He slid back to where the dynamite was. He waited for the zombies and when they were close enough, he shot one stick of dynamite and saw zombies blew to bits. He got scratched up from the explosion but he wasn't too close. "I need...rest..." He barely mumbled as he saw that there was no zombies left. "Just...some...sle.." He thought as he drifted to unconsciousness.

Brandon stared down at the fallen zombie several stories below with a sense of satisfaction. This pride was dispelled shortly later, however, when the zombie slowly stood up and started heading towards the door again.
This was no time to celebrate. He needed to find a car key, and he had just wasted more time. Brandon turned and hurried down the stairs to the hallway below.
